Volume 4, Chapter 239 – Come and Kill Me
The two women beside him trembled at his words, instantly plummeting from heaven into hell. Never in their wildest dreams had they imagined that this strange fellow would not only walk straight into a trap but also have the audacity to taunt death itself.
Duan Feng and his son were equally stunned. They hadn’t expected the cloaked man before them to be so brazen as to openly provoke them. For a moment, they stood frozen.
“Young master, this is no laughing matter. You should refrain from such jokes in the future.”
Liu Yingchun, eager to avoid conflict, quickly stepped in to mediate.
“Oh? Manager Liu, I agree, it’s not funny at all. Which is why I’m not joking. Killing this guy will solve all our problems in one stroke.”
Qi Huang reiterated, knowing full well that the man before her was the root of all their troubles.
“You—!”
Liu Yingyue trembled with fury, thinking to herself, ‘If you have a death wish, don’t drag me into it!’
“Young punk, you’ve got quite the mouth on you. Did life kick you so hard that you’re begging for an early grave?”
Ah Feng roared in anger.
“Ah, you guessed right. Life has been pretty rough. There were times I really wanted to die!”
Qi Huang sighed, recalling the days when her body had gradually feminized. Of course, she didn’t actually want to die now, she’d long since grown accustomed to this form.
“Tch…”
Ah Feng sneered dismissively.
“Jin Biao wanted to die, and now so do you? He got cuckolded, what about you? Don’t tell me you were cuckolded too?”
Xia Wei asked incredulously. She had assumed this guy was here to kill someone, not to offer himself up as a sacrifice.
“Jin Biao wanted to die? What do you mean?”
Duan Feng cut in, puzzled, but no one paid him any attention.
“Little brother, you’re only sixteen. You haven’t met enough girls yet, don’t be so pessimistic! There are plenty of good women in this world, like me. How about I accept your proposal and become your sweetheart?”
Liu Yingyue quickly tried to coax him. Whether he wanted to commit suicide or self-destruct, neither outcome would be good for the Golden Fortune Auction House. As the manager, she couldn’t just stand by and watch.
“Really? That sounds wonderful! Suddenly, I don’t feel like dying anymore.”
Qi Huang cheered, delighted. She hadn’t even finished speaking, yet a few careless words had somehow earned her a stunning beauty as a lover. What a windfall!
“Too bad. Whether you die or not isn’t up to you anymore.”

Duan Feng coldly interrupted. “You just said killing me would solve everything. I’d like to hear your reasoning. If you can’t give me a satisfactory answer, I’m afraid those cat’s tears will become relics by tonight.”
“Uncle Duan, what are you doing? This is our auction house’s client! As a manager, do you intend to harm a client right here in front of everyone?”
Liu Yingyue exclaimed in shock.
“First and foremost, I must stay alive, then I can be the auction house’s manager. If he’s openly threatening to kill me, am I not allowed to defend myself?”
Duan Feng countered with flawless logic.
“Deputy Manager Duan, you’re quite experienced in turning auction items into relics, aren’t you? You always have an excuse ready.”
Qi Huang sneered.
“What experience? I have no idea what you’re talking about!”
Duan Feng feigned ignorance.
“Uncle Duan, don’t listen to him! He’s just joking!”
Liu Yingyue panicked and hurried over to Qi Huang, pleading, “Young master, I beg you, let’s stop here, alright? If you have any requests, just name them!”
“Oh? So does that mean your promise to accept my proposal still stands?”
Qi Huang asked excitedly.
“Yes! Of course it does!”
Liu Yingyue agreed without hesitation, though inwardly she was already scheming. No matter what, she had to stabilize this lunatic first and figure out an escape plan later.
“Good. Since my dear wife says we should stop here, I’ll stop playing around and lay my cards on the table.”
Qi Huang’s expression turned serious. “Let me tell you the truth, Jin Biao is already dead. Before he died, he confessed everything. You, old man, are the mastermind behind all this. Once you’re dealt with, all our problems will vanish. Is that reason satisfactory enough?”
“Wh-what? But you promised—!”
Liu Yingyue shuddered, nearly choking on her fury.
Duan Feng and his son’s expressions flickered briefly before quickly returning to normal.
“Oh? Really? I’m curious, how did you kill him?”
Duan Feng asked calmly.

“He just stood there and let me do it. Apparently, his wife cuckolded him, so he had a death wish.”
Qi Huang played dumb.
“What a pathetic waste!”
Duan Feng, believing her, scoffed in disdain.
“Fine. Then I’ll lay my cards on the table. Yes, I did it. But what can you do about it?”
Duan Feng sneered arrogantly.
Liu Yingyue opened her mouth, intending to rebuke him, but the words died in her throat. She had already known about this, she’d cursed him out before. Doing so again now would just sound hollow.
“Oh? Manager Liu, you don’t seem surprised at all. Could it be… you already knew?”
Duan Feng mocked.
“You shameless bastard! How dare you commit such atrocities! Aren’t you afraid I’ll report this to the Liu family?”
Liu Yingyue gnashed her teeth.
“Ohoho, my dear niece, you’re here to prove your managerial skills. If you can’t even handle a small problem like this without running to the family, your father might as well give up on becoming clan leader in this lifetime!”
Duan Feng retorted, utterly unshaken.
“Yeah, didn’t you just get yourself a fiancé? Why not rely on him? Let him help you! Hahaha!”
Ah Feng joined in the mockery.
“You—!”
Liu Yingyue clenched her teeth so hard they creaked.
“Ah, don’t be angry, my dear. Young Master Duan has a point. If such a trivial matter requires family intervention, what’s the point of having a fiancé?”
Qi Huang, however, remained perfectly composed as she took Liu Yingyue’s delicate hand in hers.
Liu Yingyue froze.
The hand holding hers was smooth, soft, and boneless, utterly unlike a man’s.
“Is… is she a girl? Or perhaps… a pampered young master? But can a man’s hand really be this delicate? It’s even smaller and softer than mine…”

The thought flashed through her mind before she could stop it.
“Good, good. At least you’ve got some backbone. But tell me, young master, how exactly do you plan to help your fiancée? By killing me?”
Duan Feng jeered.
“That’s the idea.”
Qi Huang’s tone remained light and carefree.
“No, no! He doesn’t want to! Not at all!”
Liu Yingyue desperately tried to mediate again.
“Oh? But unlike Jin Biao, I’m stronger than him, and I haven’t been cuckolded. What makes you think you can kill me?”
Duan Feng’s breathing slowed, his face twisting into a predatory grin as he coiled like a beast ready to strike.
“Oh? Deputy Manager Duan is stronger than Jin Biao? How unexpected, a businessman who hasn’t neglected his martial arts!”
Qi Huang feigned surprise.
“You think an outsider like me became deputy manager on brains alone? In these chaotic times, I’d have died ten times over by now.”
Duan Feng boasted smugly before taunting again: “So unless I want to die, you killing me is nothing but a pipe dream!”
“Actually, I think you do want to die. You’ve been provoking me nonstop, isn’t that just begging for death?”
Qi Huang mused.
“Oh? If I want to die so badly, then come and kill me! Let’s see how you plan to do it! Hahaha…”
Duan Feng spread his arms wide in challenge.
“Heh. You’re the second person today to make such a strange request. If I don’t oblige, I’d seem stingy.”
Qi Huang clapped her hands together, then retrieved the Cicada Wing Sword from her spatial ring before standing up and walking forward.
“Nice sword. Must contain a fair amount of Blue Scale Stone. Looks like we’ll have another relic by tonight.”
Duan Feng’s eyes gleamed greedily.
“Father, he summoned that sword out of thin air, he must have a spatial ring or something similar. That’s another fine relic.”

Ah Feng reminded him.
“No relics here. But there will be two corpses in a moment.”
Qi Huang smirked darkly.
“Wait, young master! Don’t be rash! You’ll die! We’re just two weak women, we can’t save you!”
Liu Yingyue hurriedly tried to stop her.
“Don’t worry, my dear. I won’t die. But they certainly will. You’d better close your eyes, wouldn’t want the blood to scare you.”
Qi Huang warned.
“Yeah, yeah, close your eyes. I wouldn’t want my future concubine traumatized, bad for fertility.”
Ah Feng chimed in mockingly.
“……”
Liu Yingyue had no choice. With a bitter expression, she turned to plead with the Duan father and son.
“Uncle Duan, he is our auction house’s client, and he’s selling something as valuable as cat’s tears. You know how important this is to us. Please, show some mercy.”
“Relax. Before I kill him, I’ll make sure he reveals the source of those cat’s tears.”
Duan Feng remained unmoved, then turned back to Qi Huang. “Enough chatter. Ready? I’m sitting right here, come and kill me!”
“Everyone heard that, he asked for it. Don’t blame me later!”
Qi Huang first absolved herself of responsibility, then stretched her limbs before advancing toward Duan Feng.
Unable to bear the sight, Liu Yingyue and Xia Wei shut their eyes, unwilling to watch a sixteen-year-old boy meet a gruesome end.
“Done!”
A moment later, Qi Huang’s voice rang out again.
“Done… what?”
Puzzled, Liu Yingyue and Xia Wei opened their eyes, and what they saw left them utterly speechless.
