Volume 1, Chapter 26 – How Dare You Drug Me? (Part 1)
The owner of these beautiful eyes was none other than Miao Xiang. She had a round little face, adorable bunny teeth, and unusually bright, large eyes. Though petite, her proportions were flawless—a true little cutie who made everyone who saw her want to pinch her cheeks until they turned red.
“Wuu… Her height is about the same as Little Junior Sister’s… and her figure is similar too…”
Miao Xiang tucked her tiny body into a corner, biting her delicate finger in thought. “Eldest Senior Sister and the others said there isn’t another woman in Ping’an County with this kind of figure. So then…”
“That means the suspect must be you!”
Her large eyes grew even brighter as she turned to leave, muttering triumphantly under her breath, “Hehe, I’ll go report back to Senior Sisters. This time, I found the suspect first—let’s see who dares call me useless now!”
“Ah!”
Too caught up in her excitement, Miao Xiang forgot to watch where she was going. Her small foot caught on a loose brick at the side of the street, sending a sharp pain shooting through her as she doubled over.
“Oww… It hurts so much!”
Clutching her tiny foot, she sniffled, her large eyes quickly welling up with tears. The sight broke the hearts of many men nearby.
“No… If I leave now, what if the suspect gets away?”
The pain cleared her mind slightly, and she soon realized the problem. Limping, she turned back and quietly peeked toward the government office.
Huang Qi followed his parents into the government office, where they were led by an attendant to the main hall and seated.
“Please wait a moment, the County Magistrate is out inspecting the people’s conditions. He should return shortly.”
The attendant was relatively polite as he greeted them before leaving the three alone.
With no other choice, Huang Qi and his parents waited patiently in the hall.
“Sigh! I hope the County Magistrate returns soon. If we leave too late, the road will be dangerous.”
Huang Kairong spoke with concern.
“If it’s late, we shouldn’t go back. Let the villagers stay overnight and leave at dawn.”
Huang Qi suggested, since traveling at night in these times was practically suicide.
“The problem is, staying overnight costs money. How could they possibly afford it?”

Huang Kairong’s face twisted in worry.
“Even if they were willing, they don’t have the money. Many of the villagers came empty-handed, just to help us out.”
Li Fen added from the side.
Huang Qi realized the difficulty—he didn’t have spare money to throw around either. Their only hope now was for the County Magistrate to return quickly.
About fifteen minutes later, several attendants entered from outside, led by the middle-aged officer who had delivered the announcement to Huatian Village the day before.
Spotting the family of three, the officer’s face broke into a warm smile as he approached.
“Here to register?”
“Yes, sir! But the County Magistrate is out, so we’re waiting for him.”
Huang Kairong and his family quickly stood up. Though imperial authority had weakened greatly in these times, commoners still couldn’t afford to offend government officials.
“Please wait a little longer. The Magistrate should return soon.”
The middle-aged officer spoke kindly, his gaze sweeping past Huang Qi’s curvaceous figure without lingering—the very picture of a refined gentleman.
‘Huh, this guy seems decent!’
Huang Qi was surprised. In his experience, officials were usually the type to wield the smallest shred of authority like a royal decree.
“You’re just going to let them sit here without even serving tea? Hurry up!”
Without warning, the officer suddenly barked at his subordinates.
“Yes, Constable Wang!”
One of the runners quickly acknowledged before disappearing through a side door.
“So you’re the Chief Constable! My apologies for not recognizing you earlier!”
Huang Kairong, startled, bowed again with cupped fists.

“No need for formalities. I have official business to attend to, so I’ll take my leave.”
Constable Wang politely excused himself, though his eyes flicked to Huang Qi one last time—briefly, but noticeably.
“Constable Wang doesn’t put on any airs at all. He’s a good official.”
Huang Kairong remarked after sitting back down.
“As the saying goes, ‘If the upper beam is crooked, the lower beam will follow’. The reverse is also true. Our County Magistrate is honest and strict in enforcing the law, so those under him naturally follow suit.”
Li Fen’s expression held a trace of admiration.
Huang Qi nodded thoughtfully. Though he’d never met the County Magistrate of Ping’an, the man’s “great achievements” were so widely praised that his ears had grown calluses from hearing about them. He was indeed a well-respected official.
Before long, an attendant runner brought out tea.
“Thank you!”
Huang Kairong expressed his gratitude before taking a sip.
Huang Qi and his mother did the same—after the long mountain journey, their throats were parched.
After a few sips, Huang Qi gradually felt drowsiness creeping in. His parents, meanwhile, were already yawning incessantly.
“Husband, I must be exhausted from the walk. I’m so sleepy… I’ll rest my eyes for a bit. Wake me when the County Magistrate arrives.”
Li Fen could no longer hold out and leaned against her husband.
“Mmm…”
Huang Kairong responded weakly before quickly dozing off in his chair.
Huang Qi’s energy also waned rapidly, an overwhelming tide of exhaustion gnawing at his consciousness.
‘Wait… I’ve already reached the Spirit Gathering Realm. Why would I feel sleepy?’
A sudden realization struck him. He remembered clearly—the Honghua Sect’s cultivators had said that once one reached the Spirit Gathering Realm, they could go seven days without sleep. Yet he hadn’t even lasted two days before feeling drained.
‘Were they lying?’

Huang Qi couldn’t make sense of it, but he knew he absolutely couldn’t fall asleep—doing so would mean feminization. Desperately, he circulated the Guihai Art, using its refreshing energy to fight the fatigue. But the effect was minimal, leaving him slumped in his chair, eyelids heavy. At least his mind remained clear—no dreams meant no danger.
He struggled to open his eyes but couldn’t. Attempting to move his limbs, he found even a single finger unresponsive. It was as if he were paralyzed.
Just as Huang Qi wrestled with his immobility, he heard hurried footsteps approaching.
“Well done, Xiao Shun!”
Constable Wang’s voice rang out.
“Thank you for the praise, boss!”
The attendant who had served the tea earlier replied.
‘What’s ‘well done’?’
Huang Qi was utterly confused.
“Boss, when you said yesterday you’d met a rare beauty in Huatian Village, I didn’t believe it. Now I see—this little lady’s figure alone is driving me wild, even with the veil. So damn hot!”
Another attendant runner chimed in.
“Yeah, I’ve never seen a woman in Ping’an County this tall and stacked. Must be from out of town.”
“If I could sleep with her, I’d brag about it for life.”
“If she could bear me a child, my ancestors would be honored!”
The other three runners eagerly agreed.
“Wanzhou, don’t forget—I’ve seen countless women. My judgment is never wrong.”
Constable Wang boasted, though in these times, even the County Magistrate couldn’t claim to have seen “countless women”, let alone a mere constable.
Huang Qi’s stomach churned as he listened to them openly lust over his figure. He nearly vomited—thankfully, his body remained paralyzed.
“Right, right! So, boss, what do we do now?”

Wanzhou asked hurriedly.
“What do we do? We carry this little lady inside and have our fun, of course! Who knows how long the drug will last? And the County Magistrate will be back soon—we’ve got to move fast.”
Constable Wang ordered.
‘Drug?!’
Huang Qi finally understood—he’d been drugged. No wonder he’d felt inexplicably drowsy.
‘These damn beasts! Wearing official uniforms, eating public grain, yet committing such vile acts right in the government hall!’
Rage burned in Huang Qi’s chest. He hated their lack of scruples—and hated himself for letting his guard down.
“What about these two old folks?”
Wanzhou hesitated before asking.
“Why bother with them? Unless you’re interested?”
Constable Wang shot back.
“N-No, not at all!”
Wanzhou denied frantically.
“Then hurry up! Carry the girl inside and leave the old ones.”
Constable Wang waved impatiently.
The attendants obeyed, stepping forward to lift Huang Qi.
The next moment, he felt himself being hoisted up and carried deeper into the building.
‘Damn it, these animals are trying to violate me!’
Huang Qi’s heart leaped into his throat. As a man, he couldn’t truly be “violated”, but if anyone saw his current body—neither fully male nor female—the humiliation would be worse than any physical violation. Worse still, his plan to pose as the Huang family’s daughter-in-law would be completely ruined.
