Volume 6, Chapter 351 – Sister, He Was Killed by Me

None of the group had expected such an outcome. Their minds reeled in disbelief, even Qi Huang was no exception. She had never dreamed that a cultivator from the prestigious Huxiao Sect would stoop to such shameless, despicable acts.

He Chao’s Life Soul fled his body. Though consumed by fury, he dared not throw himself against an immovable force and instead turned to escape.

Tian Yu, however, had no intention of letting a tiger return to the mountains. With a full surge of his Divine Sense, he crushed the fleeing soul on the spot.

“Ah—!”

The three male guards finally reacted, their faces twisting in terror as they turned to flee. The reason was simple: their relationship with Liu Yingyue was purely transactional, employer and hired hands, not master and servant, much less family. Naturally, they had no intention of throwing their lives away.

The coachman, sensing something amiss, leapt from the carriage with a panicked shriek and joined the desperate scramble to escape.

The three women, however, remained rooted in place. Liu Yingyue, though terrified, could not run due to her status. Xia Wei, who regarded Liu Yingyue as her own sister, would never abandon her.

As for Qi Huang? She wasn’t afraid in the slightest. Why would she flee?

‘Heh. I was just worrying about how to deal with you, never thought you’d deliver yourself to me.’

Once the initial shock passed, Qi Huang felt a flicker of dark amusement.

“Trying to run? You can do that after you’re dead!”

Tian Yu had already resolved to kill and loot, he wouldn’t allow any witnesses to escape. His figure blurred as he vanished, reappearing as a streak of afterimages darting past the four fleeing men. When he solidified once more, the blood staining his blade was blindingly vivid.

Only then did the four feel an itch on their necks. Belatedly, they reached up, only for their own blood to gush forth in torrents, impossible to staunch.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The four collapsed almost simultaneously, their faces frozen in horror.

Qi Huang made no move to intervene. Such faithless, dishonorable men deserved their fate.

“Now then,” Tian Yu turned back to the three women with a leer, “it’s just this immortal and you three little lambs left!”

“Tian Yu! What do you think you’re doing?!” Xia Wei demanded, her voice trembling with fury as she shielded the two “helpless” women behind her. Though her body quivered slightly, not a trace of fear showed on her face.

“Was I unclear? From now on, you belong to me.”

Tian Yu advanced step by step, his smirk icy.

“Tian Yu, you’re a cultivator of the Huxiao Sect! If word of this gets out, your sect will be reviled across the land, there won’t be a single place in the Western Radiance Dynasty where you can show your face!”

Liu Yingyue tried to intimidate him even as she pulled Qi Huang behind her.

“Which is exactly why I killed those men. As for you three little lambs… once your bellies swell, do you really think you’d dare expose the father of your own children? Hah!”

Tian Yu’s confidence was unshakable.

“Tian Yu, tell me, why are you doing this? Was the payment not enough? Name your price. If I can afford it, it’s yours.”

Liu Yingyue attempted to bribe him.

“This immortal isn’t doing this for money. It’s because of that little bitch!”

Tian Yu’s face twisted with sudden venom as he glared at Qi Huang.

“At first, I just wanted a job, some spare coin. But then this brat had the gall to humiliate me in front of everyone! I’m a disciple of the Huxiao Sect, how could I let some snot-nosed girl disrespect me like that? So she has to pay. And her punishment? Becoming my personal plaything. As for you two… well, blame your own bad luck.”

“You, a cultivator, would go this far over a child’s thoughtless words?”

Liu Yingyue stood dumbfounded.

“The Huxiao Sect is the greatest immortal faction of Yongning Province! How dare a mere mortal offend us? She should be grateful she’s pretty enough to be of use, otherwise, she’d already be dead.”

Tian Yu’s arrogance was boundless.

“Miss, run! I’ll hold him off!”

Xia Wei’s face hardened with resolve as Tian Yu closed in.

“You hold me back? Maybe if you stripped naked. In clothes? Not a chance. Hah!”

Tian Yu’s sharp ears caught her whisper, and he laughed cruelly.

“And this is a disciple of the Huxiao Sect? Truly eye-opening.”

Qi Huang’s mocking voice cut through the tension like a blade.

The two women beside her paled instantly. Who would’ve thought this girl had no sense of self-preservation, daring to provoke him at a time like this?

“The sharper your tongue now, the deeper your regret later. I’ll make sure of it.”

Tian Yu’s smile vanished, his gaze turning frigid.

“If you touch us, retribution will find you!”

Qi Huang spat back like a stubborn child.

“Stop talking, please!”

Xia Wei whirled around, teeth clenched.

“Pathetic. If curses worked, what need would there be for laws?”

Tian Yu spread his arms mockingly.

“Don’t celebrate too soon. What’s meant to come will come, it’s only a matter of time!”

Liu Yingyue forced out the threat, her voice unsteady.

“Then let’s wait and see. Starting now, you’re this lord’s breeding stock. We’ll make children while we wait, see whether retribution or your pregnancy comes first.”

Tian Yu’s patience had run out. He strode forward.

“RUN!”

Xia Wei shouted, then charged at Tian Yu without hesitation. Her sword, fueled by every ounce of her strength, came crashing down toward his skull.

Tian Yu’s lips curled in disdain. His eyes held nothing but amusement.

‘Oh, retribution’s already here.’

Qi Huang’s lips twitched in contempt. Her Divine Sense erupted from her body like a tidal wave, crashing down upon Tian Yu with overwhelming force.

BOOM!

Tian Yu’s body exploded without warning, like a firecracker during New Year’s, flesh and blood spraying in all directions. His head went flying, the same arrogant smirk still plastered across his face.

Xia Wei, having put her all into the strike, suddenly found herself swinging at empty air. Her blade buried itself deep into the ground, and she nearly toppled over from the momentum. But so what? To any onlooker, it looked like she had cleaved Tian Yu apart with a single stroke.

‘How… is she this strong?’

Tian Yu never imagined he’d be killed in an instant. Even as his Life Soul fled his body, his face remained blank with shock.

Liu Yingyue, being an ordinary person, could only see the surface of things. Overjoyed, she rushed forward.

“Xia Wei! You, you actually killed a Huxiao Sect cultivator in one strike! Your martial skills have improved so much!”

“Uh… I…”

Xia Wei stood frozen, utterly lost.

“No, no! Sister, I killed him!”

Qi Huang hurried over, her voice small but insistent. She preferred to stay low-key, but she couldn’t let others keep taking credit for her deeds, otherwise, she’d really be seen as a freeloader.

“You killed him? How? By glaring at him?”

Liu Yingyue arched a brow, half-amused.

“If I said yes… would you believe me?”

Qi Huang ventured cautiously.

“Do you think I would? Little girls shouldn’t claim credit for things they didn’t do. Don’t worry, your payment won’t be short.”

Liu Yingyue rapped Qi Huang’s forehead chidingly.

Xia Wei, of course, didn’t believe it either. She rubbed her head, scanning their surroundings in confusion.

Meanwhile, Tian Yu’s Life Soul had regained its senses. With a snarl, it lunged at Xia Wei.

As a Unity Realm cultivator, even in death, his soul could linger briefly. Dealing with a few mortals would be child’s play.

“You dare kill me? A mere martial artist, what use is your strength now? Even as a wraith, I’ll drag you to hell!”

But before his vengeful soul could reach her, his form suddenly locked in place.

“What’s happening?!”

Tian Yu’s soul flailed wildly, only to realize it had been seized by an enormous, invisible hand, a hand woven from Divine Sense.

‘A supreme expert?!’

Terror gripped him. Following the hand’s origin, his gaze landed on the very girl he had vowed to make his plaything, the masked “brat” he had so thoroughly underestimated.

“No… no! Impossible! How old are you? How can your Divine Sense be this powerful?!”

His face contorted in disbelief before twisting into sheer horror.

Qi Huang spared him a glance, her lips quirking in unmistakable mockery. With a mere thought, she crushed his soul into nothingness.

“Miss, what do we do now? The guards and coachman are dead. It’s just us three women left.”

Xia Wei turned to Liu Yingyue for guidance.

“I have to return home to send Father off. If you’re afraid, you can turn back.”

Liu Yingyue’s voice was resolute.

“Miss, how could you say that? The master raised me as his own, he was like a father to me too! How could I abandon him now? I’m only worried for your safety.”

Xia Wei’s eyes burned with emotion.

“No matter the danger, I must go back.”

Liu Yingyue’s tone brooked no argument.

“Don’t worry, you still have me! As long as I’m here, I’ll make sure you both return to the Liu family unharmed.”

Qi Huang piped up confidently, only to be completely ignored by both women.

…Fine. Staying low-key isn’t bad. More surprises for them later.

Qi Huang sighed inwardly.

And so, the three women continued their journey. Qi Huang and Liu Yingyue returned to the carriage, while Xia Wei took up the reins as their new coachman.

Meanwhile, back in the capital, Liu Biao once again visited Liu Yingyue’s residence. This time, he intended to sound out the Ancestress’ stance. If he could win over the old lady, the entire Liu family would soon be his to control.
