Volume 7, Chapter 446 – Battle Against Lü Er (Part 1)
“Is it starting already? Did they even sign the waiver?”
“No, I’ve been watching those two the whole time.”
“No waiver means it’s not a deathmatch, right? How boring!”
“I told you. One of them is a lecherous fool, and the other is just trying to climb the social ladder. They’re just putting on a show. Did you really think they’d fight to the death?”
As the Immortal Alliance disciple finished speaking, the cultivators from various sects all showed faint disappointment.
“Hahaha…”
At the same time, Lü Er instantly appeared on the stage. He looked down at Qi Huang with disdain. “A woman is just a woman. I thought you actually had the guts to fight me to the death, but it turns out you were just bluffing. Well, since you’re a woman, I won’t hold it against you.”
“Who said I was bluffing?”
Qi Huang smiled faintly and began walking step by step toward the stage. As for why she didn’t fly? Who would dare to fly while wearing a skirt? She had no intention of giving the male cultivators below an unwarranted peep show.
“Do you know why I didn’t sign the waiver? It’s not because I was afraid. It’s because I didn’t want to give you any room to back out.”
Qi Huang stepped onto the stage.
“Back out? Me? What a joke! To borrow Cheng Kang’s words, do you really think your earlier performance was all that intimidating?”
Lü Er sneered.
“Not intimidating enough? Don’t worry, the scary part is yet to come.”
Qi Huang gave an indifferent smile before turning to the Immortal Alliance disciple. “Senior Brother, could you fetch us a waiver?”
“Of course.”
The disciple bowed nervously.

“No need. I’ve already prepared one for you.”
At that moment, Steward Cai, that wretched old man, appeared on the stage like a ghost, holding a yellowed scroll in his hand. Clearly he had come prepared.
“Steward Cai is quite efficient.”
Qi Huang couldn’t help but mock him inwardly. ‘This old man must be itching for Lü Er to kill me as soon as possible, huh? Too bad for him, that’s just a fantasy.’
“As the host of the Evergreen Conference, it’s only natural to be thorough.”
Steward Cai shamelessly justified himself before conjuring up a brush, ink, and a table like a magician. He then unrolled the scroll.
“The two of you, if you truly wish to settle this with life and death on the line, sign this waiver. Once you do, this match will officially become a death duel. The Immortal Alliance will not interfere or take responsibility, and neither side’s friends, family, or sect may seek revenge afterward.”
“Hear that? I’ll give you one last chance. If you don’t sign and can withstand even half a move from me, I might just be merciful enough to take your main body as a concubine.”
Lü Er stared at Qi Huang’s dazzlingly beautiful face and, against his better judgment, actually tried to persuade her.
Steward Cai frowned slightly in displeasure.
Without another word, Qi Huang picked up the brush and swiftly signed her name.
“You chose this yourself. Don’t regret it.”
Lü Er’s expression finally twisted into something vicious as he, too, signed his name without hesitation. A man’s patience had its limits. If this had been anyone else, he wouldn’t have wasted a single word.
“Haha! They finally signed the waiver! Now we’ll get a good show!”
“Don’t celebrate too soon. Look at Lü Er, he’s clearly still lusting after her. Who knows if he’ll actually go through with it?”
“Exactly. Signing doesn’t mean they’ll fight to the death. You can’t stop a man from being tender with a beauty.”

“I think Qi Huang is just taking advantage of Lü Er’s lust. That’s the only reason she’s so bold.”
“Hearing you say that makes me worried. What if Lü Er loses because he goes easy on her? If that happens, we so-called ‘noble’ cultivators will never live it down.”
“Lü Er might be a lecher, but he’s not an idiot. As a descendant of immortals, doesn’t he know what losing would mean? And even if he were an idiot, he’s still a peak Incarnation Realm cultivator. Even if he stood there and did nothing, Qi Huang wouldn’t be able to break his defenses. How could she possibly win?”
“Even if she could win, would she dare? Her goal is to win Lü Er’s favor, not defeat him.”
The cultivators below erupted into discussion again, but most still doubted the sincerity of this so-called deathmatch.
“Good. Now you may begin. Since this is a deathmatch, there’s no need to hold back.”
Steward Cai gave a pointed reminder before stepping off the stage with a mysterious smile. In his eyes, Qi Huang was already a dead woman.
The tens of thousands of spectators fell silent. Though no one knew whether this would truly be a fight to the death, they all understood one thing. The outcome would determine whether the doctrine of bloodline supremacy remained an unshakable law of the cultivation world.
“Lü Er! Give it your all! The pride of all cultivators rests on your shoulders!”
“That’s right! She may be a local, but she dares to challenge bloodline supremacy. That means she’s an enemy of the entire cultivation world! Don’t hold back!”
“Lü Er, you’re a descendant of immortals! If you lose, how will you face your ancestors? What will become of the Lü family’s dignity?”
“Don’t be fooled by her beauty! If you lose, what woman would ever respect you again? Is one tree worth abandoning the whole forest?”
Suddenly, voices cheering for Lü Er rose one after another.
“Are you all insane? Have you forgotten how this Central Continent bastard insulted everyone earlier?”
“Exactly! How shameless can you be, groveling to someone so arrogant?”
“What’s so great about an immortal’s bloodline? Our junior sister will soon beat him until he’s picking his teeth off the ground! Just you wait!”

A few senior sisters angrily retorted, but their voices were drowned out by the overwhelming tide of support for Lü Er.
“Hear that? Most of your fellow locals support me. Pathetic, isn’t it?”
Lü Er smirked at Qi Huang.
“Who said most support you? We support Qi Huang!”
“Fairy Qi, give it your all! Show those so-called ‘superior’ cultivators that even lowly bloodlines can defeat them!”
“Everyone, cheer for Fairy Qi! Drown out those cultivators’ voices, let them see who the true majority is!”
At that moment, the tens of thousands of mortals outside the walls roared in unison, their sheer numbers overwhelming the voices of the cultivators inside.
“And now? Who’s pathetic?”
Qi Huang shot back.
“Ridiculous. As a cultivator’s doppelgänger, you’re standing up for a bunch of lowly mortals? Have you no regard for your main body or your sect’s reputation?”
Lü Er tried to sow discord.
“Sorry, but my main body and sect have never believed themselves superior just because of bloodline. They know that the reason cultivators are respected isn’t because of ‘excellent’ bloodlines or strength. It’s because they genuinely work for the common people.”
Qi Huang rebutted calmly.
“Well said, Fairy Qi! If strength alone earned respect, then the world is full of powerful demons and monsters. Why aren’t they welcomed?”
“This Lü Er keeps calling us ‘lowly mortals’. Is he really a descendant of immortals? More like a descendant of demons!”
“Fairy Qi, we’re rooting for you! Defeat him! From now on, we’ll only acknowledge one immortal sect, the Honghua Sect!”

The mortals outside the walls grew even more fervent.
Hearing this, the Honghua Sect disciples couldn’t help but smile. Their years of risking their lives for the people had not been in vain.
“Anything else to say?”
Qi Huang shook her head pityingly.
“Nothing left to say. Unfortunately, this is the Evergreen Conference, not a court debate. In the end, strength is what matters. Once I send you back to Cheng Hongling’s Sea of Consciousness, those lowly peasants will shut their mouths for good.”
Lü Er’s gaze turned icy.
“Good! Then let’s fight! I’d like to see if you’ve got what it takes!”
Qi Huang nonchalantly pulled out a small stool from her spatial ring and sat down, leisurely cracking melon seeds. Her sparkling eyes didn’t even glance at Lü Er.
“What are you doing? Giving up?”
Lü Er was stunned.
“I said from the very beginning, if anyone can make me leave this stool, I’ll admit defeat. You’re no exception.”
Qi Huang swung her legs carefreely.
“You’re dead!”
Lü Er exploded with rage. His powerful legs stomped the ground, shattering the granite beneath him as he crossed a distance of over thirty meters in an instant. His massive fist tore through the air with a terrifying howl, aimed directly at Qi Huang’s chest without a shred of mercy.
This punch was far faster than the one he had used against Cheng Kang.
