Volume 8, Chapter 471 – Breaking Through to the Heavenly Tribulation Realm (Part 2)

In the cultivation world, once a cultivator breaks through to the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, they will immediately attract ‘Heavenly Tribulation’. Heavenly Tribulation consists of two components: ‘Heavenly Disasters’ and ‘Mortal Calamities’.

To be honest, Qi Huang wasn’t sure whether her divine sense breaking through alone would attract the Heavenly Tribulation. Mimi grew even more confused.

Qi Huang ordered directly.

Not daring to argue, Mimi immediately transformed into a light green cross-collared robe under Qi Huang’s guidance.

“Senior Brother Cheng, what kind of herbs are you buying? Why go to town so late?”

“Heaven’s Gate Grass and Dragon Lotus Basin, both are spirit herbs necessary for breaking through to the Incarnation Realm.”

“What? Such precious herbs can actually be bought? Is this for real? I haven’t even managed to collect a single herb for breaking through to the Unity Realm!”

“We’ll know once we get there.”

“What if it’s a scam?”

“A scam? This is the Donglai Sect’s territory, who would dare trick me? Do they have a death wish?”

Soon, the voices of Cheng Kang and his two followers echoed along the mountain path.

Cheng Kang and the other two wore expressions of utter shock, unable to believe that someone would dare cause trouble on the Donglai Sect’s turf.

Qi Huang took out a special rope, swiftly tied up Cheng Kang, and tossed him into an empty spatial ring. Then, without hurry, she flew westward.

The other two Donglai Sect disciples regained their freedom and immediately screamed for help, scrambling back toward the sect.

Qi Huang ignored them, she had let them go on purpose. After all, she needed someone to deliver the news.

After flying for a while, Qi Huang doubled back, quietly hiding near the Donglai Sect and observing Ye Donglai’s movements with her Shadow-Retaining Mirror.

Before long, the two terrified disciples returned to the sect and reported Cheng Kang’s abduction to the higher-ups.

Just as Qi Huang had anticipated, Ye Donglai couldn’t sit still. He immediately left the sect and streaked westward in pursuit.

A faint smile curled Qi Huang’s lips as she ghosted into the Donglai Sect. Thanks to her speed and Mimi’s ability to shield her from divine sense detection, there was no risk of being discovered.

She quickly infiltrated Ye Donglai’s room, located the hidden compartment from memory, broke through the divine sense barrier protecting it, and emptied its contents in one sweep.

After smoothly completing the theft, Qi Huang wasted no time leaving the sect. Though several divine senses swept over her, Mimi’s shielding ensured she remained undetected.

Qi Huang returned to the inn grinning from ear to ear. Who could fathom how ecstatic she was? With the Heaven-Deceiving Water in hand, not only could her divine sense immediately ascend to the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, but she could also effortlessly rescue Yaoyao and infuriate that old bastard Ye Donglai in the process. It was a win on all fronts.

“I wonder how that old man will react when he returns to find his home robbed?”

Qi Huang gloated maliciously. This was what they called “going for wool and coming home shorn.”

“Just wait. Tonight, I’ll make you cry tears of blood!”

With a cold laugh, Qi Huang took out the small bottle of Heaven-Deceiving Water from the box. With this, she could finally ascend to the long-coveted Heavenly Tribulation Realm.
