Volume 8, Chapter 483 – A Method to Stop Feminization (Part 3)
“Remember what you said. If you fail, you won’t be called Cheng Jing anymore—you’ll be renamed Cheng Ri.” 1 晶 (Jīng) = crystal/bright/pure > 日 (Rì) = sun/day. There’s also another meaning to 日 that is a slang for “F*ck”, which probably makes more sense in this context.
Cheng Hongling issued a warning before proceeding to assign the undercover mission.
“But the problem is, I don’t know how that Huang Jin dresses or looks!”
After a brief moment of thought, Cheng Jing raised the question.
“I’ll summon him out right now.”
With a flick of her divine sense, Qi Huang summoned Huang Jin from her Sea of Consciousness.
Cheng Jing curiously examined Huang Jin from head to toe. After all, both of them were Essence Souls.
“You look exactly like me! Are you really still a boy?”
After a while, Cheng Jing couldn’t help but remark.
“Uh…”
Huang Jin, who had a feminine appearance but a male body, hung his head in deep shame. He already felt inferior in front of Cheng Hongling’s doppelgänger, let alone in this half-male, half-female state.
Qi Huang also felt somewhat awkward. After all, this androgynous being was her Essence Soul.
“Enough nonsense. Have you memorized his appearance? If so, change your clothes to match his.”
Cheng Hongling impatiently commanded.
Only then did Cheng Jing rein in her curiosity. With a thought, her attire transformed to match Huang Jin’s, a simple wooden hairpin holding up her hair, a coarse linen robe, canvas shoes, and no other accessories.
Qi Huang scrutinized the two carefully. Due to Huang Jin’s lower body not being fully feminized yet, there were still subtle differences in their figures. However, the loose robe easily concealed this flaw.
“Why does she need to look like me?”
Huang Jin was utterly confused.
Qi Huang didn’t explain, since this guy could betray them at any moment, she couldn’t reveal the plan.
“Not only will she take your form, you will also change your appearance.”

Cheng Hongling, standing nearby, issued another order.
“Why?”
Huang Jin grew even more puzzled.
“Just do as you’re told. No more questions.”
Qi Huang snapped impatiently.
Not daring to press further, Huang Jin quickly altered his appearance to match Cheng Jing’s. His coarse robe shifted into an elegant red Feathered Dress with wide sleeves, his black hair cascaded down, adorned with delicate hair ornaments, and his canvas shoes transformed into red embroidered slippers.
“Are you planning to use Huang Jin to impersonate Cheng Jing and lull Cheng Ling into complacency?”
After a moment of contemplation, Qi Huang sent a telepathic message to her main body for confirmation.
“You figured it out? Correct. Based on past observations, Cheng Ling and her assimilated counterparts can communicate even across spatial barriers. If I take Cheng Jing out now, and soon after, your female spirit counterparts report to her that Huang Jin has been fully assimilated, do you think she’ll grow suspicious?”
Cheng Hongling reminded her.
“True.”
Qi Huang nodded in agreement.
“That’s why I must bring ‘Cheng Jing’ back into the Sea of Consciousness, to lower her guard. Whether this works or not… well, that’s up to fate.”
Cheng Hongling took a deep breath.
“Don’t worry. We will succeed.”
Qi Huang tried to bolster their morale.
Without further ado, Cheng Hongling turned to Huang Jin and commanded, “Remember, from this moment on, you are my Essence Soul, Cheng Jing. Once inside the Sea of Consciousness, say nothing, do nothing, and never reveal your true identity.”
“Understood.”
Though still clueless about the specifics, Huang Jin obediently nodded.
Cheng Hongling then used her Soul Tether to wrap around Huang Jin’s body and pull him into her Sea of Consciousness.

Qi Huang watched, stunned. The main body could use a Soul Tether to control her doppelgänger, yet she couldn’t do the same to the main body’s doppelgänger. Such was the privilege of being the main body!
“Alright. Let’s enter the spatial ring.”
Qi Huang turned and informed Cheng Jing before leading this so-called “Tenth Sister” into one of her spatial rings.
The reason for entering the ring was simple: Cheng Hongling’s cultivation had only reached the Incarnation Realm. Without shielding herself from the Heavenly Dao’s suppression via the ring, she wouldn’t last long.
The same went for Qi Huang. Though she had reached the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, summoning six spirit counterparts at once was still a heavy burden, as the Heavenly Dao’s suppression intensified with one’s cultivation level.
“Sixth Sister, is there anything else you need to instruct me on?”
Cheng Jing addressed Qi Huang.
“Why ‘Sixth Sister’? Before, you all said I was ranked fifth, shouldn’t it be ‘Fifth Sister’?”
Qi Huang teased.
“Because we’ve now acknowledged the Life Soul as Eldest Sister, so the rankings of the Three Ethereal Souls and Seven Corporeal Souls have each dropped by one position.”
Cheng Jing explained matter-of-factly, appearing genuinely compliant now.
“Hah. Gaining your recognition wasn’t easy.”
Qi Huang laughed self-deprecatingly before reiterating some key details Cheng Jing needed to remember.
“Listen carefully. When I summon those six female soul counterparts later, blend in among them and pretend to be my Essence Soul. Your mission is to uncover the method to reverse assimilation.”
After giving her final instructions, Qi Huang’s Life Soul retreated into the Sea of Consciousness.
Once inside, Qi Huang stormed up to the six female spirits with a scowl and berated them:
“You lot, despite being my soul counterparts, you keep siding with outsiders. The more I think about it, the angrier I get!”
“So what? What can you do about it?”
The Heavenly Surge Soul, Huang Tian, sneered mockingly. Ever since being refined into a doppelgänger, she had suffered under Qi Huang’s tyranny, making her a staunch “traitor”.

“That’s right. Even if we side with others, we’re still your soul counterparts. It’s not like you can kill us.”
The Spiritual Wisdom Soul, Huang Ling, chimed in.
“Not to that extent, no. But while the death penalty may be waived, living punishment isn’t. I will find a way to discipline you.”
Qi Huang pretended to deliberate before smirking.
“How about I shove all of you into a spatial ring and let the Heavenly Dao’s will teach you a lesson?”
“Have you lost your mind?! If we’re suppressed by the Heavenly Dao, do you think you’ll be spared?”
Huang Tian exclaimed in shock.
“Doesn’t matter. Pain and pleasure go hand in hand. As long as I’m happy, it’s worth it.”
Qi Huang waved a hand dismissively, then used her Soul Tether to bind the six purely female spirits, along with Huang Jin, and yanked them out of the Sea of Consciousness. In the blink of an eye, they materialized inside the spatial ring.
Cheng Jing, who had been waiting there, subtly moved closer and blended into the group.
None of the six female spirits noticed that Huang Jin had been swapped out, so not a single one showed any suspicion.
“Stay here and reflect on your actions. Let me know when you’ve come to your senses.”
With that final remark, Qi Huang left the ring, she needed to give Cheng Jing room to operate.
“See this, everyone? This is our Life Soul, completely devoid of logic, a full-blown lunatic. Is there any future in following her?”
Huang Tian glanced around and posed the question.
“None! Sister Cheng Ling is the only one worth following!”
The other female spirits nodded in agreement.
“What about you?”
Huang Tian turned specifically to Cheng Jing.
“Sister Cheng Ling is mighty and domineering!”

Cheng Jing offered a half-hearted cheer.
“Ugh, that slogan is so cringe! Admit it, did Qi Huang send you to spy on us? Have you been pretending to defect this whole time?”
Huang Tian’s expression darkened.
“Not at all. This time, I’ve truly switched sides.”
Cheng Jing’s beautiful eyes flickered mischievously.
“Still lying? Tell her to give up. No matter how well you act in the future, we’ll never believe you.”
Huang Tian’s lips curled into a mocking smile.
“Then what would prove my loyalty?”
Cheng Jing asked, her tone playful.
“Nothing. Unless you’re fully assimilated.”
Huang Tian taunted.
“Exactly! Only when you’ve been completely transformed will we accept you as one of us, sis!”
The other female spirits echoed the sentiment.
“What a coincidence, today’s the day we become sisters, then. I’ve already been fully assimilated by Eldest Sister.”
Cheng Jing replied nonchalantly.
“We don’t believe you. Not unless you show us your body.”
Huang Tian remained stubbornly unconvinced.
“No problem. Take a look if you want!”
Without hesitation, Cheng Jing lifted her robe and pulled down her pants, revealing a pair of slender, snow-white legs.
