Volume 8, Chapter 570 – One Against Seven (Part 10)
Qi Huang was indeed a “crippled” cultivator, but there was one thing on her body that had always grown stronger alongside her Divine Sense, the three thousand strands of black hair behind her head.
Ever since the first time she used Ghost Tomato, her hair had not only gained vitality but also hardened like steel. After more than two years of steady reinforcement, even she no longer knew just how tough it had become.
When this scene unfolded, the tens of thousands present instantly fell into silence. Even Cheng Hongling was no exception. No one could make sense of Qi Huang’s bizarre actions.
“Her hair? Why did she suddenly pull out a few strands of hair?”
“If she were a Heavenly Tribulation Realm expert, pulling out a few strands might still make those so-called Great Monsters cautious. But as she is now, even if she pulls every last strand, it’s pointless.”
“Maybe she’s given up on herself. Even if her cultivation is at the eighth layer of the Divine Realm, she’s probably almost spent by now. Girls get flustered and like to yank their hair when anxious, I know this all too well. I often do it myself. Once I cry, my husband immediately softens.”
“Really? Then could she be using some kind of beauty trap? If she tugs out a few more strands until it hurts enough to bring tears, maybe those monsters won’t be able to strike her. They might even surrender outright.”
“True, true. I’ve heard her looks are no less than Ning Wuxia’s. Even those male monsters would surely desire her. If she takes this chance to leave a good impression, it could open doors later on.”
The spectators, unable to comprehend her actions, began letting their imagination run wild.
“Holy Maiden, may I ask… this doppelgänger of yours, what is she doing?”
Protector Yuan asked Cheng Hongling carefully.
A trace of unease flickered across Cheng Hongling’s face. She hurriedly questioned the doppelgänger: “What are you doing?”
“My hair is tougher than magic treasures. Just watch if you don’t believe me.”
Qi Huang answered casually. After all, this was not something that could be explained in a few words.
“Haha, hair? You mean to pierce my Rock-Steadfast War Armor with hair? Don’t tell me you’ve exhausted your Divine Sense and are just lashing out in despair?”
Tang Long’s mocking laughter echoed across the Immortal-Forging Platform.
“I wonder which countryside bumpkin Huarong Sect picked up, that she doesn’t even know what Rock-Steadfast War Armor is?”

Xiao Dian sneered.
“This Rock-Steadfast War Armor is one of Qiankun Sect’s grand treasures. Only those who have mastered the Rock Heart Art can wear it. Although it was damaged during a Heavenly Tribulation, leaving only the artifact spirit behind, the battle armor it can now condense is still extremely formidable. No one below Heavenly Tribulation Realm can break it.”
Tang Long introduced it smugly, as though selling melons while praising their sweetness.
“Brother Tang, why tell her everything? Aren’t you worried she might have another powerful treasure?”
Cao Yang said helplessly.
“Impossible. As far as I know, Huarong Sect has no offensive-type treasures aside from weapons that could break the Rock-Steadfast War Armor!”
Tang Long declared with confidence.
“Yes. Huarong Sect only has a few swords and blades that might manage it. But those are weapons, which can’t be used here under the Supreme Domain’s restrictions.”
Hua Yu confirmed.
“Is that so?”
Qi Huang let out a cold laugh. More than ten strands of hair, longer than silver needles several times over, suddenly vanished.
The Seven Monsters couldn’t even catch the trajectory of those strands. They simply stood there wide-eyed, like lambs awaiting slaughter.
But a few of the old monsters among the spectators did perceive the trajectory. One by one, they shot to their feet, their expressions turning grave.
“Haha, just bluff—”
Tang Long, having felt nothing unusual for quite a while, continued his mockery. But before he could finish, he suddenly felt a faint pain in his abdomen.
Baffled, he swept his Divine Sense across his body, only to discover a tiny hole no larger than a pinprick in his abdomen. The wound had pierced clean through his body to his back, puncturing both his clothes and battle armor.

That wasn’t the most horrifying part. What truly made his heart sink was the strand of hair lying inside that hole, skewering his waist like a candied hawthorn stick. That was clearly the culprit!
‘Impossible!’
While Tang Long reeled in disbelief, his internal organs began bleeding. The pain in his abdomen surged, his vision darkened, and he let out a muffled groan.
The other six prodigies suffered the exact same fate. All of them groaned in pain, three of the girls quickly bursting into tears.
“Yang Jin… hiss… hurry, heal us… heal us now!”
Hua Yu gasped and urged.
Yang Jin snapped back to her senses and attempted to infuse True Qi into her wooden sword, but at that very moment, the strand of hair in her abdomen began wriggling back and forth, like a blade slicing her organs apart.
“Ahhh!”
Her hysterical scream tore through the air as she collapsed, rolling on the ground. Sweat and tears streamed down her face as she writhed in agony, unable to cast “Withered Wood Blooms Again”.
“What’s happening?”
The other monsters were bewildered, until the strands inside their own abdomens began wriggling like parasites, shredding their organs from within.
“Ahhh!”
The six of them toppled to the ground, screaming in misery, their combat power completely destroyed.
“What’s going on?”
Most of the distant spectators wore blank expressions.
“I… I just can’t comprehend it… mere hair… why… why could it pierce my armor?”
Tang Long roared, forcing down his pain.

“To tell you the truth, the Grand Elder was worried when I set out, so she bestowed a few strands of hair upon me for protection. I tucked them into my head. Those strands just now were her gift.”
Qi Huang lied through her teeth, she had no desire for anyone to uncover her secret trump card.
“So that’s it? No wonder she suddenly pulled out some hair.”
“If those were strands from a Heavenly Tribulation Realm expert, then yes, they could indeed pierce the Rock Armor.”
“But why didn’t they draw the Heavenly Tribulation?”
“Idiot, obviously she coated them with Heaven-Deceiving Water. Didn’t she just use some earlier? Did you forget?”
The crowd of cultivators all revealed looks of understanding.
“Leader, that Holy Maiden of Huarong Sect is about to win.”
Not far away, Elder Ma warned nervously beside Cao Hong.
“Do you need to remind me? I’m not blind!”
Cao Hong snapped, his face dark as iron.
“But… but shouldn’t we do something? If we just let her win, how will we ever hold the Evergreen Conference again? On what basis can the authority of the Immortal Alliance be upheld in the future?”
Elder Ma pressed on, though nervously.
“And what do you suggest? Under broad daylight, what can I, the Vice Leader of the Immortal Alliance, possibly do?”
Cao Hong shot back coldly.
Elder Ma opened his mouth, then deflated like a punctured balloon, falling silent.

“Well then? Do you admit defeat or not?”
Qi Huang clasped her hands behind her back and asked leisurely. These brats had made her suffer earlier, this was simply returning the favor.
“Stop… hiss… I admit defeat! I admit defeat!”
Xiao Dian surrendered first. The others quickly followed. Even cultivators couldn’t endure this kind of excruciating torture.
“Hmph! So much for so-called monsters, they’re nothing more than this!”
Qi Huang sneered coldly, then withdrew her hair.
The prodigies lay gasping on the ground, not one of them able to stand.
“Yes! The Holy Maiden has won! She’s beaten seven at once!”
The Huarong Sect disciples erupted into cheers, racing toward her with excitement. They had thought they’d merely spectate at this continental Evergreen Conference, never expecting such a huge surprise.
“Huarong Sect’s Holy Maiden actually won, this is unbelievable!”
“It was only her doppelgänger! Don’t forget, she beat those seven monsters with just one doppelgänger. Who knows how strong her true body is? A peerless genius like this may never have appeared in the entire history of the cultivation world!”
“No more talk of monsters. From today on, there’s only the Great Monster of the cultivation world, Huarong Sect’s new Holy Maiden! Those so-called heirs of immortals are nothing but mere talents. No, not even talents!”
“And that’s not the worst of it. The real problem is this: what will become of this Evergreen Conference? The seven strongest seedlings have all lost to someone not even eligible to participate!”
“Exactly. There’s no point in continuing it anymore!”
Tens of thousands of cultivators now gazed upon her with reverence, crowding toward her like stars surrounding the moon.
Meanwhile, the relatives and supporters of the seven prodigies all hung their heads in despair. They knew that after this battle, the prestige of the immortal clans would plummet drastically.
