Volume 9, Chapter 600 – Fight to the Death (Part 2)
Qi Huang unleashed nearly the full extent of her Divine Sense, yet she could only barely make out a faint residual shadow. But that was enough. With a mere thought, the wooden box in front of her suddenly exploded, revealing a piece of dried bark. This was a war trophy she had seized at the Continental Evergreen Conference, the bark of a Tree Demon at the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, once belonging to none other than Xiao Dian, the Holy Son of the Jingtian Sect.
Back when Qi Huang went to the Donglai Sect to rescue Yaoyao, she had learned a crucial truth: humans could also harness Heavenly Tribulation. That revelation opened a new path for her cultivation, and so, during the Evergreen Conference, she had decisively claimed this bark without hesitation.
Qi Huang knew this item would prove useful sooner or later. Thus, she had carefully preserved it in the wooden box, regularly sprinkling it with Heaven-Deceiving Water to conceal its aura.
And today was precisely the day it would be put to use.
The moment the bark was exposed, an oppressive, terrifying aura crashed down from the heavens, warping the very fabric of space. It was as if the Milky Way itself came flooding upside down from above.
At that exact moment, the Source of Yin Miasma lunged straight toward Qi Huang. Under the crushing weight of this terrifying pressure, she staggered uncontrollably, falling like a bird with broken wings.
Qi Huang seized the opportunity. The Boundless Demonic Hair behind her surged like an unfurling black waterfall, lashing toward the Source of Yin Miasma and swiftly wrapping around it layer upon layer.
Without hesitation, Qi Huang leapt forward, pressing the bark firmly against the figure at the Source of Yin Miasma. Her long hair coiled tightly around them both, binding them inseparably. Thanks to the Heaven-Deceiving Water she had used earlier, she remained unaffected by the bark’s aura.
“This is…?”
The source of the yin energy let out a startled voice. Though her entire body was bound tightly, she could still speak. The eerie contrast sent chills down the spine.
Instinctively, the Source of Yin Miasma struggled violently. But with the Heavenly Pressure suppressing her, nearly seventy to eighty percent of her strength was sealed. Coupled with the powerful restraining force of the Boundless Demonic Hair, she found herself trapped, unable to break free.
Ignoring the searing pain on her scalp, Qi Huang clung on, her hair locking tighter and tighter around her foe. She waited, heart pounding, for the Heavenly Tribulation to descend. Everything hinged on this moment.
Meanwhile, the sky above churned as dark clouds rolled together, colliding and compressing. Thunder roared deafeningly, while dazzling arcs of lightning danced and twisted like living serpents.
“Not good! It’s a Heavenly Tribulation! A Heavenly Tribulation!”

From a distance, Wang Jun suddenly broke into a frenzy, sprinting toward them. But his cultivation was too weak, after only a few steps, the oppressive heavenly might forced him flat onto the ground. He struggled to shout hoarsely, “My lady! That’s a Heavenly Tribulation! You must run!”
Nearby, Baiyun was equally terrified upon hearing his words, but like Wang Jun, he too was pinned down by the Heavenly Suppression and could not offer any assistance.
“You want to use the Heavenly Tribulation against me? Keep dreaming!”
the Source of Yin Miasma roared with muffled defiance. Yin miasma surged violently from every pore of her body, desperately trying to corrode the Boundless Demonic Hair. But no matter how much yin power she released, it had no effect whatsoever.
“How is this possible?! Yin energy can erode all things!”
“Exactly! With Mistress’s yin so potent, even refined steel would dissolve instantly. How can it do nothing against that woman’s hair?!”
“That hair… it’s unnatural. Maybe it’s something equally sinister. We have to help our lady!”
“But how? Even Brother Wang can’t get close, what can we possibly do?”
The remaining specters and fiends grew restless and anxious, but the overwhelming heavenly might kept them frozen in place, helpless.
“You, a mere mortal, wielding strands of hair infused with yin power… You were born to become one of us! Then die for me!”
Even under the suppressive force of the heavens, the Source of Yin Miasma remained terrifyingly composed. Her entire body erupted with corpse toxins, condensing into clouds of green mist that sought to devour the demonic hair. But yet again, it was useless.
Above, the rumbling thunder intensified, and the flashes of lightning grew blinding. The storm of tribulation was seconds from descending.
“My lady!”

Several fiends screamed frantically, forcing their bodies forward step by agonizing step, but after only two strides, the heavenly might crushed them flat onto the ground.
“What is this cursed thing?!”
Enraged, the Source of Yin Miasma underwent a horrifying transformation. Her bones suddenly sprouted outward, ripping through her skin as enormous spikes burst free. They pierced through the gaps in the Boundless Demonic Hair, turning her body into a grotesque, bristling hedgehog.
Then the sharp bone spikes began to grind up and down, sawing through the demonic hair like blades!
The Boundless Demonic Hair was unbelievably resilient, but the bone spikes were monstrously sharp. Each cut was powerful enough to distort the surrounding space, severing strand after strand.
Seeing the bark about to fall free, Qi Huang’s heart clenched. She immediately unleashed her full Divine Sense, hammering it down upon the yin energy source.
Already weakened by the suppression of heavenly might, the Source of Yin Miasma was overwhelmed by the sudden assault of a Heavenly Tribulation-level Divine Sense. Her body plummeted like a meteor, crashing toward the ground.
BOOM…!
The impact was earth-shattering. A massive crater, hundreds of meters wide, exploded into existence, shaking the entire Pingshan Mass Burial Ground. The nearby fiends were sent flying from the shockwave.
“Heavens above! This is the perfect chance, strike her down! Kill her!”
Qi Huang stared unblinkingly into the crater, praying feverishly.
This time, the heavens seemed to answer her call. A bolt of lightning tore apart the darkness, splitting the skies as it descended toward the yin energy source. From afar, it looked as though the world itself had been cleaved in two.
Qi Huang froze in horror. At such close range, she knew the lightning would inevitably engulf her too. She hastily condensed her Divine Sense into a massive protective shield, encasing herself. As for her hair, she dared not retract it. If she did, the bark would be torn free instantly.

“Do you think a Heavenly Tribulation can harm me?!”
the Source of Yin Miasma bellowed furiously. Her bone spikes shot upward, merging into an enormous spear that pierced the sky, thrusting directly toward the descending lightning. The spearhead glimmered with deadly sharpness, slicing faint scars into space itself.
Spear and lightning met head-on in a raw, explosive clash.
BOOM…!
A deafening roar shook the heavens. Space itself tore apart, opening a massive rift as a tidal wave of destructive force surged outward in all directions.
Qi Huang fought desperately to hold her shield together, but the force was overwhelming. Her mind throbbed with searing pain as though her skull was being split open, while the relentless pull of her hair against her scalp made her feel like she was being torn apart alive.
Finally, the Heavenly Thunder shattered the massive spear. Though its power had diminished, the bolt still plunged downward, unrelenting, toward the yin energy source.
“You like Heavenly Tribulation? Then enjoy it!”
From within the crater, the Source of Yin Miasma let out a crazed howl and began spinning like a whirling top at terrifying speed.
Qi Huang had no time to react before she was yanked violently forward. She hurriedly tried to withdraw her hair, but her body, drained of strength, couldn’t resist the momentum and was flung helplessly through the air.
‘I’m finished! This time, I’m dead for sure!’
Despair flooded her heart. But then, something entirely unexpected happened, shocking everyone present.
By sheer coincidence, the direction she was hurled aligned perfectly with the spatial rift created by the earlier clash. In an instant, her body vanished into the crack.

The Source of Yin Miasma, meanwhile, had no time to concern herself with Qi Huang. Channeling every last drop of her yin power, she condensed a pitch-black shield above her head.
The lightning struck a heartbeat later.
BOOM…!
The deafening explosion rocked the earth violently, hurling up clouds of dust hundreds of meters high. For a moment, it looked as though the apocalypse itself had descended. Only after a long while did the chaos subside.
Down in the crater, the Source of Yin Miasma source stood trembling. Her once-elegant appearance was in ruins. Hair disheveled, clothes torn, body smeared with dirt and streaked with burns both large and small.
Face grim and eyes seething, she wavered as she rose from the depths of the crater, finally floating back up to its edge. Her gaze swept the surroundings, searching for her missing pets and servants.
Elsewhere, Qi Huang had been sucked into the spatial rift. She quickly stabilized herself using her Divine Sense, suppressing her dizziness as she scanned the area.
To her surprise, a vast, mist-shrouded land stretched below, drenched in dense yin energy.
Without daring to look back or hesitate, Qi Huang steeled herself and plunged down into the shadowed forest beneath.
Landing awkwardly, Qi Huang staggered to her feet, catching her breath. Before her stretched an endless sea of violet, countless glistening ghostly tomatoes blanketed the land, shimmering eerily under the dim light.
“Am I hallucinating from overusing my Divine Sense?”
She rubbed her eyes, struggling to believe what she saw.
