Volume 9, Chapter 621 – She Alone Slaughters Through Four Nations (Part 8)
Diao Pei hastily swept his Divine Sense over the so-called National Preceptor of the Western Radiance Dynasty, yet found nothing at all. Instead of feeling worried, he was actually delighted. This proved that the other party was wearing a robe crafted from the pelt of the Nine Nether Demon Cats, not that she was too fast for him to perceive.
Qi Huang stood high above, gazing down at the Beiling Kingdom’s military camp. Perhaps they feared she would break them down one unit at a time, so the more than one hundred thousand troops all cowered inside, not daring to step out.
‘Saves me the trouble of hunting them one by one.’
With a cold sneer, Qi Huang drew out the Shadow-Retaining Mirror. She intended to record her “masterpiece” in its entirety. As for those so-called experts, they were nothing in her eyes.
Of course, before anything else, she had to rescue the captured citizens of the Western Radiance Dynasty. Though Beiling Kingdom claimed they left no survivors, that decree only applied to men. If they encountered young women, they would take them back instead. Reproductive resources were extremely precious in this world after all.
With a flick of Divine Sense, Qi Huang’s will split into over a hundred spectral arms, which shot into several of the tents below. From within, they yanked out one young woman after another, bringing them before her. These were all her own country’s citizens, seized by the Beiling Kingdom army.
Over a hundred women, caught unprepared, screamed in fright.
“Quiet. I am the Western Radiance Dynasty’s National Preceptor, Li Die. I came here to save you.”
Qi Huang barked impatiently.
“National Preceptor? You are the honored National Preceptor?”
The women’s tears turned to smiles.
Qi Huang’s will stirred again, and she sent them directly into her Spatial Container.
“Impudent thief! How dare you run rampant before me!”
Diao Pei bellowed in fury, soaring into the sky with a sharp tearing sound as he charged toward Qi Huang.
“Kill! For the Beiling Kingdom!”
Behind him, countless cultivators and warriors surged forth like a tide, each with eyes blazing in murderous intent, their will to fight unshakable.

Unfortunately, before absolute strength, willpower was utterly meaningless.
“Ants.”
Qi Huang muttered with disdain. Her formidable Divine Sense spread across a radius of one li, and then she suddenly descended from the heavens. From afar, it looked as though the Milky Way itself came crashing down, sweeping up the hundred-plus so-called experts and hurling them violently against the earth.
BOOM…!
The ground shook as if struck by a meteor. A terrifying shockwave rippled outward, sweeping up soil and rock that blotted out the sky. Mountains collapsed, rivers burst their banks, and everything in its path, whether living or dead, was buried.
When the dust finally cleared, the ground had sunken more than three zhang deep, forming a basin over one li wide. Its floor was smoother than polished glass. Soldiers, horses, tents, even entire hills, all had been erased in a single act of dimensional collapse. Hundreds of experts and more than one hundred thousand troops were annihilated in the blink of an eye.
Dozens of cultivators’ Life Souls burst skyward in terror, scattering frantically.
Qi Huang’s Divine Sense swept like a raging tornado, snaring every last one and crushing them.
At the bottom of the pit, Diao Pei knelt trembling, his clothes in tatters, his body quaking as though his brain had hemorrhaged.
“He… Heavenly Tribulation Realm… it truly is the Heavenly Tribulation Realm! Heaven itself seeks to destroy my Beiling Kingdom!”
He muttered, crazed, not daring even to glance at Qi Huang.
The reason Qi Huang spared him was simple, she needed a powerful witness.
Her Divine Sense manifested as a massive hand, seizing Diao Pei and carrying him toward the only intact command tent. Then, without pause, she sped toward the Beiling Kingdom’s Left Army.
Soon, she hovered above the Left Army’s camp. Looking down at the countless tents below, she said to Diao Pei, “Watch carefully. Later, you will tell your emperor how they died.”
Once again, she unleashed her Divine Sense, just as before. First, she rescued the captives. Then, she crushed the twenty thousand troops of the Left Army, burying their camp three zhang beneath the earth, all flattened into “paper men”.
Qi Huang’s ruthlessness stemmed from one fact: wherever the Beiling Kingdom’s army marched, they left no survivors, save for women of childbearing age. Such soldiers deserved only death.

“You… you cold-blooded beast! That was hundreds of thousands of lives! You slaughter them as if nothing, aren’t you afraid of Heaven’s punishment?”
Diao Pei regained his senses, shouting in frenzy.
“Heaven’s punishment? Your Beiling Kingdom army invaded my Western Radiance Dynasty, slaughtered envoys, butchered prisoners, and left no living creature in its wake. Were they not cold-blooded beasts? Did they not deserve Heaven’s punishment?”
Qi Huang’s retort thundered with righteous force.
Diao Pei’s face flushed red, unable to reply.
Qi Huang carried him onward toward the Right Army, Beiling Kingdom’s final force of two hundred thousand.
“Wait! What are you planning?”
Diao Pei asked nervously.
“Why, kill them all, of course. Isn’t that what your Beiling Kingdom likes to do?”
Qi Huang mocked.
“No, no—don’t act yet! Let me discuss with His Majesty. If he agrees to withdraw the troops—”
Diao Pei pleaded instinctively.
Qi Huang gave him no chance. Her immense Divine Sense crashed down, burying the last two hundred thousand soldiers of Beiling Kingdom. If she could trust herself, why would she ever trust others?
“No…!”
Diao Pei’s despairing scream echoed as tears streamed down his aged face. Though a cultivator, he was born of Beiling Kingdom, and thus carried his own loyalty to his nation. Otherwise, he would never have disguised himself as a rogue cultivator to fight in this war.

Next, Qi Huang hunted down the other three nations’ armies. One after another, she buried them the same way. In a single night, she had slaughtered over one million soldiers from four countries.
By dawn, Qi Huang delivered the last rescued women of the Western Radiance Dynasty to safety. Then, dragging Diao Pei along, she set out for the capital of Beiling Kingdom. She had promised Lin Ran and the refugees that within ten days, the four nations would surrender, so she could not simply wait for word to spread.
Qi Huang arrived at the imperial capital of Beiling Kingdom and strode into the palace as if no one existed. With her current strength, even without special robes, not even ordinary cultivators could detect her.
“Who is the emperor of Beiling Kingdom? Get out here before this fairy!”
Her hoarse voice echoed far and wide, the word “fairy” resounding through the palace.
“Fairy?”
Diao Pei shivered, staring dumbfounded at Qi Huang, his body trembling in fear. Not only was this… woman(?) unimaginably powerful, “she” also seemed mentally unstable. No wonder “she” was so ruthless.
“No, no, no…”
Qi Huang startled, then quickly corrected herself. “Who is the emperor of Beiling Kingdom? Get out here before this Immortal!”
“Bold criminal, how dare you trespass into the palace!”
The emperor had not yet appeared, but several palace experts leapt skyward to strike.
Qi Huang’s will stirred. The Cicada Wing Sword flashed once before vanishing back into her ring.
At the same moment, the experts’ bodies convulsed. Like cut kites, they tumbled away, arterial blood spraying from their throats, staining the sunlight red.
Below, the imperial guards showed no fear of death. They loosed their bows, a storm of arrows blotting the sky, screaming as they cut through the air.
“Courting death!”
Qi Huang roared. Her Divine Sense blocked the arrows. Her hair surged violently, falling from the sky like spears, impaling the guards into hedgehogs, their screams fading as they died.

“Stop! All of you, stop! I am the Grand Elder of Wuxuan Sect, Diao Pei!”
Sensing disaster, Diao Pei shouted frantically.
The guards froze in shock, lowering their weapons.
“Elder Diāo, weren’t you at the border? How are you here?”
At that moment, a middle-aged man in dragon robes, pale and refined, stepped forward under heavy guard.
“Your Majesty, forgive me… Diao Pei is powerless. The army of Beiling Kingdom has been completely annihilated.”
Diao Pei choked out.
“What? That was half a million men! Half of Beiling Kingdom’s military might! And in just a few days? How could they all be destroyed?”
The emperor of Beiling Kingdom was livid. In this age of rampaging evils, he had scraped together five hundred thousand soldiers with great effort. If they were all gone, Beiling Kingdom’s strength would collapse.
“Not half a million… more than one million. The armies of Gaosheng, Xueyu Dynasty, and Feisha Dynasty, tens of thousands from each, were wiped out as well.”
Diao Pei sighed.
“What did you say? How could this be? Was it done by that National Preceptor of Western Radiance? Impossible! No matter how strong this person is, he’s only one person. Even a million pigs would take him an eternity to kill.”
The emperor blurted out.
“That is only because Your Majesty has no idea how powerful he truly is.”
Diao Pei shook his head in despair.
