Volume 10, Chapter 663 – They Suddenly Started Fighting
Inside the study this time, there were not only four old men but also six young women.
Qi Huang didn’t even need to think; she knew immediately that these were the ones the main body and her fellow disciples needed to impersonate, because each of these women carried a scent of Golden Fate Blossoms; some strong, some faint.
The young women also examined Qi Huang and the others with scrutinizing gazes, as though they were inspecting livestock meant for sale.
“Ladies, regarding the matter of finding the Golden Fate Blossom seeds, we’ve already finalized our plan. To ensure success, we hope you can give your full cooperation.”
It was Wenren Jun who spoke.
“I wonder,” Qi Huang asked knowingly, “how does Elder Wenren wish us to cooperate?”
“You should already be aware that within the entire cultivation world, only members of the Immortal Alliance are allowed to enter the Kapok Valley Treasure Land. Therefore, we must send you to the Immortal Alliance headquarters so that you can accompany them when they head there.”
Wenren Jun laid out his arrangement.
“No problem! When do we leave?” Qi Huang asked eagerly.
‘Truly the fearlessness of the ignorant…’
The Wenren family members all wore contemptuous expressions.
“Don’t be so hasty! The Kapok Valley Treasure Land is the greatest treasure ground in the cultivation world, producing more than half of the rarest heavenly treasures every year. Countless cultivators dream of entering through the Immortal Alliance’s arrangements, but it isn’t something just any stray cat or dog can achieve.”
Wenren Jun half-truthed, half-lied.
“Then what solution does Elder Wenren propose?” Qi Huang asked curiously, eager to hear what kind of tale this old fox could spin.

“Fortunately, our Wenren family has connections within the Immortal Alliance. However, for safety’s sake, they’ve agreed to allow only Wenren family members to enter. Therefore, you’ll have to impersonate our Wenren daughters to get in.”
Wenren Jun lied without batting an eye, his acting flawless.
“Pfft…”
Qi Huang couldn’t hold back her laughter, thinking to herself, Are you trying to fool three-year-olds?
“Heehee…”
Her senior sisters also failed to contain their giggles, their laughter blossoming like spring flowers.
The Wenren family members frowned deeply, glaring at Qi Huang and the others.
“What’s so funny? You find my words amusing?”
Wenren Jun’s face darkened.
“Don’t misunderstand,” Qi Huang quickly explained, “we’re not laughing at you. We’re just excited, thrilled even, because there’s finally a way to enter the Kapok Valley Treasure Land.”
“Hmph!”
Wenren Jun snorted coldly, then turned to the six young women and said, “You’ll be impersonating these granddaughters of ours.”
After speaking, he addressed the Wenren family ladies, instructing: “Granddaughters, although the disciples of the Immortal Alliance headquarters don’t know you personally, we can’t guarantee you won’t encounter cultivators along the way who’ve seen you before. Veils can hide your faces, but body shapes are harder to disguise. To be safe, choose replacements whose figures are closest to yours.”

“Yes, Grandfather!” the women answered respectfully.
They stepped forward and began scrutinizing Qi Huang’s group from head to toe.
“Also, the one with the lotus mark on her forehead is Cheng Hongling’s doppelgänger. She cannot be chosen,” Wenren Jun added.
The six women nodded in understanding, then began selecting seriously, occasionally offering blunt critiques as though picking outfits rather than people. Their chatter grew so excessive that everyone around started losing patience.
Even though Cheng Hongling wore a veil, her figure was undeniably the best among the six sisters; slender waist, full curves, and legs so long they seemed to defy proportion. Unsurprisingly, she became the center of all six Wenren women’s attention.
“I think her figure is most similar to mine,” said one woman of similar height but noticeably plumper build, eyeing Cheng Hongling.
“Ha! Sister Qian, do you ever look in a mirror? Your waist is twice hers! She’s more like me than you,” sneered a skinny woman beside her.
“Laughable! Do you even have half her chest size? Don’t overestimate yourself,” the plump woman retorted sharply.
“Stop it, both of you. Her figure is clearly closest to mine,” interjected a petite woman.
“You? Jump as high as you like, and you’d barely reach her knees! Her legs are longer than your life!” mocked a sister with a round, broad face.
“Oh please, as if you’re any better! That big face of yours is twice the size of hers. Do you need to stand three zhang away just to see your reflection properly?” the petite woman shot back without hesitation.
“What did you just say? I’ll tear your mouth apart!” the round-faced woman exploded, charging straight at her and starting a physical “discussion”.
And just like that, the six Wenren sisters, who had been selecting stand-ins moments before, descended into a full-blown family feud.

Qi Huang watched, dumbfounded, thinking, ‘Wow, such deep sisterly affection, you start fighting at the drop of a hat.’
Cheng Hongling, meanwhile, quietly stepped aside. She wasn’t afraid of physical fights, but she dreaded messy quarrels.
“What a bunch of delusional women, thinking they could compare themselves to junior sister,” Shen Yuan mocked, stepping back a few paces.
“Shhh!” Yun Fei quickly gestured for silence before deliberately fanning the flames. “I think the Wenren ladies are all quite beautiful, and their figures are just as good as junior sister’s. How will we ever decide?”
“That’s right! Junior sister has the best figure among us. Whoever backs down now is admitting her figure isn’t as good,” Yun Fei added, continuing to stir trouble.
The Wenren ladies, provoked, refused to give an inch. Some even drew their swords.
“Enough! Stop this nonsense at once!” Wenren Jun roared, slamming his palm onto the table and shattering it into splinters.
Startled, the Wenren ladies immediately backed away.
“Utterly disgraceful! Look at yourselves, where’s the dignity of proper young ladies?” Wenren Jun scolded furiously.
The six women lowered their heads, not daring to meet his gaze.
Unable to calm his anger, Wenren Jun shot a cold glare at the Honghua Sect disciples before saying, “Forget it. I’ll make the selections myself.”
Wenren Jun worked quickly, soon matching each granddaughter with a suitable stand-in.
Cheng Hongling was assigned to impersonate Wenren Yu, Wenren Zheng’s youngest granddaughter. Though the youngest of the six, Wenren Yu had the tallest and most elegant figure.

“Alright, now give them your basic information in case the Immortal Alliance questions them,” Wenren Jun instructed.
The Wenren ladies reluctantly shared their details, speaking with dismissive tones as though certain Qi Huang’s group was doomed anyway.
“My name is Wenren Yu, youngest granddaughter of Wenren Zheng. My father’s name is… my mother’s name is… I have two older brothers and an elder sister, but my sister disappeared five years ago…” Wenren Yu explained her background softly to Cheng Hongling, her attitude more pleasant now that she’d found a satisfactory replacement.
After finishing, each Wenren lady handed a small slip of paper containing her personal information to Cheng Hongling and the others to help them remember.
“Remember two things: First, play your roles perfectly and never reveal your real identities… if you do, not even the gods can save you. Second, you must secure at least one Golden Fate Blossom seed and deliver it to me.”
Wenren Jun repeated his instructions, then concluded, “Go rest now. Tomorrow morning, I’ll send people to escort you to the Immortal Alliance.”
Qi Huang and the others, already restless, left the study laughing and chatting.
“Big Brother, don’t you think those Honghua Sect disciples look a little too relaxed? They don’t seem afraid at all,” Wenren Zheng couldn’t help but ask.
“The ignorant fear nothing. They have no idea how dangerous the Kapok Valley Treasure Land is. Of course, they’re not afraid,” Wenren Jun replied with mockery.
“But, Big Brother… what if, just if, they actually come back alive?” Wenren Li voiced his concern.
“Yes… wouldn’t that mean our plan fails?” Wenren Lian added worriedly.
“With their cultivation level? The odds of that happening are slimmer than a rooster laying eggs. But even if, by some miracle, they return alive, it would mean they’ve acquired Golden Fate Blossom seeds. That benefits us anyway. As for using them as stand-ins for our granddaughters, we’ll simply force them to enter again, and again, until they die.”
A cold, sinister smile spread across Wenren Jun’s face.
