Volume 10, Chapter 667 – Kill Them All
“Hey, hey, hey, don’t you slander me with baseless accusations! This fairy… uh… this Immortal Elder is both beautiful and kindhearted. How could I possibly be the same as those vermin of the Immortal Alliance?”
Qi Huang immediately grew agitated. She ticked her slender jade fingers one by one and said: “First, this Immortal Elder can guarantee your safety. Can the Immortal Alliance do that? Second, this Immortal Elder only wants the Golden Fate Blossom seeds, so anything else you find in Kapok Valley, whether heavenly treasures or rare herbs, will all belong to you. Would the Immortal Alliance ever be so generous?”
“Yes, yes! Little junior sister is at most a merchant, while the Immortal Alliance is just a slavemaster.”
Ruan Lingyu immediately chimed in. Though she didn’t really understand Qi Huang’s full intentions, blindly supporting her was the right choice.
“Exactly! That’s why I dare to say I’m here to save you. For you, this is nothing but a sure profit without any loss!”
Qi Huang seized the chance to coax her further.
“Hehe…”
Tang Yuning gave a faint smile, clearly not believing Qi Huang had such ability. After a moment’s thought, she asked: “What if I don’t agree?”
“Don’t agree? Fine, then find your own way to escape. I won’t care about you.”
Qi Huang spoke with a touch of intimidation. It wasn’t that she was heartless, only that she wanted to smoothly enter Kapok Valley. If she helped this woman escape too soon and the Immortal Alliance discovered it, then the subsequent plan would be impossible to carry out.
Tang Yuning bit her pale lips, and after a long pause finally said: “Can I discuss it with the others?”
“Others? Who else could you discuss with here?”
Qi Huang asked curiously.
“You don’t know. It wasn’t only me who was captured. Xue Jing and Fan E were also taken.”
Tang Yuning revealed the situation.
“What? They were captured too? You really are unfortunate sisters.”
Qi Huang nearly burst out laughing.
“You’re still laughing? Do you have no sense of sympathy at all?”
Tang Yuning was furious.
“All right, go and bring them here to discuss. But don’t speak about this outside. Beware of eavesdroppers.”
Qi Huang coughed lightly and reminded her.
Tang Yuning glared at Qi Huang before dragging her weary steps out the door.
“You plan to use all three of them as bait?”
Cheng Hongling asked.
“Not just them. I want every woman in this courtyard to be my bait.”
Qi Huang corrected her, then sneered: “I have strength, what I lack is bait. Since the Immortal Alliance has so thoughtfully gathered so many for me, wouldn’t it be a shame not to make use of them?”
“Junior sister is wise!”

The senior sisters all praised her.
“The premise is that you must guarantee their safety. If even one of them suffers an accident, then you really are no different from those people of the Immortal Alliance.”
Cheng Hongling warned sternly.
“Rest assured. I don’t believe there is any fiend in Kapok Valley stronger than me.”
Qi Huang spoke with confidence, then added: “Besides, if I let them go early and the Immortal Alliance found out, our plan would collapse. By then, we’d have no choice but to storm Kapok Valley by force. If that happens, don’t even dream of calmly searching for the Golden Fate Blossom seeds, just prepare to be hunted down by the Immortal Alliance.”
“Junior sister makes sense.”
Ruan Lingyu immediately flattered her without thinking.
“Bootlicker!”
Su Qingying couldn’t hold back her sharp tongue.
“I’m willing. So what? Jealous?”
Ruan Lingyu retorted.
“As if! Who would be jealous of you?”
Su Qingying rolled her beautiful eyes.
Not long after, Tang Yuning returned with two more companions, noble and graceful Xue Jing, and gentle, mature Fan E.
They too bore some wounds, but far fewer than Tang Yuning’s.
“Why are their injuries lighter than yours?”
Qi Huang asked curiously.
“Hmph, two cowards.”
Tang Yuning said with disdain.
“It’s like this. At first, we tried to escape as well, but aside from a beating, it was useless. So we stopped trying. But she wouldn’t give up, shouting and struggling every day, so she was beaten often.”
Xue Jing explained.
“So that’s it. Truly stubborn to the core.”
Qi Huang suddenly understood.
“Stubborn? This is called perseverance! Should we collapse just because of a little difficulty, like them lying flat and doing nothing?”
Tang Yuning argued righteously.
“Stubbornness and perseverance aren’t mutually exclusive.”

Qi Huang teased, then turned to the other two beauties: “Introduce yourselves. I don’t believe you used your real identities in the Honghua Sect.”
“My name isn’t Xue Jing. I’m Jin Xue, fourth princess of the Taiping Kingdom of the Central Continent, and the foremost Immortal Seed of the foremost Immortal Sect, the Dayan Sect.”
“Xue Jing” introduced herself first.
“I’m not called Fan E either. I am Ouyang Yi, eldest princess of the Dayu Kingdom of the Central Continent.”
“Fan E” followed immediately.
“They’re both princesses?”
Shen Yuan was stunned.
“Heh, Lü Yi was a descendant of an immortal. Even concubines wouldn’t be chosen carelessly.”
Jin Xue gave a self-deprecating smile.
“Then how were you captured?”
Qi Huang asked in curiosity.
“I was taken from the palace while sleeping.”
“I was captured while strolling through the imperial capital.”
The two answered one after another.
“What? Even the royal palace was breached? It seems the Immortal Alliance is desperate for bait.”
Qi Huang exclaimed.
“Of course. Who would willingly enter Kapok Valley to die? Without this, how could they find enough bait?”
Jin Xue explained.
“Then do you want to live and return home?”
Qi Huang asked.
“Of course! Who would want to die?”
Jin Xue immediately replied, with Ouyang Yi nodding in agreement.
“In that case, don’t be the Immortal Alliance’s bait. Be mine instead.”
Qi Huang seized the opportunity.
“Be your bait? What do you mean?”
Jin Xue frowned slightly.
Qi Huang repeated what she had told Tang Yuning.

“You’re sure you can guarantee our safety?”
Jin Xue asked after a moment’s thought.
“I could handle the Immortal Stele. Why would I fear a mere Kapok Valley? And besides, what choice do you have other than trusting me?”
Qi Huang countered.
“All right, I believe you. I’ll go with you into Kapok Valley.”
Jin Xue agreed without hesitation.
“Me too.”
Ouyang Yi said, knowing that their only hope lay in Qi Huang’s miracle.
“Truthfully, I’d prefer to let you go early. But that would surely alert the Immortal Alliance. Then entering Kapok Valley openly would be impossible. I hope you understand.”
Qi Huang explained after a pause.
“Yes, since you’ve been to Huangtian County, you know how badly we need the Golden Fate Blossom seeds. This time, we must succeed.”
Ruan Lingyu added.
“We understand! We understand!”
Jin Xue and Ouyang Yi nodded repeatedly.
Tang Yuning also softened, looking at Qi Huang with new gentleness.
“All right, go back now. Eat, drink, don’t cause unnecessary trouble. I promise that once we leave Kapok Valley, you can return home.”
Qi Huang reassured them.
The three nodded obediently and left, glancing back again and again. Clearly, they now regarded Qi Huang as their pillar of support.
Qi Huang then pulled out the Shadow-Retaining Mirror, using it to monitor the Immortal Alliance’s Elder Zheng Chi.
“What are you watching him for?”
Cheng Hongling asked curiously.
“I need to see if Wenren Jun’s schemes will succeed.”
Qi Huang explained.
The sisters caught on, and they too stared curiously at the mirror.
Zheng Chi was handling official matters, and only after some time did he summon the disciple who had registered Cheng Hongling and the others.
“Master, do you have orders?”

The disciple bowed respectfully.
“Fu Xin, how many bait do we have in total now?”
Zheng Chi asked.
“Reporting to Master, twenty-two in total.”
The disciple named Fu Xin answered.
“Twenty-two? Too few. How many have been stimulated with Pink Bamboo Water?”
Zheng Chi pressed.
“One-fifth of them.”
Fu Xin answered cautiously.
“Not only too few, but poor in quality as well. How many Lightning Hawks could that attract?”
Zheng Chi’s face darkened.
“Should we send them some Pink Bamboo Water?”
Fu Xin suggested.
“Oh? And you’ll pay for it? They’re just bait, and you’d treat them like your parents?”
Zheng Chi barked.
Fu Xin froze in terror, too frightened to respond.
“Forget it. Time is short. Three days from now we set out for Kapok Valley. At worst, we’ll just kill them and use their corpses as bait. That will still attract the Lightning Hawks.”
Zheng Chi added coldly.
“Ah?”
Fu Xin’s face turned pale.
“What? Never fished before? If you put a whole earthworm on the hook, it’s wasteful, and the fish may not bite. But cut it into pieces and it works better. The blood and guts exposed make the smell stronger.”
Zheng Chi’s expression was chilling.
“Yes, yes, Master is wise.”
Fu Xin wiped sweat from his brow, then nervously asked: “Then… who shall we kill? Those captured ones? After all, letting them live and escape could bring disaster later.”
“Kill them all. The rest won’t walk out of Kapok Valley alive anyway. Whether early or late, it makes no difference. Let this Elder send them on their way sooner.”
Zheng Chi gave his cold-blooded order.
