Volume 10, Chapter 705 – He’s Clearly Just a Cultivation Squatter (Part 4)
Hu Bing’s face instantly turned ashen. He never dreamed that these unfilial disciples would push him onto the fire like this. Before so many eyes, if he refused, he would certainly be accused by some petty men of being narrow-minded. Yet if he agreed, where would his dignity go?
Min Jun and the others saw the expression on Hu Bing’s face and couldn’t help but reveal a trace of smug smiles.
But unfortunately for them, Hu Bing had always been the kind of man who feared neither Heaven nor Earth. After only hesitating for a moment, he spoke: “I appreciate that you all think highly of me. But I, Hu Bing, am now a cripple. I truly have no ability to teach you anything. Please go seek another master.”
“That’s exactly why you should accept disciples. We can take care of you.”
Min Jun said hypocritically.
“No need for Senior Brother Min to trouble himself, we will take care of Master.”
At this moment, a slightly plump male disciple spoke. He was one of the few who had never abandoned Hu Bing. His name was Luo Ming.
“With your pitifully low talent, you think you can care for Master and inherit his teachings? Are you trying to cut off Master’s lineage?”
Liu Shou mocked.
“What did you say?”
Luo Ming immediately flared up.
“Not convinced? Want to try me?”
Liu Shou provoked. Relying on his stronger talent, he had always enjoyed bullying the weak.
“Today is Master’s birthday. I won’t lower myself to brawling with the likes of you.”
Luo Ming knew when to restrain himself, so he refused to fight.
“Is it that you don’t want to, or that you don’t dare?”
Disdain spread across Liu Shou’s face, and he arrogantly raised his right hand, sticking out his middle finger toward Luo Ming.
“You dare insult me?”
Luo Ming roared in fury.

“Don’t misunderstand. What I mean is, testing strength doesn’t always require a fight. If you can move this arm of mine even half an inch, I’ll put away my middle finger and get lost. If not, every time I see you, I’ll flip you off again.”
Liu Shou goaded him again.
“I think that’s fine. A contest of words and gestures won’t disrupt Master’s sixtieth birthday. Everyone can just watch and be entertained.”
Min Jun fanned the flames.
“Fine! As you wish.”
Luo Ming, blinded by anger, agreed without hesitation.
The onlookers craned their necks. Since they had nothing else to do, such amusement was more than welcome.
Qi Huang and Huang Tian remained silent. Since this contest didn’t require violence, they had no reason to stop it.
Hu Bing knew each disciple’s strength well. He understood the great gap between the two, but under such circumstances, he could not intervene on Luo Ming’s behalf.
Luo Ming stepped forward, hooked his middle finger against Liu Shou’s, and yanked hard to the side. Unfortunately, no matter how much strength he exerted, his opponent’s arm did not budge.
Qi Huang was not surprised at all. Liu Shou’s strength had already reached the early Body-Refining Realm, while Luo Ming was only at Spirit Gathering Realm. The difference between them was an entire major realm. To move him was impossible.
“You can’t even move one of my fingers. With what will you inherit Master’s teachings? And you still have the face to stay in the Honghua Sect?”
Liu Shou shook his head in contempt.
“Senior Brother Liu, you don’t understand. If he doesn’t remain in the Honghua Sect, where else could he go? Only because Master has a soft heart does he keep him. With that talent, who else would want him? And yet some still call them filial!”
Min Jun added fuel to the fire.
“Yes, he opposed us entering the sect only because he feared losing favor when we returned. Such petty scheming, even a three-year-old child could see through.”
Another traitor piled on.
Luo Ming’s face turned extremely ugly. Abandoning any pretense of fairness, he used both hands, clutching Liu Shou’s fist and tugging with all his might. Even with all his strength, the result was the same, his opponent’s arm did not move at all.

“What a clown!”
Liu Shou sneered, then turned to the other two disciples who had stayed behind with Hu Bing. “Why don’t you two come at me together? I’m in a hurry.”
Fear flickered across their faces. Neither dared step forward.
“Enough? If you’re done, get out of my sight. You disgust me.”
Liu Shou impatiently flicked his arm, tossing the sweat-soaked Luo Ming aside like trash.
“Steward Hu, why don’t you take them back as disciples? With the talents of your current disciples, I fear they’ll hardly be able to inherit your teachings.”
“Yes, your path of cultivation is essentially over. You really should take a few promising disciples to carry on your legacy. They were originally your students anyway. That would save much trouble.”
“They are gifted. Not only can they carry your teachings forward, but they can also tend to your daily life. Why not?”
Persuasive voices rose one after another.
Steward Hu’s face was a sheet of iron. He had never thought his sixtieth birthday celebration would turn into a forced confrontation.
“Everyone, the Honghua Sect is one of the prominent sects of the Western Radiance Dynasty. How can it be treated like an outhouse, with people coming and going as they please? Show some backbone, will you?”
Huang Tian sighed at their lack of dignity.
“Heh, and what else do you have besides that mouth? In the cultivation world, talent speaks, strength rules. Even if you had a hundred mouths, you’d still be a useless waste!”
Liu Shou cursed without the slightest decorum.
“Is that so?”
Huang Tian gave a noncommittal smile, then stepped forward. “Can I try?”
“Sure! Since you’re eager to lose face, I’ll oblige.”
Liu Shou stretched out his arm, about to raise his middle finger, but then withdrew it and instead raised his pinky. “A failure who couldn’t even reach the Spirit Gathering Realm isn’t worthy of my middle finger. A pinky is more than enough.”

“Everyone, step back. Be careful not to get hurt.”
Huang Tian’s expression grew serious as he warned the bystanders.
The crowd looked doubtful, but still took a few symbolic steps back. Only Hu Bing’s former disciples, who had severed ties, didn’t bother. They were certain Huang Tian could not stir up any storm.
“Heh, a Body-Refining Realm trash isn’t even worthy of making me lift a hand.”
Huang Tian mockingly retorted.
“You all hear that? He actually said Body-Refining is trash? I must demand an explanation!”
Shen Yuan slapped the table and stood up, ready to confront Huang Tian. Others in the crowd shared her sentiment.
But Huang Tian gave them no chance to trouble him. His Divine Sense, belonging to the Incarnation Realm, surged forth like an invisible torrent and crashed into Liu Shou.
Completely unguarded, Liu Shou staggered as if struck by a raging bull, stumbling back several steps before toppling onto two unlucky “traitors”, sending all three sprawling on the ground.
The courtyard instantly fell into silence, broken only by their groans.
“What… what was that? Was it a staged fall?”
Shen Yuan asked, dumbfounded.
Most of the crowd wore the same expression. The majority were below Unity Realm, incapable of understanding what had happened.
The few high-ranking cultivators present had not extended their Divine Sense, so they too were confused.
Liu Shou finally struggled to his feet, looking around in bewilderment. “What happened?”
“Senior Brother Liu, are you pulling a stunt? He hadn’t even made a move, why did you topple over?”
Min Jun asked with irritation. He had barely dodged aside in time, or he too would have been dragged down.
“Yeah, that flop looked so fake. You need more practice.”

“Senior Brother Liu, you’re at Body-Refining Realm. You’re no decrepit old man. Did you really need to fall like that?”
The two who had been dragged down grumbled.
“Fake fall my ass! If I wanted to scam someone, I’d target the powerful, not a pauper like him!”
Liu Shou shouted in humiliation and rage.
“Fake, is it?”
Huang Tian smiled brightly. His Divine Sense surged out again, enveloping all the traitors and ruthlessly pressing down.
Thud! Thud!
Their knees gave out. Every one of them collapsed to the ground, faces filled with shock.
“Divine Sense! It’s Divine Sense suppression! My heavens, what did I just witness?”
The astonished cries of the high-ranked cultivators echoed through the courtyard.
“Divine Sense suppression? Isn’t that something only the Incarnation Realm can do?”
“Exactly. But he’s clearly just a failed cultivation squatter! How is this possible?”
“Even if he had succeeded at Spirit-Gathering, in just seven or eight years, there’s no way he could have grown so strong!”
Disciples all around wore expressions of disbelief.
“Senior Sister, why are you frozen? Weren’t you going to demand an explanation from him? Or have you changed your mind?”
Qi Huang teased Shen Yuan beside him.
“He’s right. Body-Refining Realm truly is trash.”
Shen Yuan’s face flushed with embarrassment, and she quietly sat back down.
