Volume 10, Chapter 714 – The Feminization Deepens Again
Tu Wen’s mind couldn’t quite keep up. If the zombie before him truly possessed strength at the Heavenly Demon Realm, then why had she hidden her power in the earlier battles?
‘If she’s been suppressing her strength all this time, then just how strong is she really? And for what purpose?’
Tu Wen felt an ominous premonition but didn’t know how to put it into words. He could only steel himself inwardly and stay alert.
Next, Quan Fengtian led Lu Yao and her servant toward the place where the foreign Heavenly Dao’s remnant body was kept. Tu Wen remained uneasy, so he rallied Elder Zhuang and the others to follow closely behind, ready to act should anything happen.
Although Qi Huang was only a fragment of consciousness, she was so overwhelmed with excitement that she could hardly breathe. If nothing went wrong, she was about to obtain the method she had long dreamed of: the way to wield assimilation power.
The Immortal Alliance’s upper echelons escorted Lu Yao and her servant into a heavily guarded palace and instructed disciples to push open its doors.
Qi Huang’s anticipation soared to its peak. She had never personally laid eyes upon the foreign Heavenly Dao’s remnant body before.
Inside the grand hall, a crystalline “staff” that glowed like pure white jade floated in mid-air, wrapped within a protective shroud of Divine Sense.
Qi Huang focused carefully.
It was not some staff at all, it was a finger!
Though the finger stretched three zhang long, it was not in the least grotesque. Its lines were slender, its skin delicate and poreless. Faint pink vessels ran beneath its surface, and its long nail was as thin as cicada wings, glowing with a healthy pink. Without a doubt, it belonged to a woman.
‘So this is the remnant of that foreign Heavenly Dao?’
Qi Huang could barely contain her ecstasy.
“As a zombie, I don’t need to teach you how to read memories, do I? Go now and drink her blood. Remember my words, make sure to look as far back as possible into her memories. Find out the locations of each piece of the remnant body that fell.”
Quan Fengtian ordered firmly.
“Alright!”
Lu Yao responded meekly and moved forward.
“Remember, no tricks. Otherwise, I guarantee that neither of you abominations will live to see tomorrow’s sun.”

Quan Fengtian, still distrustful, added one last warning.
Lu Yao said nothing, striding directly toward the foreign Heavenly Dao’s remnant. Since they had already found it, there was no need for her to keep up her pretense.
She drew close. Her fangs glinted into view, and she opened her small mouth, preparing to bite down.
“Wait!”
Just then, Tu Wen abruptly called out to stop her.
Qi Huang was startled, her consciousness suddenly clouded. By the time she regained clarity, she was already inside the cave where Cheng Ling was.
Clearly, Cheng Ling had awoken from her “dream”.
‘Why now of all times? She could’ve woken sooner or later, but she had to wake at the most crucial moment. Isn’t this just tormenting me?’
Qi Huang fumed with resentment. If not for still being within the dreamscape, she would have summoned Zhen Feiyan’s “pet dog” and given it a few resounding slaps just to vent.
‘No, wait! I’m still in Cheng Ling’s dream, aren’t I? That means there’s still a chance to see Lu Yao’s memories!’
Quickly catching herself, Qi Huang calmed down and consoled herself.
Time in the dream continued to slip away, day by day. The red blood-tear stain on Cheng Ling’s borrowed face spread faster and faster, now covering nearly three-quarters of it. The color had grown pale, and at this rate it would soon completely merge with the skin.
Qi Huang was not surprised. When she had first picked up that human skin mask, there had been no trace of discoloration left. Clearly, the blood-tear had long since fully dissolved into the flesh. Otherwise, she would never have used such a vile thing to disguise herself as a girl.
No one knew how much time had passed before Qi Huang finally awoke from the dream. Staring around at her familiar room, she couldn’t say why, but her heart felt as though ages had passed. Oddly enough, her regret was not as strong as before.
“Qi Huang! Qi Huang! Let me out! Let me out!”
Just then, Qi Huang faintly heard someone calling her, sounding suspiciously like her true body.
She sat upright and instinctively sent out a mental transmission: “Was that you calling me just now?”
“No.”

Cheng Hongling’s curt reply came.
‘Then who was it? Could it have been a hallucination?’
Puzzled and unsettled, Qi Huang could only rise to wash up.
Meanwhile, within Cheng Hongling’s Sea of Consciousness, the bound Cheng Ling’s lips curled faintly, murmuring to herself: “Sunlight… I haven’t seen it in so long. How I long for it…”
Back in the waking world, Qi Huang was in the middle of washing her face when the anxious voice of the Essence Soul rang out: “Big Brother, hurry, come inside!”
Calmly, Qi Huang dried her face before sending her Life Soul into the Sea of Consciousness.
“What’s the matter?” Qi Huang asked with some impatience.
“Look!”
Without another word, the Essence Soul Huang Jing yanked down his trousers and, despair on his face, pointed between his legs.
Qi Huang followed his gaze. The male traits had shrunk to the size of a soybean, the surrounding skin resembling her own. At a glance, it looked as though some girl’s private parts had sprouted a lump. It could hardly be called a male feature any longer.
“What’s wrong? Tiny things can be cute too.”
Qi Huang answered reflexively.
“What did you just say?”
Huang Jing’s expression twisted in disbelief.
“I said it’s nothing to fuss over. Why are you panicking?”
Qi Huang’s tone grew even more impatient.
“It’s disappearing! How can that be nothing? Do you really want to become a woman through and through?”
Huang Jing warned gravely.

“Let me think about it.”
Qi Huang’s face betrayed hesitation.
“Think about what?”
Huang Jing blinked, not yet catching on.
“Think about whether to be a man or a woman!”
The words slipped out of Qi Huang’s mouth, each one raw instinct.
“What?!”
Huang Jing’s expression changed drastically, wariness flooding his features. Even a fool could tell something was deeply wrong with their true body.
“Giggle, look at her. She’s almost completely assimilated!”
“Isn’t that exactly what we expected? Big Sister already said assimilation can’t be reversed.”
“Wonderful. Soon we’ll be free.”
On the outside, Qi Huang noticed nothing amiss. She simply withdrew from the Sea of Consciousness and sat back down at her dressing table to examine herself.
In the mirror, her face was exquisitely beautiful, flawless even without makeup. Yet something within her felt incomplete. She finally picked up her powder box, brushing on a light blush and faint eye shadow.
The more she looked, the more she liked it. She reached for a rouge paper to tint her lips, but when it touched her mouth, she hesitated and set it down again. Something about it felt wrong. Wasn’t this too feminine? She had once been a man.
‘Once a man, but now a woman. At least, my body is truly and completely that of a woman. So why cling to the past? Isn’t being a girl fine too? After all, I’ve lived as one for years already.’
Another voice inside her whispered.
The two voices in her mind rose and clashed, until pain stabbed through her skull. Afraid to think further, she hastily dropped the rouge paper and fled the bedroom.
She stepped into the main hall and nearly collided with her mother.

Jiang Linian blinked in surprise at her daughter, then teased: “My daughter is so beautiful! What’s the occasion today, that you even put on makeup? You always liked going barefaced before.”
“N-no reason.”
Qi Huang answered awkwardly.
“Makeup, you say?”
Just then, Cheng Hongling stepped out from her room.
Guiltily, Qi Huang quickly turned her face away.
Jiang Linian, oblivious to the severity of the situation, gave Qi Huang a playful look.
“Turn your head,” Cheng Hongling commanded, brows furrowing as she walked over with authority.
Qi Huang had no choice but to turn her head.
“Heh, quite pretty indeed. With makeup, you look even more feminine than I do.”
Cheng Hongling scrutinized the doppelgänger and mocked.
“No way…”
Qi Huang fidgeted with her sleeves shyly.
“Come with me.”
Cheng Hongling said sharply, then turned back into her room.
Though fearful, Qi Huang dared not disobey and followed nervously.
Cheng Hongling shut the door, then sternly interrogated: “Do you still know who you are?”
