Volume 12, Chapter 784 – I Will Gather Three Immortal Steles to Suppress Her (Part 1)
Qi Huang’s Boundless Demonic Hair shot out like a venomous snake flicking its tongue; with each extension and retraction it had already pierced through the Qi seas of the Lü family members. The speed was so fast that even experts of the Heavenly Tribulation Realm couldn’t evade it, let alone those pretenders who only wore borrowed power.
“Ah! Help! It hurts!”
The True Qi in the Lü family’s Qi seas leaked out wildly; one by one they screamed in pain, rolling on the ground.
“Go back and tell Lü Dao: if you want his son and grandson to live, compensate Shuiyu Valley for your losses first.”
Qi Huang made her demand, then warned, “Secondly, I, the alliance leader, will come to the Lü residence on the first day of next month to pull out that Immortal Stele. If he opens his doors like a whore and lets me do as I please, the Lü family might yet secure their lives; but if anyone dares to stop me, whoever blocks me dies. Remember that?”
When Qi Huang finished speaking, her divine sense swept outward, and those Lü family fools were tossed out like garbage, vanishing from everyone’s sight.
“May the Grand Elder’s might be praised!”
The female disciples of Shuiyu Valley immediately stopped crying and smiled.
“Sisters, remember this: as long as I Qi Huang stand here, no one can bully Shuiyu Valley, understand?”
Qi Huang took the opportunity to deliver a victory speech.
Mu Ruoyi’s beautiful eyes glistened at these words; if Qi Huang had been male, Mu Ruoyi would have likely thrown herself into her arms already.
News reached Lü Dao quickly. He flew into a fury; several family members came running.
“That little bitch is outrageous! She even dared harm people of the Lü family!”
Lü Yi’s aunt, Lü Fei, raged furiously.
“The Lü family? She even dared to kill people from Zhizun Peak and Jingtian Sect; we’re nothing compared to them. Those fools deserved it. I told them to lower their stance and negotiate with that little demoness, and they did the opposite and threatened her outright. Isn’t that asking for death?”
Lü Dao lamented their lack of sense.
“Hmph! Those men are so used to posturing that they’ve lost even basic sense.”
Lü Yi’s uncle sneered.
“Wuwuwu, father-in-law, what are we going to do? My husband and son are still in her hands!”
Lü Yi’s mother, Madam Zhuo, sobbed.
“Isn’t she demanding compensation? I’ll send people to deliver it another day. As long as my son and grandson are rescued, losing some gold and silver is no big deal.”
Lü Dao drew a deep breath.
“Father, that little demoness crippled my elder brother and nephew. Are we supposed to swallow our anger forever?”

Lü Fei asked, unwilling to accept it.
“Don’t rush. As the saying goes, a gentleman’s revenge can wait ten years. First buy back your elder brother and the others.”
Lü Dao soothed.
Qi Huang handled alliance affairs while waiting for the first day of the eighth month to arrive.
A few days later at noon, the Lü family came again. This time their attitude was much improved, and being sensible enough, they even brought several large chests of gold and silver to compensate Shuiyu Valley.
“Not bad, quite sensible! You may leave now.”
Qi Huang waved her small hand and issued the order to send them off.
“And what about the master and the young master?”
The leading servant of the Lü family asked, puzzled.
“I only agreed to not kill them temporarily; I never said I’d release them immediately.”
Qi Huang said with a teasing tone.
“You…”
The servant was both shocked and angry.
“If you don’t want to become a cripple, get out of here. Tell your master: on the first day of next month I’ll come to pull out the Lü family’s Immortal Stele. If he lets me come and go freely, I might consider releasing his son and grandson.”
Qi Huang proposed a solution.
The servants had no choice but to stand awkwardly; after all, they had a task: if they didn’t bring the master and young master back, they’d be in deep trouble.
“Junior Sister Qi Huang, since the compensation’s been received, why not release that father and son? Keeping them here would require someone to attend to them.”
At that moment Mu Ruoyi stepped forward and spoke in a conciliatory tone.
“What? You don’t want to kill them to avenge yourselves?”

Qi Huang asked curiously.
Mu Ruoyi’s pretty face showed a struggle; after a moment she said, “I want to, but for some reason after torturing them for a while I suddenly couldn’t bring myself to finish them. Anyway they’re already cripples, let them go.”
“You’re still too kind.”
Qi Huang sighed; she had expected this.
“Yes, maybe we were simply not born to be villains.”
Mu Ruoyi gave a self-mocking smile.
“Alright then. Since that’s the case, give them a chance to live. Whether they cherish it or not is up to their fate.”
Qi Huang spoke enigmatically.
“What kind of chance?”
Mu Ruoyi asked, puzzled.
“Nothing. You’ll know when the time comes. If you want to release them, then release them.”
Qi Huang kept her mystery.
Mu Ruoyi frowned but didn’t press further. Soon she ordered the servants to bring Lü Yi and his father out.
The father and son had their Qi seas destroyed; after being tormented by Shuiyu Valley for half a month, they no longer resembled either living people or ghosts.
The Lü family’s servants rejoiced and hurriedly helped them away.
Seven or eight days later the Lü father and son were taken back home.
Lü Dao looked at his son’s and grandson’s miserable condition, trembling with rage; he immediately gathered some influential family members to discuss countermeasures.
“That little demoness not only crippled my son and grandson but also threatened to pull out the Lü family’s Immortal Stele. Speak up, how shall we take revenge?”
Lü Dao solicited opinions.
“Elder brother, are you sure our current Immortal Stele is stronger than Huarong Sect’s?”

Younger cousin Lü Ze asked uneasily. Although he coveted the clan leader position, he understood the need for unity. Now that the little demoness vowed to pull out the stele, he wouldn’t dare keep scheming.
“Yes. Grandfather, that little demoness could kill the Lu Alliance Leader; if it’s down to cultivation alone, none of us combined could match her.”
Lü Ze’s grandson Lü Jun tried to persuade.
“Although our Lü family’s stele is a grade higher than Huarong Sect’s, six years ago we expended too much suppressing that little demoness and fell into dormancy. It hasn’t returned to its peak and can’t launch active attacks. Which is stronger is hard to say.”
Lü Dao explained truthfully.
“Then what do we do? If our stele loses, won’t we all become fish on a chopping board?”
Madam Zhuo panicked.
“The reason that woman hated our stele so much is, one, because of Shuiyu Valley, and two, because your elder brother engraved her name on it. Why don’t we erase her name? Maybe that would give us a chance.”
Lü Jun offered his opinion.
“Impossible! That name was engraved by my own hand. No one may erase it. Even if Cheng Hongling and Qi Huang die, they’re still ghosts of our Lü family.”
Lü Yi in the corner rejected angrily. He knew if such a thing happened, he would become a laughingstock across the cultivation world.
“Elder brother, is it worth risking the entire family for your pitiful pride?”
Lü Jun questioned; in the cultivation world the strong rule, and now that Elder Brother was crippled, Lü Jun would show no mercy.
“You spineless coward! My grandfather just said our stele might not be weaker than Huarong’s. How do you know we’ll definitely lose?”
Lü Yi insulted without restraint.
“So what? Are you trying to gamble the lives of our whole clan?”
Lü Jun held back his anger and retorted.
“Lü Jun, who told you we only have one stele to rely on? That little demoness made countless enemies; people who want her dead are too many to count.”
Lü Dao reminded them.
“Brother means…”
Lü Ze looked thoughtful.
“Don’t forget: that little demoness’s extermination of the Immortal Alliance this time angered many, including Zhizun Peak and Jingtian Sect.”
Rеad on КαtRеαԁiոɡСafe
Lü Dao reminded them.
“Indeed. If we could get their support, the situation might improve, though ordinary people play little role in stele confrontations.”
Lü Ze frowned.
“Ordinary people? Don’t forget Zhizun Peak and Jingtian Sect are also immortal clans. If I can have my name engraved on their steles as well, that would be like having three steles. I don’t believe we couldn’t then suppress that little demoness.”
Lü Dao smiled smugly.
“Father is wise! Then Huarong Sect’s stele would be nothing. Revenge would be easy.”
Lü Gao grew excited.
“But elder brother, would they really let you engrave your name?”
Lü Ze asked anxiously.
“Don’t worry. They have experts who died at Qi Huang’s hands; of course they’d want revenge.”
Lü Dao explained.
“Yes. They’re not fools. That little demoness is too strong. Only by joining forces with us would they have a chance at vengeance.”
Lü Gao agreed.
“The plan isn’t bad, but haven’t you forgotten something? That little demoness seems able to mask or nullify Immortal Might.”
Lü Ze warned.
“Mask Immortal Might? I don’t believe there’s a way to do that in this world. The reason she escaped is surely because Zhizun Peak’s stele had a problem. To give an example: if our Lü family’s stele had some problem, would you casually tell others?”
Lü Dao boldly speculated.
Lü Ze opened his mouth but found no counterargument.
“Let’s do it then. Regardless of the true situation, allying with those two families to deal with that little demoness is our best… and only option… unless anyone has a better plan.”
Lü Dao slammed the table to finalize the plan.
They whispered among themselves, then one by one supported the idea.
The next morning Lü Dao set off for Zhizun Peak; this trip he must persuade Zhizun Peak and Jingtian Sect, so as to gather three Immortal Steles to suppress Qi Huang.
