Volume 13, Chapter 813 – Teleportation Gate

Although Qi Huang’s hair appeared delicate and fragile, it was in fact unimaginably sharp. With hardly any effort, it shaved down slices of the spatial barrier piece by piece, as easily as slicing tofu with a blade.

Everyone from Cangmang Planet widened their eyes in astonishment at the sight, especially Zhao Jian. As someone who had just ascended, he naturally understood how indestructible the spatial barrier was supposed to be.

While expanding the spatial barrier, Qi Huang simultaneously scanned the nearby planets with her divine sense. Her current divine sense had already reached the level of a Master-grade Immortal, allowing her to probe an area more than ten times larger than before.

“What is that?”

At the very edge of her divine sense’s range, Qi Huang suddenly discovered a towering stone gate standing alone in the void. The space within it had collapsed, forming a vortex.

“A… a teleportation gate?!”

Qi Huang could hardly believe what she was seeing. She was overwhelmed with excitement. This was like having a pillow handed to her when she was already falling asleep! Of course, that was assuming the teleportation gate was functional.

She immediately shared this good news with Cheng Hongling, her tone filled with elation.

“How do you know that’s a teleportation gate?” Cheng Hongling asked first.

“I once saw something like this in the Immortal Realm through Lu Yao’s memories. There’s no mistake, this is definitely a teleportation gate.”

Qi Huang explained.

“Alright, let’s assume it is a teleportation gate. But can it still be used? That’s the first point,” Cheng Hongling said, raising one slender finger, and then lifted a second one. “Second, do you know how far the other side of the gate is? Is it a hundred miles away? Ten? Or maybe just one? And do you know what’s on the other side? Is it a lower world, a cultivation world, or the Immortal Realm? In short, unless the other side is far enough, it won’t mean anything to us.”

“True, but have you thought about this: if the gate is intact, we could study it, maybe even learn to control it. Wouldn’t that let us go wherever we want?”

Qi Huang boldly voiced her plan.

Cheng Hongling suddenly realized the potential and nodded. “If we could control it, that would be the best outcome.”

“I’ll use my divine sense to bring it over right now.”

Qi Huang was already impatient.

“Wait a second. Don’t you think it’s strange? How could a teleportation gate exist in a low-grade world? That thing involves spatial laws, even the cultivation realms barely have such things.”

Cheng Hongling quickly stopped her.

Qi Huang thought for a moment, then said, “Alright, I’ll monitor it for a while first before deciding.”

“That’s for the best,” Cheng Hongling agreed.

Qi Huang snapped out of her thoughts and saw Zhao Jian floating nearby, looking completely disheartened. He seemed to want to say something but hesitated.

“Don’t worry. Once we’re done here, we’ll take you to a planet where people actually live.”

Qi Huang comforted him. The man was in mourning, which oddly reminded her of herself.

“Thank you, Immortal Fairy!”

Zhao Jian instantly perked up, full of life again.

Qi Huang turned back toward the spatial rift and shouted, “Everyone disperse.”

The bystanders of Cangmang Planet didn’t dare go against her will. They quickly scattered like birds and beasts, chattering excitedly about what they had just witnessed.

Zhao Jian’s family members were reluctant to leave, but they couldn’t stay on the snow mountain forever, so they departed reluctantly.

“Zhao Jian, with your physique, you can’t stay out here for long. I’ll keep you in my spatial ring. There’s food and such inside.”

Qi Huang turned to him. His constant floating nearby was really an eyesore.

“Spatial ring? What’s that?”

Zhao Jian asked in confusion.

“You can think of it as an independent space for storing things.”

Qi Huang explained casually, then swept Zhao Jian into a storage ring.

After that, the two began patiently monitoring the teleportation gate.

Time passed day by day. In the blink of an eye, two months had gone by. The names of Qi Huang and Cheng Hongling had already spread across all of Cangmang Planet, but the area around the teleportation gate remained eerily empty.

Qi Huang was starting to grow impatient. She decided to wait one more month. If nothing changed, she would bring the gate over and study it.

Heaven favors the determined. Three days later, a black figure leapt out of the teleportation gate, it was a Silver Corpse.

“A Silver Corpse? What’s a Silver Corpse doing in a lower world? That thing is equivalent to a cultivator in the Incarnation Realm. Why isn’t it crushing the surrounding space?”

A barrage of questions exploded in Qi Huang’s mind. She focused her divine sense on the figure and discovered that the Silver Corpse was enveloped in massive amounts of Assimilation Qi, forming a domain.

It was precisely because of this Assimilation Domain that the Silver Corpse was able to exist in a lower world.

“I was planning to wait for a rabbit to come to the tree, but a fat sheep walked right in instead.”

Qi Huang trembled with excitement.

“What’s wrong? Are you cold?”

Cheng Hongling asked with concern. She knew her lover had powerful divine sense but only a Divine Realm cultivation. Her physical constitution was far inferior to her own.

“I’m not cold. Guess what I just saw?”

Qi Huang immediately relayed what she had just witnessed, then excitedly added, “If you absorb the Assimilation Qi from it, you should be able to activate an Assimilation Domain too.”

“Isn’t our luck a little too ridiculous?”

Cheng Hongling wasn’t excited. Instead, a trace of worry surfaced on her face. “Keep watching. Let’s see what it’s up to.”

“Alright!”

Qi Huang continued her surveillance.

The Silver Corpse had one hand firmly gripping the teleportation gate’s frame, avoiding being dragged down by Cangmang Planet’s gravitational pull.

Not long after, hundreds of regular zombies jumped out from the teleportation gate one after another. They too grabbed onto the base of the gate as soon as they emerged, avoiding being sucked down by the planet’s gravity. These underlings were only at the early Spirit Gathering Realm, so even without the Assimilation Domain, they could still remain in this lower world.

The Silver Corpse looked down at Cangmang Planet, a greedy expression spreading across its pale face. “This planet has mountains and rivers, forests and lakes. There must be plenty of animals.”

ROAR ROAR ROAR…

The zombie underlings howled like beasts upon hearing that, drool dripping from their mouths, completely inhuman.

“Calm yourselves! Don’t act like starving ghosts!”

The Silver Corpse scolded.

The zombies shuddered and immediately shut their mouths.

“Do you remember why we’re here? Let me repeat it for you fools. I’m looking for a woman with a red teardrop-shaped birthmark on her right cheek. Once we’re on that planet, don’t just eat. Spread out and breed more underlings to gather information. Whoever finds that woman will have an endless supply of fresh blood.”

The Silver Corpse instructed them sternly.

“A woman with a red teardrop-shaped birthmark on her face?”

Qi Huang subconsciously touched her right cheek through her veil, thinking, ‘Is he talking about me?’

“Alright, boys, charge! It’s feeding time!”

The Silver Corpse let go of the gate and hurtled toward Cangmang Planet like a meteor.

ROAR ROAR ROAR…

Over a hundred zombie underlings shrieked in unison and followed suit, plunging toward the planet like a pack of mad beasts.

“What the hell are you all howling about? Dropping from this height, you’ll splatter before you even get to eat.”

Qi Huang muttered in annoyance. She wasn’t really worried about them dying before landing, she was more concerned about losing the lead. After all, it had taken so long to find these ‘living’ things; they had to be questioned before they died.

But her worries turned out to be unnecessary. That Silver Corpse was no fool. Its intelligence was on par with an ordinary person. How could it lead its underlings to their deaths?

She watched as it pulled something from its robes and threw it outward.

The object expanded in the wind, transforming into a giant black parasol.

The zombies grabbed onto the parasol and began descending slowly toward Cangmang Planet.

“No need to go down there. Come taste my fists instead.”

Qi Huang let out a cold laugh. Her divine sense transformed into countless transparent threads that shot into the spatial rift, twining around the hundred-odd zombies.
