Volume 13, Chapter 815 – The Other Side of the Teleportation Gate
The golden zombie leader had no footing to stabilize itself, so it could only hover awkwardly in the void. It swung its right arm forward with all its might, but its razor-sharp claws merely sliced through the air, failing to trigger any spatial ripples.
“With my strength, I can’t even stir up spatial fluctuations? This place is definitely not the low-tier world where Cangmang Planet is located. It must be a cultivation realm.”
The golden zombie leader immediately came to a conclusion.
“My Lord, look over there. It’s a spatial rift,”
the nearby silver zombie reminded.
The golden zombie leader barely managed to steady itself in place. Fixing its gaze ahead, it saw that indeed, dozens of zhang away, a spatial rift floated in the air.
“What in the world is going on?”
The golden zombie leader was utterly perplexed.
“My Lord, could it be that someone ascended from Cangmang Planet and brought our teleportation gate into a cultivation realm?”
the silver zombie speculated.
“Impossible. The teleportation gate is constructed from special materials. No one beneath the Immortal level could even dream of moving it. An ascender from a low-tier world couldn’t even lift a corner fragment.”
The golden zombie leader dismissed the idea outright, then its expression darkened.
“Looks like that idiot Cai Tao really did meet with some mishap. No wonder he hasn’t reported back in so long.”
“You’re actually pretty clever.”
A crisp female voice interrupted just then.
“Who’s there?”
A dozen or so zombies shuddered in fear, snapping their heads in the direction of the voice. A young woman wearing a white veil had appeared out of nowhere. Upon her brow glowed a conspicuous lotus-shaped doppelgänger mark.
Even the golden zombie leader felt a chill run down its spine. It hadn’t noticed her approach at all. Clearly, this woman was no ordinary person.
Qi Huang didn’t bother with idle chatter. From behind her, more than a dozen strands of green-black hair shot out like lightning, instantly binding all the zombies where they floated.

The zombies reflexively struggled, but the strands of hair were both tough and razor-sharp. In no time, their skins were cut open, and the hair continued to slice deeper into their flesh.
“Ahhh!”
The zombies howled in terror and agony. Their screams only stopped once their bodies were cut into chunks. In the end, only the golden zombie leader, stronger than the rest, remained floating in place, struggling frantically.
Not wanting to waste the opportunity, Qi Huang flashed over to the silver zombie’s remains and absorbed all the Assimilation Power lingering on it.
With the power fully absorbed, the burden in Qi Huang’s heart finally lifted. The Assimilation True Qi in her body had just reached the threshold needed to activate the Assimilation Domain. From now on, she and Cheng Hongling could travel wherever they pleased.
“Who are you?! What do you want?!”
The golden zombie leader had struggled fruitlessly for a long while. Now, it could only shout in rage and shame.
Qi Huang sent out a thought. A strand of hair instantly sliced off one of the golden zombie’s arms.
“Ah… spare me, Immortal Fairy…!”
The golden zombie leader howled in horror.
“Answer a few questions. If you cooperate, I might spare your life.”
Qi Huang gave a cold warning, then repeated the questions she had asked Cai Tao previously.
By then, Cheng Hongling had flown over. After listening to the golden zombie’s responses, she said, “This one’s answers match Cai Tao’s word for word. Looks like they were both telling the truth.”
“Shame it still doesn’t know why that demoness named Yang Jie is after me.”
Qi Huang muttered, a bit disappointed.
“Looks like we still need to dig deeper. But I think we should prioritize acquiring the teleportation gate and strengthening ourselves. Diving headfirst into the unknown would just be throwing ourselves into a trap.”
Cheng Hongling offered her suggestion.
“My dear wife is absolutely right.”

Qi Huang agreed readily, then turned back to the golden zombie.
“Do you know how to operate the teleportation gate?”
“I don’t. The gate requires a large amount of golden true qi to activate. Even if I did know how, as a zombie, I couldn’t possibly power it.”
The golden zombie replied awkwardly.
“Then who activated your gate? Don’t tell me you evil things have Immortals or cultivators hiding among you.”
Qi Huang questioned coldly.
“It was Lord Flying Zombie. Though it doesn’t have golden true qi either, talisman papers that store true qi can be bought anywhere.”
The golden zombie explained.
“Excellent. Your answer satisfies me. You may die now.”
With a single thought, Qi Huang’s hair instantly sliced the golden zombie into dozens of chunks. She then absorbed the Assimilation Power it brought with it.
“Now that we know the strongest evil thing on Hongyu Planet is only of the Flying Zombie level, shouldn’t we take the initiative?”
Cheng Hongling asked.
“Of course!”
Qi Huang activated her Assimilation Domain, took Cheng Hongling’s soft, pale hand in hers, and stepped into the teleportation gate first.
A powerful suction pulled them forward. The space around them receded at a dizzying speed, and everything became a blur. Eventually, the motion slowed, and an exit came into view.
The couple leapt out and were immediately greeted by a vast square plaza. Hundreds of evil entities were drilling on the grounds, causing visible waves of Yin energy to swirl in the air. The ground was riddled with pits corroded by the yin aura, and the surrounding buildings had suffered the same fate.
Because six evil entities had been stationed to guard the teleportation gate, Qi Huang and Cheng Hongling were spotted the moment they appeared. But the guards were so stunned by their appearance that they stood there dumbfounded.
“Hello there, zombie brother!”

Qi Huang greeted them politely.
“Living people! They’re alive!”
The zombies finally came to their senses and shouted loudly.
The evil entities training nearby rushed toward the two women at once. Beautiful and youthful females held immense value for them. Whether as food, breeding stock, or sacrificial tools, they were highly prized.
“Time to kill.”
Qi Huang nodded toward Cheng Hongling. The couple immediately began their massacre. Just as Cai Tao had said, the evil entities stationed on Hongyu Planet were pitifully weak. Most were just ordinary wraiths or wandering ghosts. Those stronger than bronze corpses were extremely rare.
Qi Huang thought it through quickly and understood why. There were two reasons. First, how much Assimilation Power could that demoness possibly have? Only low-level evil entities could be sent to low-tier worlds without collapsing space under their presence. Naturally, she could only dispatch beings of this level. Second, Cangmang Planet’s world was just a low-tier world, not worth sending stronger entities.
As Qi Huang pondered, she struck out without mercy. To her, the thousands of evil entities were like ants, she could squash dozens with a wave of her hand. And with Cheng Hongling, at the peak of the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, fighting by her side, they were practically unstoppable.
“You’ve got some nerve! Two low-world wenches daring to trespass in this general’s domain!”
A furious roar echoed across the square. A male zombie clad in armor flew over like a storm. His huge frame created a blast of wind that carved a deep trench in the ground below. Clearly, this was the so-called Flying Zombie.
“Get down here!”
Qi Huang’s voice was crisp and forceful. Her Divine Sense surged out of her body, crushing the space around the flying zombie, yanking him from the sky and slamming him into the plaza with brutal force.
“This… this can’t be! A mere… a mere cultivator from a low-tier world… how could you possibly be this strong?!”
The Flying Zombie General struggled, his face twisted in disbelief and rage.
Qi Huang’s Divine Sense morphed into a massive hand that grabbed the general by the throat and effortlessly lifted him into the air.
He thrashed weakly, like a chicken caught by the neck.
“Answer a few questions for this Immortal, and if you tell the truth, I might let you live.”
Qi Huang offered coldly.

“It’s already dead,”
Cheng Hongling reminded her with a roll of her eyes.
“Ah? Then I should let it die again? No, that’s not right… never mind…”
Qi Huang shook her head helplessly and reiterated,
“As long as you answer truthfully, this Immortal will let you go.”
Swish!
Before she finished speaking, Cheng Hongling had already taken action. With a backwards slash, she sliced off the Flying Zombie General’s right arm.
“Ahh… she hadn’t even asked yet… why’d you attack?!”
The Flying Zombie General screamed in pain and confusion.
“If I didn’t cut off a limb, why would you cooperate? This Immortal has no time to waste.”
Cheng Hongling replied indifferently.
“You…”
The Flying Zombie General was speechless, and could only squeeze out a few tears to express his protest.
Qi Huang repeated the same questions she had asked before, but unfortunately, even this Flying Zombie General wasn’t high enough in rank to know why the demoness was targeting girls with red tear-shaped birthmarks.
“Forget it. Let’s just have it tell us how to operate the teleportation gate. With that, we can go wherever we want with no limits.”
Cheng Hongling urged.
“You heard her. Tell this Immortal how to operate the teleportation gate. Otherwise, the next thing to hit the ground will be your head.”
Qi Huang threatened coldly.
