Volume 13, Chapter 827 – Are You Blind? Does That Look Like a Tear Mole?
“Oh my, isn’t this the Immortal Zhong Zhen from Lingxi Sect? What brings you to the Immortal Alliance’s headquarters to rescue people? With such a compassionate heart, anyone who didn’t know better would think you were a nun.”
The sinister voice of the Zombie General floated over as he drifted toward Qi Huang, speaking in a mockingly tone.
As soon as the surrounding crowd saw the eerie aura exuding from the Zombie General, they scattered in terror.
“Compassion has nothing to do with it. I just figured, since I was the one who let you go that day, I should be the one to clean up the mess,” Qi Huang replied calmly, showing no anger at his provocation.
“Let me go? Aren’t you flattering yourself a bit much? Who’s stronger between us isn’t even clear yet. How about we fight again right now and let me show you this general’s true strength?” the Zombie General said as he cracked his knuckles, clearly eager for a fight.
“Sure. Let’s fight in the Immortal Realm,” Qi Huang said with a half-smile.
“You think I’m stupid? Is your main body hiding there, lying in wait to ambush me?”
The Zombie General narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
“So what if it is? So what if it isn’t? If you’re really that capable, why not go challenge my main body in the Immortal Realm? What’s the point of wasting your time with just a doppelgänger like me? Even if you win, so what? Would that really make you proud?”
Qi Huang’s mocking tone sliced straight through.
“Sorry, I’ve got a mission to complete. I don’t have time to deal with you. Goodbye!”
The Zombie General’s expression faltered slightly, and he quickly made an excuse to leave.
“Wait. How should I address you?” Qi Huang called out to stop him.
“Remember this: my surname is Sha, and my given name is Hai,” the Zombie General said.
“General Sha, is it? So you turned the Immortal Alliance’s leader into a zombie and just left him here? You’re not taking him with you? Aren’t you worried I’ll just slaughter him?”
Qi Huang’s smile didn’t reach her eyes as she posed the question. Her tone, however, was deliberately loud, clearly meant for the entire city to hear. Although Wei Zhuo had been zombified, his appearance was still fairly human. If the crowd thought he had betrayed humanity by siding with the zombies, Qi Huang would have to spend more effort dealing with that later.
“What? The Immortal Alliance leader turned into a zombie?”
The nearby onlookers reacted in shock.
Sha Hai’s face turned ugly. Still, he knew full well that he couldn’t take Qi Huang down in the short term, so he shouted toward the ruins of the Immortal Alliance’s headquarters, “Come out. Looks like your time as leader is over.”
Wei Zhuo stepped out hesitantly from the rubble, his expression stiff and unnatural. He had once been the leader of the Immortal Alliance… now he was a zombie. The humiliation was unbearable.

“That’s Alliance Leader Wei?! My god, he really turned into a zombie!”
“This can’t be! I heard he had thirteen Immortal Steles protecting him. How could he still lose? Useless.”
“Exactly! And we even put our hope in him!”
“So that’s why the Alliance has been so ineffective at purging the zombie threat! That Wei guy was never capable to begin with!”
“Everyone, if even the Alliance Leader is now a zombie, who do we turn to the next time zombies attack?”
The crowd, realizing what had happened, erupted in angry disappointment directed at Wei Zhuo.
Wei Zhuo’s crimson eyes glared at Qi Huang with burning hatred. He wanted nothing more than to devour her alive.
“Let’s go,” Sha Hai ordered, and the two vanished instantly.
Qi Huang’s divine sense remained locked on them as she turned to speak to the gathered citizens. “Everyone, the Immortal Alliance’s leader has now become a zombie. The Alliance is effectively defunct. In the future, if you ever need help, feel free to come to Lingxi Sect. We will do everything in our power to protect you and solve your problems.”
“She’s right. There’s still Lingxi Sect. They have an Immortal guarding them, far better than the Immortal Alliance ever was.”
“Exactly. We all saw what Immortal Zhong Zhen is capable of. She saved the entire city and even the zombie general didn’t dare to mess with her. And then look at the so-called Alliance Leader… turned into a zombie just like that. The difference is obvious.”
“Seems like out with the old, in with the new.”
The crowd’s mood quickly turned around, the gloom lifted from their faces.
“Heh…”
A satisfied smile spread across Qi Huang’s face. As long as the zombie menace remained, her reputation would continue to rise. Keeping them alive was more valuable than killing them.
“Thank you, Immortal! Thank you for saving us!”
One by one, people gathered from all corners of the city to express their gratitude. Qi Huang’s reputation skyrocketed in a single day, and all thanks to the Zombie General.

Sha Hai returned to the Jinshan Empire’s camp with Wei Zhuo in tow. Neither spoke a word on the journey.
“What’s wrong? Missing your position as Alliance Leader already?”
Once they entered the main command tent, Sha Hai sat down and asked with a mocking smile.
“No… not really. I just think that staying in that role would allow me to serve you better,” Wei Zhuo said evasively.
“Hmph. I’m your master, you think I don’t know what’s on your mind?”
Sha Hai sneered with disdain, his gaze turning cold. “Daring to lie to your master. Do you know what crime that is?”
“Please forgive me, Master! Forgive me!” Wei Zhuo’s face went pale as he dropped to his knees and begged for mercy.
“I’ll spare you this time since you’re still new and don’t know the rules. But there won’t be a next time.”
Sha Hai warned coldly.
“Yes, yes!” Wei Zhuo kowtowed repeatedly.
“You know, I kept you alive for two reasons. First, so you could remain as the Alliance Leader and help me carry out my plans. Second, out of consideration for your own feelings. But that woman just had to go and expose you in public.”
Sha Hai added fuel to the fire deliberately.
“Master, I want to kill her,” Wei Zhuo said through gritted teeth. He couldn’t forget the look in the crowd’s eyes when he stepped out. He had never been so humiliated.
“Who doesn’t want to? Don’t worry, once the mission is complete, I’ll personally kill her. Not only to avenge you, but also to ensure our ghost race can develop freely on this planet.”
Sha Hai promised with a tone of reassurance.
“Thank you, Master!”
Wei Zhuo bowed deeply, then asked, “But Master, what exactly is our mission? Are we looking for a girl with a blood tear mole on her face?”
“No. My mission is simply to bring these tens of thousands of ghost soldiers to Kaiyuan Planet and eliminate any threats to them. Finding the girl with the blood tear mole? That’s their task… or perhaps yours. This general doesn’t have time to waste here.”

Sha Hai clarified.
“Rest assured, Master. I will complete the task,” Wei Zhuo responded smoothly, bowing low.
“Good. Once I’m gone, you’ll take command of these ghost troops. Don’t disappoint me.”
Sha Hai nodded, satisfied.
“Yes!”
Wei Zhuo’s face lit up with excitement. He hadn’t expected to be entrusted with such an important responsibility so soon. But in his excitement, something struck him as odd. “Master, forgive my boldness, but if you’re capable of killing Zhong Zhen, why haven’t you done it yet? Leaving her out there only sours morale.”
“The answer’s simple. This general will soon advance to the late Human-stage Demon. Killing her then will be as easy as flipping a hand.”
Sha Hai clenched his massive fist, confidence radiating from him.
“Congratulations, Master! May your advancement be swift and smooth!”
Wei Zhuo raised a cup in toast, overjoyed.
“Laugh all you want… but do you even know what level of cultivation this immortal is at? Having a preemptive celebration, aren’t you afraid of jinxing yourself?”
Qi Huang, watching from Zundao City, let out a laugh happier than the zombies themselves.
Just then, a male voice came from outside the command tent. “General, another cultivator brought in a girl with a mole on her face.”
“Oh? Bring her in!” Sha Hai ordered excitedly.
Moments later, a Golden Zombie lieutenant led two skeleton soldiers into the tent, escorting a girl whose face was ashen and spirit broken.
Sha Hai looked closely and instantly scowled. “Lieutenant Guo, are you blind? That mole is down on her chin! And it’s black! How the hell is that a blood tear mole?”
“G-G-General, please see clearly, I-I’m not cursed! I was born into a well-off family and have always lived in comfort. How could I possibly have a tear mole—something so unlucky?” the girl stammered, seeing a glimmer of hope and mustering the courage to speak up.
“Uhh… I just figured better to be safe than sorry…” Lieutenant Guo stammered.
“Forget it. Lock her up. You’re right, better safe than sorry.”

Sha Hai considered briefly and gave the order.
“Yes, sir!”
Relieved, Guo and the two skeleton soldiers dragged the crying girl away.
“Master, are there any other characteristics we’re looking for, aside from the blood tear mole on the girl’s face?” Wei Zhuo couldn’t help but ask.
“No. That’s all I was told.”
Sha Hai shook his head helplessly.
“Then how do we find her? Kaiyuan Planet has billions of people. There’s probably at least a thousand girls with blood tear moles. How will you tell who’s real?”
Wei Zhuo asked, astonished.
“That’s why, once I leave, you need to grow the ghost race fast. Round up every girl with a blood tear mole and send them all to my master. Only she can tell the real one. Got it?”
Sha Hai barked impatiently.
“Yes.”
Wei Zhuo bowed again, accepting the order.
“Oh right. Since you were the Alliance Leader, you should know all cultivators on Kaiyuan Planet above the Divine Realm. Write me a list and I’ll make sure they’re all sent to the afterlife.”
Sha Hai instructed casually.
Without hesitation, Wei Zhuo took out pen and paper and wrote down the names of every cultivator on the planet above Divine Realm, completely forgetting his former role as the Alliance’s leader.
Sha Hai picked up the list and skimmed through it, his expression darkening. “Within three days, I want everyone on this list eliminated.”
The reason Sha Hai was so swift and ruthless was because three days from now marked the end of his deadline for the native cultivators of Kaiyuan Planet. When that time came, the ghost army would launch its full assault, and he would depart to report back with the girls they’d collected. He couldn’t afford to leave any threats behind.
Meanwhile, in Zundao City, Qi Huang had seen and heard every detail. Her thoughts were scornful: ‘Three days? With this Immortal watching over, you’ll be lucky to die in time.’
