Volume 13, Chapter 831 – Blending In
“Who exactly did you hear this from? How credible is it?”
Deputy General Guo’s expression immediately turned panicked as he chased after the question.
“Reporting to the… the General, everyone outside… outside is talking about it. They say that General Sha was beheaded by that female… that female immortal in front of everyone at the Yundang Sect. His… his corpse is still being paraded through the streets.”
The subordinate leader replied in a dazed panic.
Hearing this, Deputy General Guo’s face turned deathly pale. He wasn’t a fool. Combined with the fact that they had lost contact with General Sha, the matter was likely true.
“General, what should we do now? Should we send someone to verify whether it’s true?”
The subordinate leader asked with a trembling voice.
Deputy General Guo fell into deep thought. A moment later, his expression changed drastically, and he immediately stormed out of the command tent, shouting: “All units, listen up! Sound the gong to retreat! We return to Wuwu Planet immediately!”
The evil spirits outside didn’t panic at the order but instead began dismantling their camps in an orderly manner, no different from a well-trained army of the living.
Inside the tent, the Silver Corpse subordinate stood frozen, dumbfounded. He hadn’t expected Deputy General Guo to be such a coward, immediately deciding to flee without even putting up a fight.
“What are you standing there for? Move!”
Deputy General Guo roared.
“Deputy General Guo, with General Sha’s life or death still unknown, isn’t it a bit inappropriate to flee like this? What if our master punishes us later…”
The Silver Corpse subordinate reminded him cautiously.
“Are you stupid? If this is true, what do we do when that female immortal comes after us? Rather than stay and wait to die, it’s better to return to Wuwu Planet first and then figure out General Sha’s situation. As for our master, preserving strength in wartime is the most important thing, that’s something she always says herself. Why would she blame us?”
Deputy General Guo responded with a look of frustration at the subordinate’s inability to grasp the situation.
“Understood.”
The Silver Corpse subordinate suddenly “came to his senses” and rushed out hurriedly.

“Blockhead.”
Deputy General Guo cursed.
Qi Huang’s lips curled into a faint smile, everything was unfolding just as she had expected.
“Sisters, what exactly do these evil spirits want with us?”
“No idea. All they said was they were looking for a woman with a red tear shaped mole on her face.”
“A blood tear shaped mole? Ha! You call this red? This is clearly black. Are these evil spirits colorblind?”
“Even if the evil spirits are colorblind, are the cultivators as well? I was caught by those cowardly scum.”
“You think that’s bad? I’m the real victim here! Mine isn’t just black, it’s near my mouth. How is that a tear shaped mole? It’s clearly a sign of wealth!”
“Regardless, nothing good awaits us in their hands. We must find a way to escape.”
Inside the camp, the girls whispered among themselves.
“Escape? How? I’m just an ordinary person. I can’t even handle a basic zombie soldier.”
One girl said pitifully.
The others all turned their gaze toward a girl among them who had exceptional looks.
This girl looked to be in her twenties, with a slender figure and dressed in a blue skirt. Her large, black-and-white eyes sparkled with clarity, and she always wore a smug smile on her delicate face when looking at the others, showing no fear whatsoever.
Just from her appearance, Qi Huang could tell that she was definitely a cultivator… no ordinary woman could look this perfect.
As expected, this was the same girl who had previously mentioned that even though she was in the Incarnation Realm, she had still been captured.
“Fairy Yuan, this jade is a treasured heirloom passed down in my family. They say it can attract spiritual energy from heaven and earth and is extremely beneficial to cultivators. I’m giving it to you now, hoping you’ll take me with you when you escape.”
One girl stepped forward first to offer a token of goodwill to the blue-clad cultivator.

Fairy Yuan took the jade, weighed it in her hand, then said, “It’s good jade, but not as miraculous as you claim. Attracting spiritual energy from the heavens? Nonsense.”
She then tossed the jade back with apparent disdain.
“You actually had the nerve to bring out such a cheap jade to show off?”
“Fairy Yuan, this is a spatial ring my father gave me. It can hold ten oxen, definitely more valuable than her useless jade. Please accept it.”
“Fairy Yuan, this skirt was a gift for my eighteenth birthday. It’s made of snow silkworm thread and can absorb water-element spiritual energy, an absolute treasure for water-type cultivators. I’m giving it to you now.”
“Fairy Yuan, this rouge paper was custom-made for me at great expense at the Yingfang Pavilion in the capital. Just one dab and your lips will stay red and fragrant for a whole year.”
The surrounding girls all began offering their treasures one after another to win favor, except for Qi Huang, who stood still without making a move.
The girl who had been rejected looked embarrassed. Her gaze darted around before finally landing on Qi Huang.
“Fairy, this is the most valuable thing I have. I give it to you. If there’s ever a chance to escape, please take me with you.”
The girl walked over and handed her a jade pendant, pleading.
“No need. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you’re safe.”
Qi Huang replied generously.
“Thank you, Fairy!”
The girl bowed deeply in gratitude.
“Have you all misunderstood something?”
Just then, the blue-dressed Fairy Yuan suddenly snapped. She swept aside the treasures in front of her and said, “I didn’t refuse her item because I despised it. I simply don’t need any of this junk. Take it all back. Don’t worry, if there’s a chance to escape, I will take all of you with me.”
“Thank you, Fairy Yuan!”
The girls were all moved to tears and thanked her profusely.

A look of appreciation appeared on Qi Huang’s face. She hadn’t expected this cultivator to have such a chivalrous spirit, it was unexpectedly admirable.
At that moment, the chaos outside had already reached their side. The girls exchanged worried glances.
“Pack your things and follow me now!”
A zombie guard outside suddenly lifted the tent flap and called out.
“What’s going on? Where are these zombies taking us?”
One girl asked in confusion.
“If you don’t want to die, do as you’re told.”
Fairy Yuan warned sternly.
The girls had no choice but to get up and gather their belongings.
Under the guard’s urging, they soon exited the tent and followed the evil spirit army as they began retreating toward the capital of the Jinshan Empire. However, because there were ordinary humans among them, their march was slow. It would take nearly two full days to reach their destination.
“Deputy General Guo, this is too slow. Should we just kill the ordinary girls who can’t keep up?”
Wei Zhuo found Deputy General Guo and made the suggestion. Right now, his greatest fear was that Qi Huang would catch up to them.
Qi Huang’s expression turned cold. If these bastards truly tried that, she wouldn’t mind slaughtering them all. She only needed one survivor to trace the mastermind. The only problem was that doing so might arouse suspicion.
“No. Too many eyes are watching right now. If our master finds out we killed the ‘Mole-marked Women’, we’re as good as dead.”
Deputy General Guo thought for a moment and shook his head.
“‘Mole-marked Women’?”
Wei Zhuo didn’t get it at first.
“We refer to the girls with facial moles as ‘Mole-marked Women.’”

Deputy General Guo patiently explained, given that Wei Zhuo was now the strongest in the evil spirit ranks.
Wei Zhuo shook his head helplessly and sighed, “What a shame. I’m a zombie now, so I can’t use Divine Sense. Otherwise, we could just stash them in a spatial ring. I remember some powerful ghosts can use spatial rings, don’t you have one of those in your ranks?”
“Powerful ghosts? I nearly forgot about that!”
Deputy General Guo slapped his forehead and immediately ordered a powerful malicious ghost to use a spatial ring to store five to six dozen ‘Mole-marked Women’. As expected, the march sped up significantly.
Meanwhile, inside the spatial ring, the girls were already in disarray.
“Fairy Yuan, you have to think of something. If they take us off Kaiyuan Planet, it’ll be nearly impossible to return.”
One girl begged.
“No, not yet. Even if I can break the ring from inside, there are too many evil spirits guarding outside. We can’t escape.”
Fairy Yuan shook her head.
“That’s still better than being taken to their lair!”
“Yeah, who knows what’s on the other side of that teleportation portal? I’ve heard that Demon General is terrifying. Will you be able to handle it then?”
“No chance. That Demon is at least stronger than an immortal. We’ll be dead the moment we get there.”
“Sisters, is anyone able to contact their family? Ask them to hurry and rescue us. We won’t have time later!”
Realizing they couldn’t rely on Fairy Yuan, the girls began looking for ways to save themselves.
Fairy Yuan snapped. She condensed her Divine Sense and charged toward the mouth of the spatial ring, only to discover that the ghost’s spiritual seal was impossible to shake.
Fairy Yuan didn’t panic. She summoned a treasured sword and channeled her True Qi, slashing toward the inner wall of the ring.
The girls gasped and backed away in fright.
