Volume 13, Chapter 833 – I Must Inspect the Mole-Marked Girls
As soon as Qi Huang steadied herself, she was immediately struck by a chilling wind. Despite her body having already reached the Divine Realm, she still felt a trace of coldness.
Looking around, Qi Huang found herself standing in the middle of a vast plaza. The surroundings were faintly visible ruins of broken eaves and shattered walls. What blocked visibility wasn’t ordinary fog, but a thin layer of Yin energy. Thus, what blew across them was not just a cold wind, but a ghostly Yin wind—
No wonder it seeped in from every direction.
Even someone like Qi Huang felt the cold. The other girls, especially those without True Qi protecting their bodies, fared far worse. The moment they came into contact with the air, they immediately doubled over from the cold, their entire bodies shaking like drenched chickens.
“This is a Monarch-grade Protective Talisman. It’ll ward off the cold.”
Fairy Yuan quickly retrieved several dozen talismans from her spatial ring and distributed them.
With someone else stepping in to help, Qi Huang had no intention of acting herself. After all, being too high-profile would easily attract unwanted attention.
Sure enough, the surrounding malevolent beings turned their gazes to Fairy Yuan. Fortunately, no one said anything. After all, protecting the mole-marked girls’ safety was part of their duty too.
The girls put on the talismans. A gentle Yang warmth spread across their bodies, and the biting cold immediately lessened by more than half.
Qi Huang, who had intended to play dumb and remain low-profile, felt a bit embarrassed to accept someone else’s offering. So she took out a talisman of her own and put it on, then released her Divine Sense to scan the surroundings.
She quickly realized that they were on a ruined planet. Over eighty percent of the surface was covered in snow and ice, though faint outlines of ruined structures could still be made out. Clearly, many living beings had once dwelled here. But now, not a single sign of life remained, only wandering ghosts and spirits.
This place had clearly been completely overtaken by malevolent beings.
Qi Huang was currently in what remained of a large city. Due to the corrosive effects of Yin energy, all that was left was an endless stretch of crumbling eaves and broken walls. Anything that moved was no longer living, just a ghost.
“Oh ho! Isn’t this Deputy General Guo? How come you’re back already after just a few days? That’s some efficient work!”
Just then, a male zombie led a group of troops over. He looked much like an ordinary middle-aged man, with all corpse spots already faded. Clearly, his cultivation was at least above the Flying Zombie level.
“General Meng!”
Deputy General Guo respectfully cupped his fists in greeting.
“No need for formalities. Where’s General Sha? Why didn’t he return with you?”

The zombie surnamed Meng glanced around.
“General Meng… General Sha… he… he died in battle.”
Deputy General Guo replied with a choked voice.
“What?”
General Meng’s face changed dramatically. He pressed further: “How did this happen? General Sha was at the Human-stage Demon realm. How could he possibly die in battle in this mid-tier world?”
“Well… it was like this…”
Deputy General Guo stammered as he recounted the entire situation, even forcing out two drops of blood-tinged tears along the way.
“I see. No wonder you’ve come back so soon.”
Sympathy flashed across General Meng’s face. His tone grew solemn. “A cultivator with Divine Sense that vastly surpasses their actual cultivation… that’s truly unimaginable.”
“Exactly. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I’d never have believed it. It’s just a pity… I was too weak to avenge General Sha.”
Deputy General Guo shook his head, face filled with sorrow.
“Sigh. Don’t grieve. You managed to bring back so many of our brothers, that alone is enough.”
General Meng patted Guo on the shoulder, then turned his attention to Wei Zhuo beside him. “This friend looks unfamiliar. I don’t believe we’ve met before. Deputy General Guo, aren’t you going to introduce him?”
“Reporting to General Meng, this is the descendant General Sha cultivated on Kaiyuan Planet—the leader of the Immortal Alliance, Wei Zhuo.”
Deputy General Guo quickly explained.
“I am Wei Zhuo. Greetings, General Meng.”
Wei Zhuo cupped his fists respectfully as well.

“No need for such formality, Brother Wei. Strength reigns supreme in this world. Since we are both Flying Zombies, if you don’t mind, why not just call me Brother Meng?”
General Meng’s unexpectedly warm attitude made it clear he was trying to build rapport.
“Then I’d be honored, Brother Meng.”
Wei Zhuo was flattered and quickly accepted.
Off to the side, Deputy General Guo’s face turned somewhat sour. After all, he was the one who brought the man here, and now General Meng was clearly trying to poach him.
After a few moments of pleasantries, General Meng led Deputy General Guo’s group to a nearby encampment.
During this time, Qi Huang had also largely figured out the current situation. The planet was called Guhan Planet. In the past, it had been home to many humans, including cultivators capable of traveling through the heavens and across the earth. But as malevolent beings poured in from beyond, the living gradually disappeared.
The man named Meng was the leader of the malevolent beings stationed at the teleportation formation on this planet. He was the planet’s ruler.
Qi Huang and the other mole-marked girls were locked inside a ruined courtyard to rest temporarily. Some food suitable for living beings was thrown in by the malevolent beings, though it was pitifully little.
The girls, having starved for too long, scrambled to grab whatever they could. Some even started fighting.
“Stop it already! It’s just food, isn’t it? I’ve got plenty.”
Fairy Yuan scolded impatiently, then pulled more food from her spatial ring and passed it out.
Only then did the girls calm down somewhat and began to eat happily.
“Damn, they get to feast while we’re out here starving in the cold wind.”
“Yeah, it’s been so long and Deputy General Guo hasn’t given us any blood or anything.”
“We barely brought any food with us when we left. And we had to rush… What supplies could we possibly have?”
“No food? Then are we supposed to just starve here? Getting back to Wuwu Planet isn’t a one or two-day journey.”
These grumbling voices came from outside the courtyard, where the zombies were stationed.

“Could they be short on supplies?”
Qi Huang muttered to herself.
“You must be hungry. Eat up.”
Just then, Fairy Yuan walked over holding a few pastries and handed them to Qi Huang.
“Thanks, I’m not hungry.”
Qi Huang brushed it off casually. Her Divine Sense, however, remained locked onto the residence where Deputy General Guo and General Meng were.
“How could you not be? Even if you’re a cultivator, after such a grueling journey, you should be starving. Don’t worry, I’ve got tons of food.”
Fairy Yuan insisted and shoved the pastries into Qi Huang’s hand.
“Thank you!”
Not wanting to argue, Qi Huang accepted reluctantly, then asked offhandedly, “You’re a cultivator. Why carry so much food?”
Fairy Yuan shook her head with a helpless smile, then plopped down beside Qi Huang and began explaining.
Qi Huang felt awkward. She wanted to scoot away but didn’t want to appear rude, so she reluctantly let Fairy Yuan sit close.
“My name is Yuan Xin, from the Jinshan Empire…”
Fairy Yuan rambled on, completely unaware of Qi Huang’s discomfort. Truthfully, this was how it often was between girls, once familiar, all distance vanished.
Despite her wandering thoughts, Qi Huang quickly grasped the gist of it.
Fairy Yuan’s full name was Yuan Xin. She was a genius disciple from a major sect in the Jinshan Empire. On the day her troubles began, she was out delivering food to a village tormented by malevolent forces. Unexpectedly, she was captured mid-route by a rival sect and handed over to the malevolent camp.
“Those bastards really don’t waste a thing. Giving you to malevolent beings is more valuable than killing you. Not only do they get rid of competition, but they also curry favor with the enemy.”

Qi Huang couldn’t help but tease.
“Exactly! Once I get back, I’ll tell my master everything. The Wuhu Sect won’t get away with this!”
Yuan Xin said fiercely. Wuhu Sect was the one that had delivered her to the malevolent beings.
“By the way, what’s your name? How did you get caught?”
Yuan Xin turned to her with curiosity.
“I’m Chen Yuzhu…”
Qi Huang made up a name on the spot and spun a fake story, all while continuing to monitor the conversation between Deputy General Guo and General Meng.
The two zombies had been exchanging pleasantries in the main hall of the estate for quite a while. Finally, they got down to business.
Deputy General Guo drained his cup of blood and said, “Thank you for the hospitality, General Meng. The tea’s been drunk, and it’s time for us to head out.”
“So soon? Why not rest here for a few more days?”
General Meng offered “warmly”.
“No need. With General Sha dead, I must return and report to our master as soon as possible.”
Deputy General Guo stood up hastily. In truth, the lack of supplies was his real concern. He couldn’t afford to linger.
“If that’s the case, I won’t stop you.”
General Meng didn’t insist. But then his face grew serious. “You know the rules for using the teleportation array, Deputy General Guo. I won’t stop you from leaving, but I must thoroughly inspect the mole-marked girls. If something goes wrong, none of us can bear the consequences.”
Deputy General Guo’s expression shifted. But knowing he had no other choice, he could only nod reluctantly.
“Very well. Please proceed, General Meng.”
