Volume 13, Chapter 841 – All of You Must Die
As soon as those words were spoken, silence fell over the entire military camp. It was so quiet one could hear a pin drop.
Zeng Xiao turned his head like a machine to look at the senior officer who had just spoken. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect a traitor to emerge from within his own ranks.
Inside the spatial ring, Qi Huang was also stunned. She had thought that with a hundred and thirty mole-marked girls, she could pass the checkpoint without a hitch. Who would’ve expected something like this to happen?
The senior officer, terrified of retaliation, quickly rushed to General Peng’s side to seek protection.
“Lin Feng… You dare betray me?”
Zeng Xiao exploded in fury once he came back to his senses.
“Betrayal? What betrayal? As a deputy general, you disobeyed military orders and hid mole-marked girls. I, on the other hand, am being selfless and enforcing justice.”
That senior officer, named Lin Feng, retorted with arrogant confidence.
“You shameless bastard! I’ve always treated you well, is this how you repay me?”
Zeng Xiao was so furious that ghostly aura surged around him. His eyes were practically dripping blood.
“Lin Feng, you damn dog! If our brothers hadn’t bled and died for you, do you think you’d have ever become a leader? And now you betray us?”
“That’s right! We’re all starving to death, and you’re still stirring up trouble? Do you have any conscience left at all?”
“Lin Feng, you think you’re so clean? Aren’t you afraid I’ll spill the dirty deeds you’ve done?”
The other specters on Zeng Xiao’s side were equally outraged, all launching into angry condemnations of Lin Feng, the shameless traitor.
“Everyone, I’m only targeting Zeng Xiao. Hiding mole-marked girls was his act alone, it has nothing to do with the rest of you.”
Lin Feng tried to explain, not wanting to provoke the wrath of the entire group.
“Deputy General Zeng, is what he’s saying true?”
General Peng’s face instantly turned grim.
“I…”
Zeng Xiao wanted to deny it but was afraid he wouldn’t be able to fool the man’s eyes, and so a fierce inner struggle took place.

“General, the mole-marked girl is inside the spatial ring he’s carrying.”
Lin Feng struck while the iron was hot, clearly determined to send Zeng Xiao to his death.
“Hand over that spatial ring.”
General Peng stepped forward, face dark, demanding it.
Zeng Xiao had no choice but to pass the ring over.
General Peng took it, lowered his head, and examined it closely. His eyes flicked rapidly for a moment before he said, “There’s no mole-marked girl in here.”
“Uh…”
All the specters were once again stunned. Was the general this incompetent?
“General, she has Heaven-Deceiving Water on her, divine sense can’t detect her…”
Lin Feng hurried to explain.
“Nonsense! It’s clearly empty in here. Or are you questioning my judgment?”
General Peng’s voice turned harsh.
“N-not at all… This subordinate wouldn’t dare…”
Lin Feng trembled all over, not daring to speak again.
Zeng Xiao and Wei Zhuo exchanged glances, both showing expressions of confusion.
Inside the ring, Qi Huang was equally bewildered. Even though she had sprayed herself with Heaven-Deceiving Water, the man could still easily crush the ring to investigate… Why stop so abruptly?
Qi Huang didn’t believe for a second that General Peng was a fool. As the saying goes: ‘When something is abnormal, there’s something wrong.’ The man clearly had another motive.
“Very good. Your mole-marked girls are acceptable. Tomorrow, this general will activate the teleportation gate to send you away.”
General Peng spoke again.
Hearing this, the specters on Zeng Xiao’s side finally breathed a collective sigh of relief.

“All right. Everyone else, clear out. I’d like some alone time to bond with Deputy General Zeng.”
General Peng waved his hand.
The group of specters obeyed and exited in a hurry.
Lin Feng stood awkwardly in place, unsure whether to stay or go. He had betrayed his own side but failed to accomplish his goal. If he left now, the other specters would rip him to shreds.
“You… stay.”
General Peng ordered.
“Yes!”
Lin Feng was overjoyed and stayed in the courtyard with a righteous air.
“Thank you, General Peng, for granting passage. However, we’ve traveled long and hard, and our resources are exhausted… We have nothing to offer you in return.”
Zeng Xiao stepped forward and bowed.
“Don’t thank me so quickly.”
General Peng didn’t accept the gratitude. He sneered, and with a small motion of his hand, crack! A crisp snap echoed out and the ring in his palm shattered into fragments.
Qi Huang immediately appeared in front of them, an awkward smile on her face as she politely greeted them. “Hello, everyone.”
Zeng Xiao and Wei Zhuo were instantly chilled to the bone, like they’d been dragged from paradise into hell.
Yuan Xin quickly rushed to stand in front of Qi Huang, remaining on high alert, clearly ready to share life or death with her.
General Peng carefully examined Qi Huang, then teased: “Deputy General Zeng, you hid a mole-marked girl inside your spatial ring for no reason. She must be more than she appears, no?”
Zeng Xiao forced a smile uglier than a cry and dared not respond in any other way.
“The mole on your left cheek is fake, isn’t it? Wipe off the makeup on your right cheek. Let this general have a look.”
General Peng’s eyes gleamed as he gave the command.

‘What a sly old fox,’ Qi Huang silently cursed. She knew there was no longer any way to keep up the disguise, and honestly, she didn’t want to anymore. Swiftly, she took out a handkerchief and wiped off the fake mole on her left cheek and the powder concealing her right cheek, revealing the unmistakable red tear-shaped mole.
“Hm?”
General Peng’s expression shifted. He squinted and studied her closely. Moments later, his eyes lit up. “This mole… it matches exactly what my lord described. Could she be the very person he’s looking for?”
“Heh… Deputy General Zeng, now I understand why you tried to hide her. You were afraid others would covet her. If she really is the one my master is after, then she’s worth enough to trade for an Immortal Alliance-level cultivator as a blood slave. Who could resist such temptation?”
General Peng mocked with a grin, then abruptly changed his tone. “Zeng Xiao, hiding a mole-marked girl is punishable by death. I’m going to execute all of you right here.”
The specters on Zeng Xiao’s side, including Wei Zhuo, all trembled violently, terror etched on their faces.
“Wait! General Peng, hiding her was my decision alone. My subordinates had nothing to do with it.”
Zeng Xiao tried to defend them.
“You think I’m a child? If it was just you, how did he know?”
General Peng pointed at Lin Feng, then declared, “They knew and didn’t report it. That makes them accomplices.”
Qi Huang smiled. So that was it, he was trying every trick in the book to scare Zeng Xiao. Clearly, he also wanted to keep her for himself. That explained why he’d cleared everyone else out. He didn’t want outsiders to know.
“General Peng, what do you want in exchange for sparing us?”
Zeng Xiao asked helplessly.
“Leave this girl behind. Take the other mole-marked ones and claim your reward. No one is to speak a word of this.”
General Peng didn’t mince words.
“Heh, so the one who really wants to hoard a mole-marked girl… is you, General Peng Shu.”
Zeng Xiao sneered.
“It’s not hoarding. I believe she may be a spy from the Immortal Alliance, and I must detain her for investigation.”
Peng Shu lied through his teeth.
“A spy from the Immortal Alliance? Me?”

Qi Huang pointed at her nose, struggling to keep a straight face. From the moment she started cultivating, she’d been fighting against the Immortal Alliance.
“What if I refuse?”
Zeng Xiao’s face turned dark. If this ‘Chen Yuzhu’ was truly the girl that every demon lord was searching for, her worth would be immeasurable. How could he just hand her over?
“Trying to obstruct my investigation of a spy? Then you’re an accomplice too. That means you die.”
Peng Shu’s face twisted into a grim snarl. Ghostly energy surged from his body, and the nails on his hands began to grow wildly like zombie claws.
“Wait, I agree to your terms!”
Zeng Xiao wasn’t stupid enough to fight to the death.
“Too late. Your stupidity means everyone here must die.”
Peng Shu showed no mercy. His now one-meter-long, razor-sharp black claws—like five blades thin as cicada wings—slashed straight toward Zeng Xiao without any flourish.
In that instant, Zeng Xiao finally realized that Peng Shu had already decided to silence them the moment he saw the red tear mole on “Chen Yuzhu’s” face. This so-called investigation excuse was just a front.
Facing life and death, Zeng Xiao didn’t even try to dodge — not because he didn’t want to, but because he couldn’t react in time.
Peng Shu didn’t use his full power for the strike. He was confident he could easily crush Zeng Xiao, it never crossed his mind he’d hit a hard target.
Clang!
Peng Shu felt a sudden sting in his right claw. Looking down, he saw the five blade-like black zombie nails fall one after another from his fingertips. The severed edges were smooth and clean as if sliced by a single stroke.
“Who? Who dared ambush me? Show yourself if you’ve got the guts!”
Peng Shu roared in fury, scanning the surroundings. All he saw were stunned, wide-eyed faces… except for the girl with the red tear mole, who was walking toward him.
Peng Shu assumed she was seeking protection and didn’t even glance her way, still craning his neck to look around.
“Hey, hey, hey… What are you looking at? Over here! Right here!”
Qi Huang waved and pointed to her own nose, her tone slightly exasperated.
