Volume 13, Chapter 855 – Opening the Teleportation Gate (Part 4)

Qin Yang was neither foolish nor deranged, but no sane person could endure seeing their own grandson’s wrist severed. This wasn’t a matter of intelligence… it was about family.

The other malevolent ghosts of the Qin ancestral tomb were used to being tyrannical. Once they saw one of their own being bullied, they all rushed forward in a frenzy, not caring in the slightest who the opponent was.

“You bitch, I’ll kill you!”

Qin Bo finally reacted. Drawing the long saber at his waist, he charged toward Qi Huang, humiliated and furious.

“Courting death.”

Qi Huang let out a cold sneer. The boundless demonic hair behind her head lashed out like a raging storm, sweeping through the air with terrifying force. Each strand was razor-sharp, leaving dense scars in the spatial barriers.

Swish swish swish…

Regardless of strength or cultivation, not a single malevolent ghost from the Qin ancestral tomb managed to evade the onslaught. In the blink of an eye, thousands were shredded into chunks of flesh by the countless strands of hair, transforming into a rain of blood and gore that fell from the sky.

“Wasn’t that Qin Yang a peak Golden Corpse cultivator? He was just butchered like a lackey?”

The surrounding malevolent ghosts were so terrified their guts nearly burst. All of them screamed in panic and scrambled to flee.

“I already said: whoever dares to cut in line will be executed on the spot. If you doubt it, go ahead and try again.”

Qi Huang issued the provocation.

The eyes of tens of thousands of malevolent ghosts darted away, none daring to meet her gaze.

Qi Huang smiled in satisfaction. If slaughtering a couple of malevolent ghosts was enough to establish dominance, then it was a deal well worth making.

As time passed, the malevolent ghosts began entering the teleportation gate in an orderly fashion. With “Zhong Zhen” still nowhere to be seen, they gradually let down their guard.

But Qi Huang wasn’t about to let things end so easily. She immediately sent word to Cheng Hongling: “My love, it’s your turn now. Scare them to death.”

“I’ve been dying to make a move.”

Cheng Hongling, who had been lying in wait nearby, immediately lunged toward the Princess Tomb. With every step she took, icy True Qi surged outward, freezing everything in its path. Even before she arrived, the temperature plummeted.

“That’s weird. Why is it suddenly so cold?”

“Quit joking. You’re a zombie, how could you feel cold?”

“No, really, the temperature’s dropping. Look at the ground, it’s starting to freeze over!”

“This doesn’t make sense! It’s almost noon. Even if sunlight doesn’t reach this place, it should still be warming up by now!”

The malevolent ghosts on the outskirts didn’t realize danger was approaching. They stood around, discussing the weather. But as the dark ice thickened on the ground and rapidly crept up their legs, they finally sensed something was wrong.

“Wait, this isn’t just a temperature drop. Ice shouldn’t spread this fast.”

One ghost reacted quickly and turned to flee. Unfortunately, the ground was too slick, causing them to slip and fall, then get instantly frozen over.

“Ah!”

A wave of cold dread swept through the malevolent ghosts. They scattered in all directions like frightened beasts. Unfortunately, only ghosts could flee freely. Zombies and skeletons needed to stay grounded, and on the slick dark ice, they couldn’t even walk properly.

Panic-stricken, they drew their weapons and began hacking at the ice… but it was utterly unmoved.

Crack… crack…

The crisp sound of freezing echoed through the air as the dark ice spread like an avalanche, unstoppable and ever-advancing.

“Trying to leave? Did you ask this immortal’s permission?”

A clear female voice rang out. Majestic and awe-inspiring, Cheng Hongling appeared above the crowd. Her red dress fluttered like fresh blood, and the Blue-Scaled Sword in her hand gleamed with a forest-like chill. The murderous aura she exuded was enough to chill the soul.

“It’s Zhong Zhen… It’s that Zhong Zhen… Run for your lives!”

“Help… Help us… Your Highness, save us! Zhong Zhen is here!”

“It’s all over. I should’ve stayed curled up at home. At least I might have lived a few days longer.”

The malevolent ghosts were scared out of their wits, fleeing in every direction.

“Don’t panic, everyone! Enter the teleportation gate in order, I’ll hold Zhong Zhen off.”

Qi Huang took the opportunity to step forward. Using her Divine Sense, she controlled an ordinary sword and launched it toward her beloved. The two of them immediately clashed in a fierce battle.

Cheng Hongling didn’t hold back. She wanted to test her limits and see how she measured up against her partner.

But Qi Huang was careful to restrain herself. With her current strength, even a moment of carelessness could reduce Cheng Hongling to shards like a porcelain doll.

Of course, none of the malevolent ghosts below could tell the difference. The shockwaves from the clash left them trembling in fear.

“Her Highness is truly righteous! We ghost clans from Mount Matou will follow her lead from now on. She will be our eternal leader!”

“Yes! Anyone who disrespects Her Highness in the future, we’ll deal with them ourselves! She won’t even need to lift a finger!”

“Your Highness… sob… You must survive! We still need to repay your great kindness…”

Moved to tears, the malevolent ghosts reluctantly entered the teleportation gate.

Clenching her teeth, Cheng Hongling attacked with all her might, frustrated by how much she felt like the villain. It naturally made her angry.

“It’s fine. As long as everyone gets out safely, I, Ye Xiuyun, will have no regrets.”

Qi Huang took the chance to speak between dodges and dramatic flourishes, adding a noble flair to her role.

“You dare talk while fighting?”

Cheng Hongling felt utterly insulted, and her strikes became even more ferocious.

“My love, are you serious? Is this really necessary? Let’s just leave this place, find somewhere to observe from a distance. Once they’re all teleported out, it’ll be over.”

Qi Huang made the suggestion while dodging gracefully.

“You’re the ‘love’! Your whole family are ‘loves’!”

Cheng Hongling wasn’t listening at all. Her techniques grew even more intense, crashing like relentless waves.

Sensing things getting out of hand, Qi Huang immediately ran for it.

Cheng Hongling gave chase, like a tiny dog provoked to the point of madness.

And so, the couple went from a chase to a full-blown duel—Qi Huang fighting from her male persona to her female persona and back again, while Cheng Hongling still refused to stop.

Two days later, they ended up back at the Princess Tomb, and by that time, all the malevolent ghosts had already passed through the teleportation gate.

“Stop, stop, stop!”

Qi Huang tried frantically to intervene.

‘Am I really that far behind her now? And I actually thought I could protect her?’

A look of frustration crossed Cheng Hongling’s delicate face. She hadn’t even managed to touch the hem of Qi Huang’s skirt in the past two days.

“My love, you stay here on Kaiyuan Planet. I’ll go to Yin Planet No. 2 and get the malevolent ghosts settled. Then we can go home.”

After leaving a few instructions, Qi Huang stepped into the teleportation gate and headed for Yin Planet No. 2.

When she arrived, she found all the malevolent ghosts quietly waiting at the entrance. They were well-behaved and perfectly disciplined… a stark contrast to how they had been before.

“Sob… Her Highness is back… Her Highness is really back… This is wonderful!”

“Your Highness, your grace and kindness will never be forgotten!”

“Your Highness, not only did you save us, but you also gave us such a wonderful new home. You’re the savior of all ghost clans from Kaiyuan Planet!”

As soon as they saw Qi Huang, the malevolent ghosts cried and rushed forward to welcome her.

“This was worth it.”

Qi Huang smiled sincerely, then decisively closed the teleportation gate.

“Everyone, I like flowers and plants. If you truly want to repay me, then put your hearts into growing them.”

Once the ghosts had calmed, Qi Huang pulled out a map of Kaiyuan Planet she had prepared earlier. “This is the map of Yin Planet No. 2 beneath our feet. Each ghost clan will receive a plot of land. The size will depend on your population. You’re free to use the resources within your territory, but strictly forbidden from invading others. Each faction should send a representative to Jian Yiren for registration. Understood?”

“Yes!”

The malevolent ghosts responded in unison.

“Soon, I will distribute flower and plant seeds according to the size of your land. Stay here and farm in peace. If you need anything, just say so. I swear… as long as you don’t slack off, you’ll live safely and peacefully on Yin Planet No. 2. Got it?”

Qi Huang followed up firmly.

“Understood!”

The ghosts shouted with high spirits.

Not wanting to waste time, Qi Huang immediately began directing Jian Yiren and the Princess Tomb’s ghost clans into action.

After three full days of labor, she finished dividing the land among several thousand ghost clan factions. She then handed out the billions of ghost tomato seeds she had collected from the Immortal Realm.

Each ghost clan received their seeds and obediently headed toward their designated territories.

Qi Huang then sent a mental transmission to Ye Xiuyun: “The rest is up to you. Make sure they plant the plants properly.”

“Where are you going then? Ye Xiuyun asked reluctantly.”

“I still have other matters to attend to. Don’t worry, I’ll come back every month or two.”

Qi Huang reassured her.

“Still, I’m worried I’m not up to the task. Some of the malevolent ghost leaders are just as strong as I am. If they start scheming…”

Ye Xiuyun explained with concern.

“Don’t forget. In everyone’s eyes, I’m your doppelgänger. They wouldn’t dare make a move.”

Qi Huang comforted her gently.

“Better safe than sorry.”

Ye Xiuyun shook her head and sighed.

Qi Huang understood. She handed over a pile of treasures. “These weapons, magical tools, and talismans are all of Immortal grade. Use them for protection. With these, ruling this star shouldn’t be a problem.”

Ye Xiuyun’s worried expression finally eased upon seeing the treasure.

“One more thing. I’m giving you a Teleportation Gate Activation Crossbow. If anything truly unmanageable happens, come find me at this location.”

Qi Huang handed her the crossbow and explained the general location of Lishui Planet.

After arranging everything, Qi Huang used the teleportation gate to return to Kaiyuan Planet.

“We can go back now, right? I’ve already settled things with Lingxi Sect.”

Cheng Hongling urged, unable to wait.

“Let’s go!”

Qi Huang assumed her beloved was just homesick and immediately activated the teleportation gate. The couple then returned home.

Back on Lishui Planet, Cheng Hongling stayed in her room most days to meditate. Occasionally, she would visit the libraries of various sects, seeking information on the Three Souls and Seven Corporeal Souls.

Qi Huang thought her beloved was focused on cultivation. Eager to help, she took the initiative to assist Cheng Hongling in increasing her power, especially since her own Divine Sense had already reached the Monarch-grade Immortal level.

Cheng Hongling didn’t refuse. Soon, she too broke through to the Master-grade Immortal level.

Qi Huang already oversaw three colonized planets and couldn’t remain on Lishui Planet indefinitely. Every few days, she had to go out for inspections, but she always made sure to inform her family beforehand.

One day, the moment Qi Huang left Lishui Planet, Cheng Hongling sprang into action. Having found no clues at home, she now had no choice but to look in other worlds, or on other star systems.
