Volume 13, Chapter 863 – That Wretch Fell for It

“This Queen already said, if you’re going to act, you must go all the way—otherwise, how could we possibly deceive that wretch?”

Though the Sea Queen had lost a fragment of her heart, weakening her aura significantly, her gaze only grew sharper. She continued, “Prime Minister Jiang, I’ll trouble you to personally make a trip and take this heart fragment to Baofeng Planet. As long as that wretch senses the fragment’s aura, she will naturally believe it.”

“She can sense it from that far away?”

Prime Minister Jiang asked in shock.

“She can. That wretch already has five fragments of the Demon Ancestor’s heart inside her. Her perception of other fragments has increased greatly… at the very least, she can pinpoint their general location.”

The Sea Queen explained.

“But…”

A troubled look crossed Prime Minister Jiang’s face.

“You’re worried about your own safety?”

A flicker of displeasure crossed the Sea Queen’s face.

“You misunderstand, Sea Queen. It is this humble servant’s honor to risk her life for Your Majesty. I’m only afraid I won’t be able to delay the Queen of the Underworld for long enough and end up ruining Your Majesty’s grand plan.”

Prime Minister Jiang quickly explained. After all, her cultivation was only at the Monarch-grade level.

“No matter. I’ll give you something else.”

The Sea Queen offered a word of reassurance, then picked up a delicate jade bottle from nearby. “This contains some Heaven-Deceiving Water. After you arrive, circle Baofeng Planet once with the heart fragment. Once the aura has sufficiently leaked out, pour this Heaven-Deceiving Water over the area, then bury the fragment in a concealed location. Once it’s done, you may return.”

“This servant doesn’t quite understand. Since this heart fragment is so important to you, and leaking its aura is enough to fool the Queen of the Underworld, why not retrieve it afterward?”

Prime Minister Jiang asked, puzzled.

“Because I don’t just want to lure that wretch away… I want her dead. So this matter of the Demon Ancestor’s heart fragment appearing on Baofeng Planet… I need not only her to know about it, but the entire ghost race of the Immortal Realm, and even the immortals themselves.”

The Sea Queen spoke through gritted teeth.

“You’re… trying to have someone else kill her?”

Prime Minister Jiang immediately understood.

“More precisely, I plan to sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight. This Heaven-Deceiving Water can only mask the heart fragment’s aura for about ten days. By then, everyone who’s meant to show up will have arrived. A devastating, world-shattering battle will be inevitable. If she, or any of the other wretches, happens to die in the chaos, it would be the best possible outcome for us.”

The Sea Queen revealed her plan.

“Your Highness is truly brilliant. No wonder you’d be willing to sacrifice a heart fragment just to set this trap.”

A look of admiration surfaced on Prime Minister Jiang’s face.

“As long as you understand. Now move quickly. Don’t delay this Queen’s grand undertaking.”

The Sea Queen commanded.

“Yes!”

Prime Minister Jiang responded with energy, then left with the heart fragment and the Heaven-Deceiving Water.

Meanwhile, Qi Huang was still trapped on Minghou Planet, unable to move. Each day, she passed the time by chatting with the cat-eared loli.

“Qianqian, there’s something I don’t understand. You all stay on this planet day in and day out, aren’t you afraid your whereabouts will be exposed? The Immortal Alliance likely wouldn’t let you off if that happened, right?”

Qi Huang asked curiously.

“Big Sis, you’re not thinking of leaking the location of Minghou Planet to the immortals so you can escape during the chaos, are you?”

A sudden hint of wariness appeared on Qianqian’s little face.

“How could I possibly? I was just genuinely curious.”

Qi Huang hurriedly defended herself.

“Do we really look that dumb to you, Big Sis? Forget the immortals… for the Demon Ancestor’s heart fragments alone, there are countless ghost clans who want us dead. Do you think we’d be stupid enough to stay in one spot and wait to die?”

Qianqian rolled her eyes at Qi Huang with disdain.

“But ever since I arrived, you really have been living on this Minghou Planet.”

Qi Huang said in confusion.

“Sure, we’ve been living here, but the position of this planet is constantly shifting, you know.”

Qianqian proudly raised her little head.

“Really?”

Qi Huang was very surprised.

“Of course. No one can guarantee their own people aren’t hiding traitors, right? That’s why Mother ordered ghost generals with Monarch Demon-level strength to use divine sense every hour to alter this planet’s orbital path. And when you combine that with teleportation gates, no one can lock down our exact location.”

Qianqian explained.

“I see now.”

Qi Huang had a sudden realization. If Monarch Demon-level ghost were involved, using divine sense to manipulate the trajectory of a planet wasn’t out of the question.

“Glad you understand. But don’t go doing anything foolish, or if Mother blames me, I won’t be able to protect you.”

Qianqian warned.

“Blame you for what?”

At that moment, the Queen of the Underworld stepped into the main hall.

Qi Huang jumped in fright and quickly retreated a few steps.

“N-n-nothing…”

Qianqian stammered, shielding Qi Huang behind her. Despite her small frame, she acted like a mother hen protecting her chick. The sight was rather comical.

“Looks like you two have been getting along.”

The Queen of the Underworld teased.

“Of course. Big Sis is very obedient.”

Qianqian quickly spoke up for Qi Huang.

Qi Huang was slightly taken aback. This little loli could be so black-bellied one moment and so kind the next, it was hard to figure her out.

“Good. Stay obedient, and this Queen won’t mind letting that Blood-Tear Mole remain yours.”

The Queen of the Underworld warned, glancing at Qi Huang before turning to Qianqian. “I need to go away for a while… might be ten days, maybe half a month. You must behave and, more importantly, keep a close eye on her.”

“You’re going away? Then won’t this be my chance?”

Qi Huang’s interest was immediately piqued.

“Where are you going, Mother?”

Qianqian asked urgently.

“Our people have received word that a fragment of the Demon Ancestor’s heart has appeared on Baofeng Planet in the Tian’e Star System. I must go see for myself.”

The Queen of the Underworld stroked Qianqian’s small head.

“Is that information reliable?”

Qianqian asked with concern.

“There’s an eighty to ninety percent chance it’s true. I already have five heart fragments inside me, so my perception of the others has been greatly heightened. I can faintly sense the aura in that direction.”

The Queen of the Underworld looked up toward the Tian’e Star System.

“Mother, can I go with you?”

Qianqian asked with reluctance.

“You’re over three hundred years old and still so clingy?”

The Queen of the Underworld lovingly tapped her nose, then added, “Qianqian is the second strongest on this Minghou Planet. If you come with me, who will guard the Blood-Tear Mole? Who will take care of our home?”

“Alright then…”

Qianqian pouted unhappily.

“That’s my good girl! Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.”

The Queen of the Underworld comforted her, then turned to Qi Huang. “As for you, stay put and behave. As long as you don’t cause trouble, I won’t lay a single finger on you.”

“Yes, yes…”

Qi Huang nodded repeatedly.

The Queen of the Underworld gave a satisfied smile, then turned and strode away with great momentum.

“Mother! Please come back soon!”

Qianqian ran to the doorway and shouted. Though she had been a zombie for hundreds of years, her mental development hadn’t advanced, so she was still like a six or seven-year-old child.

After the Queen of the Underworld left, Qianqian sat sullenly by the door, her small frame looking pitiful.

Qi Huang knew that her survival was largely thanks to this little loli’s pleading, so she took the initiative to go over and cheer her up.

Children were simple. Before long, Qianqian had forgotten her gloom and was playing happily with Qi Huang again.

“Sea Queen, that wretch the Queen of the Underworld fell for it. She’s already left the Minghou Planet. When shall we launch our attack?”

The Sea Queen’s side had received the news of the Queen of the Underworld’s departure right away. Prime Minister Jiang asked her mistress excitedly.

“Don’t rush. She just left. If we act now, she’ll have plenty of time to return and intervene.”

The Sea Queen was as composed as ever.

“Then when should we strike? Wait until she’s further away?”

Prime Minister Jiang guessed.

“No. If we do that, she’ll still be able to return in time. My plan would only be half a success. I want to wait for the outcome at Baofeng Planet first. If she dies, that’s ideal. Even if she survives, by the time she returns, it’ll be ten days or half a month. That’s more than enough time for us to act.”

The Sea Queen licked her red lips… her forked, crimson tongue a terrifying sight.

“Sea Queen, you are brilliant!”

Prime Minister Jiang praised.

After over ten days of teleportation, the Sea Queen and her team arrived at Baofeng Planet in the Tian’e Star System. She circled the area and confirmed that there was indeed a Demon Ancestor heart fragment nearby. Her icy heart almost resumed beating from excitement.

The Sea Queen immediately began searching the entire Baofeng Planet, but the results left her baffled. No matter what she tried, she couldn’t pinpoint the exact location of the heart fragment.

As time passed, more and more powerful evil spirits and immortals arrived. Not only had most of the “Three Kings and Five Queens” shown up, even members of the Immortal Alliance had come.

Not wanting to expose herself too early, the Sea Queen and her people withdrew into hiding.

Days passed, and countless immortals and evil spirits turned Baofeng Planet upside down. Still, no one could find the heart fragment. Yet none were willing to leave. After all, the aura in the air was undeniably real.

After about ten more days, the heart fragment’s aura finally leaked clearly from a nearby satellite of Baofeng Planet.

“It’s over there! It was on that satellite all along!”

“No wonder we couldn’t find it on Baofeng Planet!”

“Enough talk, let’s go! First come, first served!”

“Kill!”

In that moment, countless immortals and evil spirits surged toward the satellite without fear of death. A great battle was on the verge of erupting.
