Volume 13, Chapter 865 – What Secret Art Did She Use?
At that moment, Qianqian’s “secret art” had concluded. Her petite body trembled violently, and the blood-red vertical pupils stared at the Sea Queen with hatred. Her sharp fangs bit through her lips, letting scarlet blood flow. Her entire being radiated a wild and primal aura, her usual adorable temperament had completely vanished.
BOOM…
The Sea Queen’s body suddenly swelled. Her humanoid form quickly regressed, revealing a colossal black serpent, stretching over a hundred zhang long. The massive serpentine body thrashed and surged forward, obliterating everything in its path, a force of utter destruction.
“Princess, run!”
Duan Qing shouted in panic, her voice urgent. Against such a monstrous form, she was utterly powerless.
“Run? Where could I possibly run to?”
The black serpent opened her maw, speaking human language, and charged straight toward Qi Huang.
“Relax. Have you ever seen a cat run from a snake?”
Qianqian slowly lowered her body. Her tiny form rapidly expanded, and soon, the enormous form of the Nine Nether Demon Cat appeared like a small mountain. Every hair on her body stood on end, and her sharp claws dug into the ground. With a powerful push of her limbs, she lunged at the black serpent.
Qi Huang didn’t intervene. She knew Qianqian was avenging her mother. Unless she was on the brink of defeat, she would definitely not want anyone’s help.
Although Qianqian’s body was enormous, it was still dwarfed by the hundred-zhang-long python. However, she had the advantage of speed, swift as lightning. After all, cats were said to be seven times faster than snakes, though that was just an exaggeration.
Qianqian dodged a sweeping strike of the serpent’s tail, then climbed onto the massive snake’s body. She bared her claws and fangs and tore into it with maddened fury. “Give me back my mother’s life!”
ZZZHHHH—ZZZHHHH—!
Sparks flew across the snake’s scales. The ear-piercing screech of claws scraping against armor made one’s scalp go numb.
Though Qianqian’s attacks were fierce, her strength was ultimately a bit lacking. She could only leave faint scratches on the thick scales.
The Sea Queen twisted and writhed furiously, but couldn’t shake Yaoyao off. Humiliated and enraged, she flared her scales upright like blades and launched them outward with explosive force.
SWISH SWISH—
The terrifying sound of air being shredded rang out. Qianqian was a beat too slow in evading and was slashed along both sides of her abdomen, leaving two massive gashes. Yet she still didn’t let go. Instead, she drove her sharp claws into the Sea Queen’s unscaled flesh and tore at it like a mad beast.
“Courting death!”
Roaring in pain, the Sea Queen tensed every muscle in her body. From the wounds beneath her flesh, several tendon-like blue cords, thick as arms, shot out and coiled tightly around the unsuspecting Qianqian. Then, they began to constrict.
CRACK—SPLINTER—SNAP—
Qianqian flailed her limbs desperately, but she couldn’t shake off the unyielding serpent tendons. Her body twisted unnaturally as bones cracked one after another under the immense pressure.

“Hahaha! This Empress is about to ascend into a dragon! You think a yellow-furred brat like you can break free of dragon tendons? Die!”
The Sea Queen cackled, tightening the grip. The tendons began to draw out Qianqian’s Yin energy, while faint outlines of dragon horns emerged on the Sea Queen’s head. Her limbs strained beneath her serpent skin, on the verge of breaking free.
PUH!
Qianqian spat out a mouthful of dark blood. Looking toward Qi Huang’s position, she gasped weakly, “Sister… run…!”
“Run? With what?”
The Sea Queen laughed wildly and lunged toward Qi Huang.
“Sister! Run!”
Qianqian screamed hysterically. She endured the pain and bit down on one of the serpent tendons, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t tear it. Though the difference between their strength levels was only two or three layers, it still spanned an entire minor realm.
‘Is it over? Then let me avenge you.’
Qi Huang gave a calm smile. Suddenly, her Boundless Demonic Hair flared behind her head, transforming into countless strands of black lightning that shot toward the Sea Queen. Her divine sense had now reached the late Earth Immortal stage. Naturally, the speed and power of the Boundless Demonic Hair had grown immensely.
Before the Sea Queen could react, her colossal serpent body had already been bound by the black tendrils. She instinctively struggled, but couldn’t break free… she looked just like Qianqian wrapped up earlier.
“This is… Boundless Demonic Hair?”
The Sea Queen quickly realized it. As a descendant of Lu Yao, she naturally knew of its existence.
“Haha! What a pleasant surprise!”
She burst into laughter, utterly unaware of how serious the situation was.
“Is that so?”
Qi Huang sneered. With a thought, the Boundless Demonic Hair constricted sharply, slicing into the Sea Queen like blades. Her impenetrable scales failed to provide any defense at all.
“How can this be?”
The Sea Queen thrashed wildly, but the Boundless Demonic Hair continued its invasion, cutting into her flesh like maggots clinging to bone. Her voice finally began to tremble.
Qianqian stared at Qi Huang, dumbfounded. She even forgot to struggle.
Qi Huang, not wanting to drag this out, tightened the Boundless Demonic Hair even more.

SLASH—SQUELCH—SPLAT—
The Sea Queen’s massive serpent body was quickly sliced into chunks of bloody flesh that rained down.
“Impossible… Your Boundless Demonic Hair is this terrifying… How did they even capture you…?”
The Sea Queen’s voice came from her nearly-intact snake head, filled with disbelief.
“Captured? Who said I was captured? I’m just here… experiencing life.”
Qi Huang lied with a straight face. No way she was going to admit she had been overpowered.
Qianqian came to her senses and pounced forward, biting down on the Sea Queen’s head and drinking deeply.
“Give me back my mother! Give her back to me!”
As she sucked, she sobbed. Clearly, she wasn’t doing this to gain strength, but purely for vengeance.
As time passed, Qianqian’s wounds began to heal, while the Sea Queen fell completely silent.
“Enough, she’s got no more Yin energy left.”
Qi Huang reminded her gently.
Unwilling, Qianqian finally let go. She returned to her little girl form and threw herself into Qi Huang’s arms, wailing, “Wuuu… Sister… Mother is dead… and… and it’s all my fault!”
“What? Your fault?”
Qi Huang gently stroked her head, startled.
“It was… Aunt Hong… Aunt Hong leaked the information… I shouldn’t have lied to Mother… Wuuu…”
Qianqian then recounted the events. While draining the Sea Queen’s blood, she had absorbed her memories and now knew the truth.
“That traitor!”
Nearby, Duan Qing, covered in wounds, cursed furiously.
“Sigh…”
Qi Huang, however, only sighed. Even she would’ve made the same choice in that situation.

“Your Highness, I’ll go drag that traitor out right now!”
Duan Qing saluted and dashed off.
Qi Huang looked up and saw that the entire Minghou Planet was in chaos. Both factions were locked in wild battle across sky and land, and not a single spot was untouched.
“Qianqian, stop crying. Your troops are still fighting. Hurry and spread the news of the Sea Queen’s death. Without their leader, the enemy will collapse.”
Qi Huang urged her quickly.
Realizing the urgency, Qianqian wiped her tears and flew into the sky holding the Sea Queen’s severed head. In her childish voice, she shouted, “Ghost clan of the Sea Queen Planet! Hear me! Your Sea Queen is dead! Surrender now!”
Hearing this, the enemy ghosts instantly lost all will to fight. Many died; the rest fled.
Though still grieving, Qianqian gritted her teeth and began organizing the battlefield cleanup.
Qi Huang hesitated, then decided to stay behind. She couldn’t rest easy leaving this kind-hearted cat-eared girl alone. Besides, she was curious about that secret art.
“Let me out! Hurry and let me out! I have something to tell you!”
At that moment, Cheng Hongling’s mental transmission came again.
Now that no threat remained on the planet, Qi Huang quietly went to a secluded spot and released her “wife”.
“You…!”
Regaining her freedom, Cheng Hongling was livid and immediately raised a hand as if to flick Qi Huang’s forehead.
“I’m sorry, my lady, I was wrong!”
Qi Huang pleaded at once.
Cheng Hongling hesitated, then lowered her hand. She looked around. “Where are we?”
Qi Huang explained everything that had happened while she was imprisoned. As she spoke, her expression turned wary again, fearing Cheng Hongling would blow up.
“This was such a serious matter, and you didn’t tell me? You even locked me in your ring?! Are you trying to kill me from anger?!”
Cheng Hongling trembled with rage.
“I’m sorry… Their strength was too overwhelming. I didn’t dare let you out. I didn’t want you to worry either.”

Qi Huang mumbled.
“Sigh…”
Cheng Hongling sighed, then asked seriously, “Do you know what being a couple means? Sharing blessings and hardships. That’s what a real couple does.”
“I know. But I also know what it means to be a man. To be a husband.”
Qi Huang replied solemnly.
Cheng Hongling opened her mouth, then swallowed her words. She couldn’t bring herself to keep scolding her. Her tone softened. “You’re not hurt, are you?”
“No. At the crucial moment, Qianqian used some unknown secret art. Her power surged, and I benefited from it too. My divine sense jumped from early Monarch Immortal to late Earth Immortal.”
Qi Huang detailed the event.
“Then my power must’ve surged because of her too?”
Cheng Hongling said in shock.
“Your power increased too?”
Qi Huang asked in surprise.
“Yes! I went from early Master Immortal to late Kinship Immortal. That’s what I wanted to tell you. Looks like it was all thanks to Qianqian.”
Cheng Hongling analyzed, her beautiful face turning serious again. “What kind of secret art could be that exaggerated? It made both of us grow so much in strength?”
“If we could get her help regularly, wouldn’t that be like giving wings to a tiger?”
Qi Huang’s eyes lit up.
“You’re too naive. If she could use that secret art freely, she’d already be invincible.”
Cheng Hongling gave her a look.
“Let’s not jump to conclusions. We can just ask her. Maybe the secret art only requires certain conditions?”
Qi Huang said, full of hope.
