Volume 14, Chapter 880 – She Truly Is a Little Vixen

Qi Huang had already experienced the weight of those sword qis earlier, so she didn’t try to move several corpses at once. Instead, she first shifted the Queen of the Underworld’s body. Even so, she found it immensely strenuous.

“What is going on? Even if a single sword qi weighs as much as ten thousand star systems, it still shouldn’t be this hard to move!”

No matter how she thought about it, Qi Huang couldn’t figure it out. She extended her divine sense to examine the Queen of the Underworld’s body and was immediately stunned. Inside, sword qi crisscrossed densely… countless of them, numbering in the tens of thousands.

‘Damn that old bastard, the Ziji Immortal Emperor did this on purpose for sure.’

Qi Huang cursed internally, then turned to glare at the Ziji Immortal Emperor outside the formation, her eyes blazing with fury. She wanted nothing more than to rush over and butcher him on the spot. But reason held her back, because she didn’t know whether An Xuan was friend or foe, she couldn’t take sides recklessly.

“Big sister, can you return my mother to me? Please, I beg you!”

Just then, a small zombie ran over and knelt, pleading tearfully. He wore tattered clothes, with missing limbs… who knew what kind of suffering he’d endured just to make it here.

Qi Huang glanced around and saw that a few ghost clans who weren’t ready to give up their kin were desperately charging toward her, clearly trying to save their loved ones.

“All ghost clans inside the formation, listen up! Just find a way to escape for now. Once I’m out, I’ll let you come and reclaim your kin. Ghost clans don’t lie to ghost clans!”

Qi Huang immediately raised her voice and made this promise. She didn’t want to be surrounded by enemies on all sides at a time like this.

“Really? That’s great!”

The ghost clans cheered, visibly relieved, and began surging toward the outer edges.

“Run? No one’s running today! Every last one of you will be hung on the wall!”

“Hand over those fiendish creatures, and this Immortal Emperor will leave you with a whole corpse.”

At that moment, the Wanhe and Qiufa Immortal Emperors came charging toward Qi Huang.

“Hmph! Anyone thinking of hanging me today will be the one hanging instead, and you two aren’t exceptions!”

Qi Huang narrowed her bright eyes slightly, and a surge of her immense divine sense crushed forward. The only ones she feared were Ziji Immortal Emperor and An Xuan. These two? They were nothing but street rats.

THUD!

The two Immortal Emperors froze midair, then plummeted ungracefully to the ground. Despite trying to stay upright, they landed flat on their backs, kicking up clouds of dust.

“Heavenly Demon… Mid-stage Heavenly Demon… Again? How is this even possible?”

Immortal Emperor Qiufa trembled in the crater he’d formed. The Immortal Alliance had been exterminating fiendish entities for hundreds of thousands of years, there shouldn’t be such powerful ones left. And now, two mid-stage Heavenly Demons had appeared in one day?

“Weren’t you two just full of arrogance earlier? Aren’t you surprised now?”

Qi Huang approached menacingly. She had no reason to spare these lapdogs of the Heavenly Dao.

“Two mid-stage Heavenly Demons appearing at once… What in the heavens has the Immortal Alliance been exterminating all this time? This… this is the end of me!”

Wanhe Immortal Emperor staggered to his knees, barely able to hold himself up. He had already taken internal injuries from An Xuan’s earlier strike and wasn’t in peak form.

“Speak. Do you want to die first and be hung up later, or be hung up while still alive?”

Qi Huang asked, tone as gentle as if she were offering tea.

“No, wait… This can’t be… I clearly sprayed myself with Heaven-Deceiving Water… Even if you’re mid-stage Heavenly Demon… there’s no way your divine sense should’ve been able to suppress me!”

Qiufa struggled in disbelief.

“As if I don’t have Heaven-Deceiving Water myself! This is madness! No, wait… Heaven-Mending Crystal! It must be that! I’ve heard those who consume it can completely ignore Heaven-Deceiving Water’s concealment effect!”

Wanhe suddenly understood.

“Forget that! Think of something fast! I just used my Genesis Space and I’m completely drained!”

Qiufa was panicking.

“You think I didn’t get kicked by that woman in black just now? My internal organs are pulp. If I weren’t an immortal, I’d be dead at your feet already!”

Wanhe groaned through gritted teeth.

“In front of this fairy…”

Qi Huang had originally wanted to say “this immortal”, but just then, the male and female souls within her sea of consciousness abruptly switched. She reverted to her female persona, and her tone shifted naturally: “In front of this fairy, you dare scheme aloud? You looking down on me?”

“Fairy? You reek of yin energy and still dare call yourself a fairy? You shameless little whore.”

Immortal Emperor Qiufa sneered with clenched teeth.

“Not letting me be a fairy? Then you shouldn’t be an emperor either.”

Qi Huang’s voice turned honeyed, and just like that, she delivered a death sentence.

“Haha! Are you flirting now? Or seducing? You damn—”

Before he could finish, his vision swirled. A waft of fragrance struck his nose, and the world spun. In the next moment, he barely glimpsed his own headless body collapsing like a rag doll.

Qiufa’s Life Soul fled his body and immediately tried to escape, but Qi Huang’s divine sense had turned the surroundings into a swamp. He couldn’t move an inch.

Qi Huang turned, her captivating eyes landing on Wanhe.

“You… You can’t kill me! I’m an Immortal Alliance elder! The Alliance’s army is on its way! If you kill me, you won’t escape even with wings!”

Wanhe tried to threaten her, his tone all bark and no bite.

“Hehe~ Are you flirting too?”

Qi Huang gave a coquettish smile.

Wanhe turned pale, like he’d seen a ghost. He shouted toward the formation’s edge: “Ziji, brother, help me!”

Ziji Immortal Emperor trembled slightly, but didn’t move. He had long noticed the situation at the gate and had considered going to the rescue. But in the end, he rationally gave up for two reasons: First, even if he tried, there was no guarantee he’d succeed. Second, the heavenly tribulation in the sky was about to strike. If he gave up halfway, he’d lose the best chance to slay the black-skirted fiend. Then he’d be caught between two powerful enemies and die a pointless death.

So, he gritted his teeth and kept maintaining the sword array, waiting for the tribulation to fall and kill the black-skirted woman before dealing with the “ghost-haired girl”. That was the classic strategy: defeat them one by one.

Qi Huang wouldn’t give him that chance. Her figure vanished again, and the next instant, Wanhe’s head dropped from his shoulders. His Life Soul was forcibly expelled.

With a single thought, Qi Huang compressed her divine sense and crushed both souls into dust.

Just like that, two Immortal Emperors perished. They hadn’t been this weak, earlier exhaustion had doomed them.

Qi Huang didn’t dare delay. She continued dragging the Queen of the Underworld’s body toward her storage ring. Several Immortal soldiers tried to stop her, but she dispatched them effortlessly.

Only after using every ounce of strength did she manage to get the Queen’s body into the ring. But before she could even celebrate, cracks formed along the inner wall of the ring… signs of overload.

CRACK!

With a sharp sound, the ring shattered and the Queen’s body fell back out.

“This is so infuriating! Am I supposed to carry them and run?”

Qi Huang stamped her foot in frustration. Her cultivation was only in the Divine Realm. How was she supposed to carry these five corpses and flee?

“What’s the situation outside?”

Just then, a voice transmitted directly into her mind, it was Cheng Hongling.

“Dear husband, they’ve made me so mad…”

Qi Huang immediately found someone to vent to and began pouring out her grievances. “I can’t put them in my ring. Do I carry them on my back? I’m just a weak little girl. I don’t have that kind of strength!”

Cheng Hongling could tell from Qi Huang’s tone that her female persona had taken over again. After a moment of thought, she gently replied: “Darling, you have three options. First, destroy the three queens’ bodies and take only the heart shards and Assimilation Qi.”

“No way! I promised their daughters I’d return their mothers’ remains in exchange for those heart shards. I can’t break my word!”

Qi Huang quickly objected.

“Then try the second option: kill Ziji Immortal Emperor or destroy his Imperial Weapon. That’ll make the sword qi inside their bodies disperse naturally. With An Xuan’s help, it shouldn’t be too hard.”

Cheng Hongling offered.

“But I don’t even know if An Xuan is friend or foe. Right now, they’re in a delicate balance. If I break that, I might end up in the crossfire.”

Qi Huang frowned and shook her head.

“Then use the last method: open a teleportation gate and send the five corpses through it.”

Cheng Hongling offered the final solution.

Qi Huang’s eyes lit up. “Dear, you’re brilliant! That’s the one!”

“Let me out then, I’ll guard the other end of the gate in case anything goes wrong.”

“Alright.”

Seeing no threats nearby, Qi Huang released Cheng Hongling and took out the trigger crossbow and talisman paper to activate a teleportation gate.

“An Xuan, huh… I can’t believe she’s still alive after all these years. But friend or foe? Who knows.”

Cheng Hongling watched An Xuan from afar with a sigh.

“That’s the problem… I just don’t know.”

Qi Huang shook her head helplessly.

Just then, An Xuan called out, “Hurry and leave! I’ll hold off Ziji Immortal Emperor!”

Qi Huang and Cheng Hongling exchanged glances. Suspicion still lingered. They couldn’t be sure she was telling the truth.

“Darling, I’ll go guard the other side. Be careful.”

Cheng Hongling instructed gently, then walked through the gate with graceful steps.

With her female persona in control, Qi Huang was even more timid. She quickly used her divine sense to move the five corpses through the gate.

It took her a full fifteen minutes. By then, she was drenched in sweat and pale from exhaustion.

RUMBLE…

The tribulation clouds above finally completed their formation. Strands of purple lightning slithered inside like dragons in a cage, roaring and crackling… ready to strike.

Qi Huang looked at the lone figure of An Xuan inside the sword array, remembering scenes from her dream. For a moment, she didn’t know what to do.

“Hurry up and go! Don’t just stand there! If I can protect the master’s legacy, dying is worth it.”

An Xuan urged again, her tone eerily calm.

Qi Huang sighed, she couldn’t be cold-hearted. Her Boundless Demonic Hair exploded forth again, tearing through the barrier like dry leaves, heading straight for Ziji Immortal Emperor.

He was startled, instantly summoning his sword to rotate around him at high speed, forming a nearly airtight barrier of interwoven sword energy.

“Sigh. Such a naïve girl. Too quick to trust. She’ll never accomplish anything.”

An Xuan shook her head, visibly disappointed.

But suddenly, something unexpected happened… the Boundless Demonic Hair didn’t strike Ziji Immortal Emperor. It curved, swept up the Celestial bone above the formation, and retreated.

Ziji Immortal Emperor had countered nothing. He stood frozen, confused.

Qi Huang pulled the bones close and scattered Heaven-Deceiving Water over them from her ring.

At that moment, the thunder overhead weakened. The terrifying bolts of lightning visibly faded.

“The formation’s broken! The formation’s broken! Everyone run!”

The fiendish specters seized the opportunity and charged for the breach.

Qi Huang tucked the Celestial bone into her ring and stepped through the teleportation gate.

“She just left like that? Aren’t you two on the same side?”

Ziji Immortal Emperor stared at An Xuan in disbelief. He’d braced for a pincer attack, but the veiled “female fiend” just… fled.

An Xuan wasn’t stupid. She quickly understood: “It’s our first meeting. There’s no way that little vixen would fully trust me. She just took the Celestial bone to repay me with a favor and give herself more time to escape. A win-win.”

“I take it back. She really is a cunning little vixen.”

An Xuan cursed softly, though her eyes gleamed with satisfaction. She kept expanding her Assimilation Domain, battering the sword array.

Ziji Immortal Emperor didn’t dare hold back. He poured all his power into the array to resist the terrifying domain, too distracted to care about the fleeing fiends.

Qi Huang, now beyond the gate, found herself in another corner of the cosmos. Cheng Hongling was already there, guarding the five corpses.

“Are you hurt?”

Cheng Hongling came over and checked her carefully.

“No… Thank you for worrying about me…”

Qi Huang blushed, speaking shyly.

“Good.”

Cheng Hongling let out a breath of relief, then gently wiped her forehead with a handkerchief. “Darling, I’ve checked. The sword qi inside these corpses has already dissipated. We’re far from Ziji planet’s Feng Shui site, so the bodies have lost the support of the Imperial Weapon.”

“That’s great! Then they must be back to normal weight now, right?”

Qi Huang asked, excited.

“Yes. Let’s get out of here. We’re still too close to Ziji Planet. It’s not safe.”

Cheng Hongling suggested urgently.

“Let’s wait a bit.”

Qi Huang didn’t leave right away. Instead, she extended her divine sense toward a small purple dot in the distance; the very Ziji Planet she had just escaped from.
