Volume 14, Chapter 915 – Crisis
“What? A living person? Haha, it’s been so long since I’ve tasted human blood!”
“Leave me a bit! If not blood, then at least some meat!”
“It’s just some old geezer? Doesn’t matter, there’s still marrow in those bones.”
Low-level evil spirits were never known for intelligence. Coupled with having been deprived of human blood for so long, the moment they caught wind of a living soul, they surged toward Lu Hong like a pack of hungry wolves. Not a single one stopped to think—how could a mere mortal suddenly appear on this planet?
Lu Hong’s hunched body trembled slightly, not from fear, but simply from age. Yet within his body, his divine sense surged forth like a flood beast, howling as it swept across the land. Everything in its path, be it fiend or innocent blade of grass, was annihilated, decomposing into powder and drifting away with the wind.
His divine sense did not stop there. It continued expanding in all directions. The evil spirits hidden across the small town hadn’t even had time to react before being ruthlessly wiped away. In the end, only one female ghost remained, cowering and trembling in the shadows.
Lu Hong’s divine sense reached out, dragging the female ghost toward him.
“Immortal master, spare me! Immortal master, please spare me!”
She stammered in terror, her soul form twitching uncontrollably under the pressure of fear.
“I ask, you answer.”
Lu Hong spoke with drooping eyelids, his entire being exuding a decaying aura that sent terror through even the fiends.
“Ask away, immortal master…”
The ghost quickly submitted.
“Three years ago, why did this star suddenly veer off its original trajectory and move to this location? Who did it?”
Lu Hong posed the first question, hoping to confirm whether the direction he’d been pursuing was correct.
The ghost hesitated briefly, then stammered, “Reporting to immortal master… it… it was a woman who did it.”
“A woman? What kind of woman? What’s her name?”
Lu Hong frowned slightly.
“This…”
The ghost froze entirely in hesitation. She feared the ruthless man before her, but she was also terrified of Qi Huang.
“Hm?”
A cold gleam flashed through Lu Hong’s eyes. His divine sense pressed down harder, twisting her soul into a distorted shape.
“Ahhh—immortal master! Please, spare me! I’ll talk! I’ll talk! It was a woman who called herself the National Preceptor!”

In agonizing pain, she confessed. At the edge of life and death, she had no choice.
“National Preceptor? From Minghou Planet, is she?”
Lu Hong’s aged eyes sharpened.
“I don’t know… She just calls herself National Preceptor. Everyone calls her that!”
The ghost replied with nothing held back.
“She always wears a veil? And there’s a doppelgänger mark on her forehead? Constantly followed by a main body that looks identical?”
Lu Hong confirmed.
“Yes! Yes! I’ve seen her portrait before!”
The ghost nodded frantically.
“Hmph! So she’s hiding here after all.”
Lu Hong let out a cold snort, then continued asking, “Where is she now?”
“I don’t know…”
The ghost shook her head hurriedly.
“You don’t know?”
Lu Hong’s divine sense flared again in displeasure.
“Spare me, immortal master! I’m just a weak ghost, unqualified to even get near her! All I know is, every few months she comes to Yin Planet No. 72 to check on the ghost tomatoes.”
The ghost sobbed as she explained.
“She had you grow those ghost tomatoes?”
Lu Hong asked curiously.
She nodded like a pecking chicken.
“Very well. You may die now.”
Lu Hong’s divine sense exerted a bit of force. Her soul form was instantly obliterated. He didn’t plan to spare a single evil spirit.

After a moment of contemplation, Lu Hong shuffled into the nearby forest, planning to find a hiding place and lie in wait. Though a single thought from him could wipe out every fiend on this planet, that would only alert the enemy.
The news that a senior elder of the Immortal Alliance had given his life to enter the Cultivation Realm and pursue the leader of the fiends spread quickly through the Immortal Realm.
Qi Huang and Cheng Hongling had been hunting fiends when they heard the news. Shocked, they hurried back to the Cultivation Realm.
In the courtyard of the Cheng family of the Honghua Sect, Qi Huang called over Feng Jiu’an and Fang Yuan for an urgent discussion. She had no intention of sitting around waiting for death.
“I called the two of you here today for something important. Our original plan was to transfer all the ghosts from the Immortal Realm into the Cultivation Realm within three years. That way, the Celestials would naturally take action against the Immortal Alliance. But who could’ve predicted that plans never keep up with changes? That Grand Elder from the Immortal Alliance has already entered the Cultivation Realm. His goal is to hunt us down.”
Qi Huang laid out the situation.
“That’s impossible! Even if his strength has declined, he’s still an immortal. How could he enter the Cultivation Realm?”
Fang Yuan was deeply shocked.
“Indeed. Unless he can use Assimilation Qi like you two, it should be impossible. The Celestials wouldn’t allow it.”
Feng Jiu’an agreed, then added, “Unless Lu Hong was willing to sacrifice himself, letting his cultivation fall below the Immortal Realm level. Then he could freely enter and exit the Cultivation Realm.”
“Sacrifice? What do you mean?”
Fang Yuan asked, puzzled.
“I’ve said it before; Lu Hong’s nearing his end. He’s been relying on True Qi and medicine to prolong his life. Once his cultivation drops below the Immortal Realm, he’ll no longer be able to suppress aging and will quickly perish. That’s what I mean by ‘sacrifice’.”
Feng Jiu’an explained in detail.
“You guessed right. That’s exactly what happened.”
Qi Huang smiled bitterly.
“I didn’t think he had such resolve. I really underestimated him.”
Feng Jiu’an’s face filled with surprise.
“Actually, it makes sense. The Celestials’ deadline for the mission is nearing. He has no other choice. If he chooses to cling to life, the Immortal Alliance will suffer, and he’ll become the target of universal criticism. His descendants’ futures would be ruined because of him.”
Cheng Hongling saw things clearly.
“That’s right. So let’s discuss, how do we deal with this man?”
Qi Huang got straight to the point.

“How much do you actually know about Lu Hong?”
Cheng Hongling asked Feng Jiu’an and Fang Yuan. As the saying goes, know your enemy to win a hundred battles.
“Lu Hong, Grand Elder of the Immortal Alliance, former Alliance Master. At his peak, he was at the eighth layer of the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, undefeated throughout the Immortal Realm. But as his body aged, his cultivation fell to the Human Immortal Realm.”
Feng Jiu’an gave a brief profile, then shifted tone: “But don’t get too happy yet. One’s soul strength doesn’t decline with the body. His divine sense is still at the eighth layer of the Heavenly Tribulation Realm.”
“Hmph. That’s his real trump card, the reason he dares to enter the Cultivation Realm alone to hunt us.”
Qi Huang sneered.
“Can we take him?”
Cheng Hongling asked tentatively.
“Sure, give me ten more years and I’ll beat him till he calls me ‘mom’.”
Qi Huang chuckled at herself.
“So that’s a no.”
Cheng Hongling shot her down without hesitation.
“With divine sense at the eighth layer, even if we all team up, we’re no match.”
Feng Jiu’an admitted openly.
“Then there’s only one path left. I’ll consume the remaining twenty-four pieces of the Demon Ancestor’s heart, then use your blood-tear blessing to amplify my power. It’s the only way to boost strength quickly.”
Cheng Hongling spoke with firm resolve.
“I agree!”
An Xuan immediately echoed her support. She was more than happy for both her master and her master’s doppelgänger to become zombies.
“No. You can’t control all twenty-four heart pieces. I absolutely oppose this.”
Qi Huang shook her head violently.
“If I can’t suppress it, then I won’t. Better to turn into a zombie than die completely.”
Cheng Hongling declared her stance.

“If that’s the case, then why should you be the one to fuse them? I can do it too!”
Qi Huang argued.
“Enough! You don’t need to panic. Yes, that guy entered the Cultivation Realm, but this realm is vast. How is he going to find us? Plus, his aging will accelerate… he’ll die soon. Then his soul will be wiped out by Heaven’s Will.”
An Xuan quickly tried to calm them.
“But the problem is, we have too many ghost tomato gardens in this realm. There’s nowhere to hide. What if he stumbles across one?”
Qi Huang voiced her concern.
“Then why not move all the gardens here? That shouldn’t be too difficult for you, right?”
Feng Jiu’an suggested.
“Hmm, that’s actually a good idea. I’d been thinking of doing that anyway. Scattering them everywhere really is hard to manage.”
Qi Huang considered it carefully.
“Can I ask a question?”
Fang Yuan finally spoke up: “In the Cultivation Realm, no one can move entire planets, right?”
“Of course. The most powerful cultivators are only in the Heavenly Tribulation Realm. At most they can move mountains or fill seas.”
Qi Huang replied.
“Then whatever you do, don’t move the stars! That could get us marked by the Celestial Realm.”
Fang Yuan warned urgently.
Qi Huang and Cheng Hongling exchanged a glance, puzzled.
“Why?” they asked.
“You’ve probably never heard of the Universal Star Chart, have you? It’s a divine artifact the Heavenly Court uses to monitor all the worlds. From it, they can see the trajectory of every planet. If a planet deviates from its expected orbit, they’ll immediately suspect us, because no one in this realm can do that.”
Fang Yuan explained the reason.
Qi Huang froze for a moment, then asked cautiously, “But I already moved the gardens before… Do you think they’ve already marked me?”
