Volume 14, Chapter 921 – Exhausting All Strength to Slay Lu Hong’s Body
Qi Huang dared not delay. With a mere thought, the Heavenly Stele War Armor wrapped around her body.
In the blink of an eye, Lu Hong had already charged near. This time, he did not waste a single word—he attacked directly.
“You’re out of time!”
Lu Hong roared, and from within his emaciated body erupted a terrifying tidal wave of Divine Sense, sweeping toward Qi Huang with overwhelming force.
CRACK! CRACK!
A series of crisp shattering sounds echoed across the heavens. Wherever that Divine Sense swept past, every inch of space shattered like struck glass, revealing glimpses of the Immortal Realm beyond.
“You’re breaking the spatial barriers like this, aren’t you afraid of punishment from the Heavenly Court?”
Qi Huang asked calmly. She wore the Heavenly Stele War Armor and had sprinkled herself with Heaven-Deceiving Water; she was effectively invisible, so she ignored him entirely.
“At death’s door and still clinging to hope? Let me tell you the truth. Heaven itself has given permission. As long as I can kill you abominations, damaging a few spatial barriers is no big deal.”
Lu Hong closed in. A golden ruler suddenly appeared in the void, expanding rapidly until it spanned a thousand miles.
“As a cultivator, you side with evil spirits. A traitor like you deserves to die under the Heavenly Law Ruler!”
Lu Hong bellowed, controlling the ruler as it came crashing down toward Qi Huang. The body of the ruler absorbed surrounding metal-element spiritual energy, and its immense gravitational pull made it impossible to escape its lock.
Qi Huang tried to dodge, but found herself immobilized. Her body was being forcibly drawn toward the Heavenly Law Ruler.
‘It’s all up to you now.’
Qi Huang murmured to the armor on her body.
At that moment, a translucent barrier expanded outward from the war armor, enveloping her in its faint glow.
CRACK! CRACK!
The two forces collided violently. Even the mighty Heavenly Law Ruler couldn’t penetrate the defense.

“The remnant might of a Celestial!”
Lu Hong’s expression changed. He quickly pressed his fingers together, dripping a line of blood essence onto the ruler. Instantly, a radiant figure rose from the ground, grasped the ruler, and slammed it down with force.
CRACK!
The protective barrier of the Heavenly Stele War Armor shattered under the repeated blows.
“Ha! Just a remnant of Celestial might—how could it compare to my complete Celestial bloodline?”
Lu Hong laughed triumphantly. The golden figure continued to drive the ruler downward toward Qi Huang.
The ruler that spanned the heavens descended like a collapsing sky, crushing down upon the tiny figure of Qi Huang.
Qi Huang felt her head grow heavy as her body plummeted downward. The world spun wildly around her, and along the way, she crashed through several planets before finally managing to steady herself with her Divine Sense.
“Ugh!”
A mouthful of blood spurted from her lips. Despite the armor’s protection, her frail body could not withstand such a collision.
Qi Huang dared not hesitate. She summoned the Boundless Demonic Hair, which surged outward, threading through the gaps between her body and armor, filling every crevice and forming a soft layer to absorb shocks.
“Hiding inside your shell—does that help?”
Lu Hong clung to her like a maggot to bone, controlling the terrifying ruler once more and striking down.
BOOM!
Qi Huang had just regained her footing when the blow sent her flying again. She crashed into another planet. Thanks to the Boundless Demonic Hair, her injuries were much lighter this time, but the armor was reaching its limit.
CRACK! CRACK!
The sound of breaking resounded in Qi Huang’s ears like a thunderclap.

“Speak! Where have you hidden those other heretics? Be honest, and perhaps I’ll let you live a moment longer.”
Lu Hong demanded, having noticed that the two nearby stars were now empty.
Qi Huang, of course, would not surrender so easily. Seeing her armor crumble, she quickly racked her brain for a countermeasure.
“Since you won’t talk, I’ll ask your soul directly.”
Without hesitation, Lu Hong lashed the ruler down again.
BOOM!
This time, the Heavenly Stele War Armor exploded completely. The planet behind Qi Huang also detonated, scattering endless dust into the void until the entire region was engulfed in shadow.
Lu Hong unleashed his Divine Sense to search the dust. He saw fragments of the shattered armor, but no trace of Qi Huang’s remains.
“Hm?”
He frowned, locking his Divine Sense onto each speck of dust, seeking the slightest clue.
“So, you’re hiding inside a spatial ring!”
Lu Hong’s Divine Sense was exceptionally keen. He soon located an inconspicuous spatial ring among the debris.
“You’ve got quite a few shells, haven’t you? But what good will that do?”
His face twisted in disdain as the Heavenly Law Ruler swept across, easily crushing the ring to dust. Yet to his surprise, inside it was another ring.
“You know you’re doomed. Why bother struggling?”
Lu Hong paused briefly, then sneered. The ruler shattered another ring, only to reveal yet another.
“A nesting doll, are we?”

Lu Hong’s face grew contorted. He roared, “Then I’ll crush them all at once!”
The colossal golden figure beside him shrank rapidly, seized the ring in its hand, and clenched tightly. The power was so immense that even the space within its palm began to distort.
CRACK… CRACK…
Under the terrifying pressure, the rings shattered one by one like paper shells—until his fingers brushed against something hard.
“What’s this?”
Lu Hong extended his Divine Sense, and discovered a pure white bone fragment. It was the same Celestial Bone once used by Wanhe Immortal Emperor in Ziji City to fight An Xuan. The moment it appeared, it would trigger a Heavenly Tribulation.
Indeed, as soon as it emerged, a faint yet overwhelming pressure enveloped the entire region.
“No! A Heavenly Tribulation!”
Lu Hong completely panicked. Though the heavenly might was faint, for immortals or powerful cultivators it was trivial… but his body was weakened beyond defense. Under that divine pressure, he collapsed to his knees.
“Die!”
Qi Huang’s figure flashed out from the ring. Wielding the Cicada Wing Sword, she darted toward Lu Hong. Her current body was stronger than his, allowing her barely enough strength to move. This was her only chance to counterattack.
SHIIING!
A streak of blue light flickered past. Lu Hong’s shriveled head fell from his shoulders, his eyes still full of confusion and disbelief.
Qi Huang did not linger. She fled madly in a random direction. The Heavenly Tribulation was about to descend; staying would mean certain death… and whether it would completely destroy Lu Hong was uncertain.
She had barely escaped when the Universal Communication Tube inside her ring chimed. She answered quickly.
“Are you in danger? I just felt sudden pain all over!”
Cheng Hongling’s voice came through the ring.

“No, of course not.”
Qi Huang denied instantly. She had witnessed Lu Hong’s terrifying power and didn’t want Cheng Hongling dragged into it—or worried.
“Danger or not, come back quickly. I’ve already fused twenty-five heart fragments. If Lu Hong dares come again, I’ll make sure he never leaves.”
Cheng Hongling’s confident tone came through.
“Really, my lady?”
Qi Huang nearly burst into tears. She confessed, “To be honest, that old bastard was just chasing me down. I’ve already destroyed his physical body.”
“Didn’t you just say you weren’t in danger?”
Cheng Hongling teased gently, then added softly, “Hurry back. That old man’s greatest strength is his soul. Killing his body is just scratching an itch.”
“All right!”
Qi Huang wasted no time. She pulled out the Teleportation Gate Activation Crossbow and began loading Spirit-Gathering Talismans.
Meanwhile, Lu Hong’s Life Soul drifted out of his body. Looking around, he found himself engulfed in the sea of heavenly might. He couldn’t even move an inch.
“I, Lu Hong, act under Heaven’s command, purging heretics and abominations. I beg the Heavenly Dao for mercy!”
His Life Soul knelt, declaring his allegiance.
Strangely enough, after he spoke, the heavenly pressure began to fade.
Lu Hong’s Life Soul wiped nonexistent sweat and looked down at his ruined body. “Old friend, I didn’t think we’d part so soon. You’ve followed me for centuries… truly, it’s hard to let go.”
Then his tone turned cold. “Still, I should thank that heretic for removing this burden. Now, I have nothing holding me back.”
With that, Lu Hong’s Life Soul turned and shot off in pursuit of Qi Huang—faster than ever before.
