Volume 14, Chapter 925 – The Brutal Massacre (Part 2)

“That’s right! Don’t think that just because you are Celestials you can do whatever you want. Even a clay figure has three parts of spirit; anger me, and I’ll kill you, no matter who you are!”

“So what if you’re powerful? There are countless cultivators and immortals in the Immortal Realm. Just one spit from each person would drown you!”

“Everyone, stand united! We can’t let these wolves who eat people and spit out only bones get away with this!”

Below, the onlookers were in a frenzy. Their lives were under threat; there was no retreat.

Qi Huang watched everything unfold through the Shadow-Retaining Mirror and sneered, “Overestimating themselves.”

“They have no idea how powerful Celestials truly are. If they did, they wouldn’t even have the courage to resist,” she said coldly.

Even Cheng Hongling’s beautiful eyes carried a flicker of contempt.

General Qin hadn’t expected these lowly ants from the lower realms to dare rebel against him. He pointed at Yin Wan, then glanced around and asked, “What did he say? That I’ll pay the price?”

“Yes, General. That’s exactly what he said,” replied the heavenly soldier Liu Jin, standing nearby with exaggerated eagerness.

“Ha… how laughable. Truly, ignorance breeds fearlessness.”

General Qin didn’t get angry, instead, he laughed arrogantly. “You think we brought this many people because we needed them to destroy the Immortal Realm? I came here only to prevent anyone from playing favorites and abusing power. To destroy the Immortal Realm, even one Heavenly Slave is more than enough.”

“Then by all means, try it!” Yin Wan ground his teeth and met him head-on.

“Since you insist, I’ll entertain you a little. If I return too soon, His Majesty might think the task was too easy, wouldn’t even be worth bragging about.”

General Qin’s smile turned increasingly sinister. He turned to his subordinates and said, “Which Heavenly Slave wants to give him a little taste?”

“General, this old slave is willing to serve,” offered an elderly man, the words “Heavenly Slave” etched on his forehead.

“Good. Go. Don’t hold back. Let these ants understand the difference between themselves and a Celestial.”

“Yes!”

The Heavenly Slave bowed respectfully and floated slowly toward Yin Wan.

“You think Alliance Master Yin can win?”

“Win with what? That’s a Celestial. If Immortals could defeat Celestials, why would anyone bother ascending?”

“You better hope Alliance Master Yin wins. He’s the top expert in the Immortal Realm. If he can’t even handle the lowest-ranked Heavenly Slave, then we’re all doomed.”

The crowd was holding their breath, nerves stretched to the breaking point.

“Honestly, fighting you feels like disciplining my own child. I know you can’t fight back, but I still have to teach you a lesson for disobedience.”

The Heavenly Slave mocked once he got close.

“Shut your damn mouth! I’d love to see what makes you so cocky!”

Even Yin Wan, the alliance master, was so enraged he lost control. He unleashed his sword and charged, Fire True Qi within him exploding like a volcano, surging out from his Qi Sea in an uncontrollable torrent.

“Getting angry already? That fire’s too small. Let me help.”

The Heavenly Slave smirked, and his Divine Sense spread outward.

Yin Wan stopped abruptly mid-charge. He’d suddenly realized something horrifying: his True Qi inside his Qi Sea was no longer under his control. It surged into his meridians like a tidal flood, the impact so fierce that his entire body swelled as if it were about to explode.

He had no choice but to halt the attack and focus entirely on suppressing the berserk energy inside him.

“Why isn’t Alliance Master Yin moving?”

Everyone looked at one another in confusion, unable to grasp what was happening.

“Useless,” said the Heavenly Slave, expression unchanged.

And so it was.

Yin Wan fought desperately to suppress the True Qi with his Divine Sense, but it was futile. The energy had become like a wild stallion, rampaging beyond control, tearing his meridians apart.

“AAAH!”

As his meridians ruptured, Yin Wan could no longer suppress the scream of agony.

“What’s happening to Alliance Master Yin?!”

The Immortals of the realm looked stunned; confusion quickly turned to dread.

Yin Wan’s cries grew louder and louder. Blood, mixed with Fire True Qi, began to seep out from his skin, staining his white robes a terrifying dark red, and then, like lamp oil, the blood ignited into flame.

“Hmph. In my domain, all Fire Spiritual Qi is like my own hand. I can control it however I want, including the True Qi inside your body.”

The Heavenly Slave played with his fingers arrogantly as he spoke.

Qi Huang was equally stunned by what she saw. She turned to her lover and asked, “Darling, doesn’t that technique look like a domain version of the Water-Severing Art?”

“It does look similar. But it’s way more brutal than Water-Severing,” Cheng Hongling evaluated. “Water-Severing works by guiding True Qi to extract blood essence, but this guy’s using sheer Divine Sense to disrupt the flow of energy in someone else’s body.”

“Such a crude method. Works only on people with weaker Divine Sense,” Qi Huang scoffed.

“You’re one to talk. Without Divine Sense, who could you bully?” Cheng Hongling gave her a half-smile.

“Uh…”

Qi Huang looked immediately embarrassed.

“But it does prove your cultivation method is the right one. Strengthening the physical body with True Qi is really just a last resort.”

Cheng Hongling couldn’t help but compliment her.

“Exactly! It won’t be long before I reach the Celestial level. Then I’ll be able to use domains like that guy.”

Qi Huang puffed up with pride again.

Meanwhile, above the main headquarters of the Immortal Alliance, Yin Wan was being burned alive by his own True Qi. He writhed and screamed, on the verge of death.

“Everyone, attack together! This isn’t some formal duel! Forget the rules!”

“Right! Alliance Master Yin has the highest cultivation among us. If he dies, won’t we be next?”

“Immortals down there, don’t just stand and watch! Attack! They’re not just after us—they’re going to kill every cultivator and Immortal in the Immortal Realm. If we don’t unite now, they’ll destroy us one by one!”

The higher-ups of the Immortal Alliance, seeing the dire state of things, quickly rallied the crowd.

“Destroy us one by one? You really think too highly of yourselves.”

The Heavenly Slave yawned and mocked lazily.

“Kill!”

One elder couldn’t take it anymore. With a furious roar, he charged.

“Kill!”

In the same moment, countless Immortals soared into the sky, launching themselves at the Celestials like a tidal swarm of bees, thick enough to block out the sky.

“Kill them all. Every last cultivator and Immortal, leave none alive!”

General Qin gave the cold order without a trace of mercy.

“Yes!”

The celestial soldiers and generals obeyed. They spread in all directions, Divine Senses roaring out like whales breaching the ocean’s surface, triggering a storm of carnage wherever they went.

What followed was a massacre.

The Celestials could instantly assess everyone within their Divine Sense radius. Whether someone was a cultivator or Immortal could not be hidden from their discerning “eyes”. With a single thought, they decided who lived and who died.

Most victims didn’t even know what had happened before their deaths. They couldn’t resist, didn’t even have a chance to try—completely crushed by overwhelming force.

The Immortal Realm was quickly plunged into darkness, the sun and moon eclipsed by slaughter. Corpses piled up like mountains. Star systems shattered. It was exactly like what Qi Huang had seen in her dream before.

Qi Huang’s breath quickened. Even knowing these people deserved death, the sheer bloodiness of the slaughter overwhelmed her senses.

“This place isn’t safe. Let’s go. Let the dogs bite each other all they want.”

Cheng Hongling reminded her calmly.

Qi Huang didn’t want to stay either. She prepared to leave, only for the Shadow-Retaining Mirror to suddenly pick up a conversation between two Celestials.

“Brother Jiang, now that we’ve harvested all the Five Elements Spiritual Qi from the Immortal Realm, the Heavenly Dao should wake up soon, right?”

“Why do you ask? You want the Heavenly Dao to awaken?”

“I’m just curious, that’s all.”

“Not enough. I heard from someone higher up: the Heavenly Dao will only awaken after we collect all Spiritual Qi from every world in existence.”

“Really? Then we’re still far off.”

The two Celestials were speaking cryptically. But because they were being observed through the Shadow-Retaining Mirror, they had no idea they were being watched.

“Harvesting? What do they mean?”

Qi Huang turned to Cheng Hongling, confusion written all over her face.
