Volume 14, Chapter 943 – Fast Forward Three Hundred and Fifty Years
“Don’t be angry, believe me—Xi Family’s Immortal Stele has long lost its effect. It poses no threat to you whatsoever.”
Qi Huang quickly tried to comfort her.
“How do you know that?”
Han Yurou stared at Qi Huang with a tearful expression, as if on the verge of crying.
“Is that even a question? Look across all the Immortal Steles on Jinguang Planet and Tianyan Planet, every single one has failed. Why would the Xi Family’s stele be an exception?”
Qi Huang explained, reasoning logically.
“So you’re purely speculating?”
Han Yurou countered.
“Uh…”
Qi Huang found herself at a loss for words.
“Miss Chen, I understand your intention in trying to reassure my granddaughter, and I appreciate the sentiment, but as her grandfather, I cannot allow her to take any risks.”
Han Qianyang stated his position with utmost seriousness.
“And so?”
Qi Huang pressed.
“So I must ascend as soon as possible. That way, we no longer have to fear the Xi Family’s Immortal Stele.”
Han Qianyang said with resolute determination.
“Good idea! I just worry you might not be able to ascend.”
Qi Huang said with a tinge of heartfelt concern.
“Why would Miss Chen say such a thing?”
Han Qianyang frowned, displeased—no one liked a jinx.

“Have you ever considered that the reason you can’t ascend might not be a problem with the spatial barriers, but that there’s something wrong with the Immortal Realm itself?”
Qi Huang offered a kind reminder.
“What kind of problem?”
Han Qianyang asked disinterestedly.
“For example, if the Immortal Realm has vanished, then where could you possibly ascend to? That would also explain why the Immortal Steles have all lost their power.”
Qi Huang voiced a harsh reality.
“Heh, Miss Chen certainly has a vivid imagination.”
Han Qianyang mocked, then added, “Don’t worry, Yurou has told me everything about you. Since you saved her life, it’s only right that we repay you. No matter how we use the Domain of Time, we’ll reserve three hundred and fifty years for you.”
Qi Huang rolled her beautiful eyes in exasperation. ‘What does this old guy take me for? Am I the type of narrow-minded person who clings to petty favors?’
Though a bit annoyed, Qi Huang didn’t say more. She understood that some people just wouldn’t turn back until they hit a wall.
“Xiao Rou, make sure you study the Chaotic Corpse carefully. We only have one month.”
Han Qianyang immediately instructed his granddaughter.
“Yes, Grandfather. I won’t slack off.”
Han Yurou promised, eyes firm with determination.
After leaving the Han residence, Xi Hou’s expression was incredibly dark. In contrast, Xi Yu was ecstatic, practically dancing with joy. In his mind, he was already wondering what name to give his and Han Yurou’s future child.
Only after they had left did Xi Yu notice his father’s foul mood and asked curiously, “What’s wrong, Father? Aren’t you happy that Han Yurou will help continue our bloodline?”
“Happy? Don’t get too ahead of yourself. That veiled woman just revealed the failure of our Xi Family’s Immortal Stele in front of everyone. Do you think Han Qianyang will believe it? If he does, you won’t just lose Han Yurou… you may end up exposing the truth about our stele.”

Xi Hou warned grimly.
Xi Yu’s smile froze. He thought for a moment, then said, “I think it doesn’t matter whether he believes it or not. Like you said, he’ll never let his granddaughter take even the slightest risk. So he’ll definitely yield.”
“First of all, I said he wouldn’t believe mere rumors in the streets. But this came from someone close to Han Yurou, that’s a different story. Second, even if the Han family doesn’t believe it, what will others think? Gossip spreads. A lie told enough times becomes truth. When that happens, will our Xi Family’s Immortal Stele still hold any power of deterrence? Third, that woman openly exposed our family’s secret in public, showing no regard for us at all. Can you swallow that humiliation?”
Xi Hou questioned him, word by word.
“Yeah… now that I think about it, that wretched woman really deserves to die.”
Xi Yu’s expression twisted with malice after a brief moment of reflection.
“Only realizing it now? You’re already married with a family, yet you let Han Yurou muddle your head. Don’t embarrass me, alright?”
Xi Hou scolded in disappointment.
“Father, I’m sorry. I lost my self-control. I’ll be more careful in the future.”
Xi Yu quickly apologized.
“Hmph!”
Xi Hou snorted coldly and then said, “Let’s find an inn to rest. Have someone dig into that wretched woman’s background. If someone dares disrespect our Xi Family and lives longer than three days, it means I’ve failed as clan leader.”
“Understood.”
Xi Yu quickly agreed.
The Xi Family group wrapped up their discussion and settled in a nearby inn. They sent a servant out to gather information on Qi Huang.
Not long after, the servant returned.
“Reporting, Clan Leader. I’ve found out, the woman is one of Miss Han’s patients. Because her illness is particularly difficult to treat, Miss Han kept her close for treatment. Also…”
The servant paused, then added, “Not long ago, when our family tried to capture Han Yurou’s spy, it was that woman who foiled the plan.”
“Ha! No wonder she’s so arrogant. I underestimated her.”

Xi Hou laughed in fury.
“Grandfather, if that’s the case, her strength must be at least peak Divine Realm. Unless you personally act, killing her won’t be easy.”
Xi Yu frowned.
“If she’s Han Yurou’s patient, then killing her would certainly provoke Han Qianyang. There’s no need to start a conflict now, that would only risk exposing the stele’s failure.”
Xi Hou was rational, then said, “Here’s the plan: let’s go home. Once we’re in-laws with the Han family a month from now, she’ll be just an outsider. Killing her then will be effortless.”
No one objected, or dared to object. And so, they followed Xi Hou back to the estate.
Han Yurou didn’t disappoint her grandfather. Half a month later, she had fully grasped how to use the Domain of Time.
Han Qianyang also made all necessary preparations. He brought his granddaughter and Qi Huang to a remote, uninhabited region of Jinguang Planet.
Han Yurou released the shriveled Chaotic Corpse and began activating the Domain of Time, starting with rewinding three hundred and fifty years.
Qi Huang and Han Qianyang immediately stepped back. They had no desire to be affected by the domain.
Under Han Yurou’s control, the shriveled Chaotic Corpse actually emitted a powerful force. Then, a ten-foot-wide space ahead began to ripple like water. Within it, the flowers, grass, and trees began to grow in reverse at high speed—from withered branches and fallen leaves to lush greenery, and then to dewy sprouts—until they turned into seeds and sank into the earth. Then a new set of flora repeated the same cycle.
Qi Huang’s heart surged with excitement. She knew this was the result of time rapidly flowing in reverse.
Han Qianyang was even more moved, for this meant ascension—it meant a way out.
One wave after another of plants within the Domain of Time regrew in reverse. After who knew how many cycles, Han Yurou finally, drenched in fragrant sweat, said, “Grandfather, it’s done. The spatial barrier inside has been reverted to what it was three hundred years ago.”
“This is wonderful! Ascension is finally within reach. Hahaha… what a wonderful granddaughter!”
Han Qianyang laughed joyously.
“Grandfather, this Domain of Time only lasts for a quarter of an hour. You have to act fast to break through the spatial barrier.”

Han Yurou reminded him sensibly.
“Understood. But after I break the spatial barrier, I’ll undergo a Heavenly Tribulation. You two should stay far away to avoid being caught in it.”
Han Qianyang warned cautiously.
“Heh…”
Qi Huang laughed out loud. With the Immortal Realm gone, where was the Heavenly Tribulation supposed to come from?
“Stop giggling like a fool, come with me.”
Han Yurou grabbed Qi Huang’s hand and pulled her away.
Qi Huang had no choice but to follow her.
Once the two women had retreated several dozen miles away, Han Qianyang began the process of breaking through the spatial barrier.
He summoned his strongest treasured sword and poured most of his True Qi into it. Then he slashed toward the Domain of Time.
CRACK!
With a crisp sound, the space inside the Domain of Time tore like paper. A gaping crack a full ten feet long was slashed open.
“It really worked.”
Han Qianyang’s whole body trembled with excitement. He swung his sword several more times, carving a large hole within the Domain of Time’s space.
Satisfied, Han Qianyang sheathed his sword and stepped up to the hole. But the scene before him made him freeze.
All he could see was endless, boundless darkness. Not a single star was in sight. He couldn’t sense even the faintest trace of spiritual energy. There was only the barest framework of space and time.
More importantly, there wasn’t even a shadow of the Heavenly Tribulation.
“What… what is this?”
The smile on Han Qianyang’s face slowly froze.
