Chapter 173: The Fusion of the Forbidden Domain
Chapter 173: The Fusion of the Forbidden Domain
The joy of becoming a Pan-dimensional Creature made Lin Lei spread his perception through the universe in a moment of excitement.
His originally limited perception, which could only be restricted to a range of 100 Light Years, was expanding rapidly, and the misty white fog in the surroundings dispersed completely in an instant.
Lin Lei finally experienced the feeling of spreading his senses across an entire Star System; it was simply a perspective of a Deity!
The suffering and joy of all living beings could be transmitted to his perception immediately; if Lin Lei wished, he could even listen to the simple thoughts of an ant and feel the joy of flowers and trees toward the sunlight.
The Immortal could not compare to this at all; indeed, that was merely a slightly stronger bug.
But Lin Lei, who was now free, suddenly felt a subtle sensation of being watched!
This sensation was extremely faint; the former Lin Lei would never have been able to discover it, but now it was different.
This feeling of being watched was very slight, like being brushed by a soft feather, almost negligible.
Lin Lei, however, was struck with terror; he was no longer a tiny star-level life form. Could it be that even after reaching this level, there were still those who could deceive his senses and conduct invisible surveillance on him?
At that moment, he thought of the “Supreme Will” that Lenna had mentioned. Lenna seemed to have sensed the existence of some mighty being as well, but could not find its location, so she could only use this reverent term to summarize its existence.
The joy in Lin Lei’s heart instantly faded by more than half, and he was no longer in the mood to observe this universe.
But when he opened his eyes in this stable Subspace, he found that the surrounding scenery had changed drastically.
The endless forest was gone, replaced by an endless starry sky.
This was a Star System, and Lin Lei discovered that he had become the golden sun in the center, surrounded by a row of planets!
How similar this scene was to the Four Space-time Dimensions; Lin Lei had never imagined that his Forbidden Domain would look like this.
But where was Lenna? Where did the Forbidden Domain of the World Tree, Lenna, go?
Just as this question arose in Lin Lei’s mind, Lenna’s slightly complaining voice sounded beside him.
“Lin Lei, you are too domineering. You have seized control of all the free energy in this area. The matter that originally formed the great forest has been combined by you into this Star System found everywhere in the Four Space-time Dimensions; what a waste.”
There was only so much free energy in a region; this free energy was not life, it would not choose or compromise. Within a certain area, whoever was stronger, they would obey, with no other result.
Lenna’s great forest still existed, but it was attached to Lin Lei’s various planets. Her true body, the World Tree, did not manifest but was hidden in a certain space within the Star System.
The Laws of this Star System were combined entirely according to the rules of the Four-dimensional Universe. If civilization developed on it, it could at least reach a level comparable to Earth’s Newtonian era without irreparable flaws.
Of course, if development continued, the lives in this Star System Forbidden Domain might, like Earth’s Newton, struggle with the question of the First Push!
Who made these planets move and run according to such trajectories?
Earth’s Newton, after racking his brains, helplessly handed the power of the First Push over to God.
But here, there would be some changes. Yes, if the intelligent beings here developed to this stage, they would feel Lin Lei, the sun radiating infinite light in the sky, was the true eternal Deity.
This was the Rule set by Lin Lei: technology and myth coexisted, and faith would also be bound by reason.
What he sought was a kind of balance, the balance of all things. And on this point, who could do better or more perfectly than the Four-dimensional Universe?
This concept also made Lenna breathe a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she had not misjudged him. If Lin Lei’s beliefs had been completely contrary to what she insisted on, then as the World Tree, she would have nothing to say; she would either have to leave or fight.
The wish to seek Lin Lei’s help would have turned into passing smoke and clouds.
Pan-dimensional Creatures would also compromise, but this degree of compromise was much smaller than that of intelligent creatures, because as higher existences, they actually lived more purely and simply.
The Great Dao is simple, and this was shown here as well.
Lenna was also somewhat surprised by Lin Lei’s power. In her original idea, Lin Lei, as a newborn Pan-dimensional Creature, would be at most a little stronger than the original Dark Saint, helpful for her future battles, but his role would be like the last weight on a nearly balanced scale.
As long as he helped her, then the Blood-colored Abyss, which was only a line stronger than her, would have to retreat in defeat.
Today’s Lin Lei, however, far exceeded her expectations. With this kind of power, even if he fought the Blood-colored Abyss alone, he would not be inferior at all, perhaps even slightly superior.
The fact that the World Tree and Lin Lei’s Forbidden Domain could merge perfectly indicated that there were commonalities in their concepts.
Although Lenna’s pursuit leaned slightly toward the extreme, it was within Lin Lei’s tolerance range now. A planet completely covered in forests was surely much more lovely than a dead planet.
Lin Lei’s interference in his Star System Forbidden Domain occurred through only two pathways: one was the energy light he emitted, and the other was through immense gravity.
This light promoted the evolution of life on the planets. The starting point of this Star System was quite high; because of Lenna, the biological chain of the entire planet was constructed directly and completely.
In the green great forests, life was quietly breeding. This was very simple for Lin Lei now; he only needed to interfere slightly.
In terms of gravity, however, it was immense. The range of this Forbidden Domain extended for nearly three Light Years. If one copied all the rules of the Four Space-time Dimensions, maintaining life on all planets through a single star would be impossible.
In this regard, Lin Lei had to discuss it with Lenna.
“What? You want me to turn my true body into a big fireball like you? But I like the image of a big tree.” Lenna did not deny Lin Lei’s proposal immediately; she just emphasized her preference.
The big tree was her true body; she was a tree before she became a Pan-dimensional Creature. Lin Lei was also very clear about this.
Lin Lei tried to persuade her: “Don’t you think watching the creatures in these domains spend hundreds of thousands, or even millions of years slowly developing, just like now, is a very pleasant thing? Don’t you think this is more interesting than the repetition of tens of millions of years in your original Forbidden Domain? I think this is the process of creation.”
Lenna pondered for a while and finally nodded in agreement: “Alright, I will become a pale green star. It looks like forming a binary star system is also an interesting thing.”
She agreed so quickly entirely because Lin Lei’s last sentence moved her; life that could evolve sounded attractive enough.
Constructing a medium-mass star required a huge amount of matter. The free energy in this area had basically been occupied by Lin Lei. Lin Lei’s main star occupied 98% of the mass of this Star System. Lenna could only obtain free energy from further away.
Her strength had now recovered to eighty percent of her peak. Although there was a gap between her and Lin Lei in the free energy she could influence and control, forming a star was not difficult.
Thus, very soon, at a distance of several Light Years away, a pale green giant star began to form out of thin air. As soon as this star appeared, its immense gravity established a connection with Lin Lei’s main body.
This would be unlikely in the Four Space-time Dimensions because the propagation of gravitational waves takes time, but here, all of this was not a problem.
The two huge stars soon began to approach each other; gravitational potential energy began to convert into kinetic energy, and the two began to slowly approach each other in a spiral manner.
It was not until both had gained enough kinetic energy that this violent state change slowly calmed down and stabilized, and the two stars began to stably orbit each other.
During this period, the planets that originally revolved around Lin Lei suffered disaster; they were like a string of glass beads, some directly attracted into the interior of the stars, and some thrown into the outer regions due to the massive change in gravity.
In this process, there were also several planets that collided and annihilated into free energy. Various kinds of chaos were too numerous to mention.
This was a necessary process for the fusion of two Forbidden Domains, a journey of destruction before creation.
It was not until the distance between the two stars in this Energy Dimension space was 0.5 Light Years that the binary star system stabilized.
In the surrounding space, the previously chaotic planets began to have their orbits restored one by one. The energy that had previously annihilated and fled was also captured back and stacked again into material planets.
There were a total of eighty-one planets with various orbits, but among them, only ten planets were selected by Lin Lei and Lenna to be cultivated as Life Planets.
There was no helping it; if one wanted to strictly maintain the operation of the Forbidden Domain according to the new Rules, then one could only attend to this many planets.
The other planets could only serve as foils for the intelligent life on these few planets, used to satisfy their curiosity and desire for exploration.
This kind of act similar to creation was not only new and interesting to Lin Lei, but even Lenna felt the same.
Lenna’s Will Fluctuation conveyed joy: “This indeed made me feel more of the joy of creation; I was too rigid before.”
Lin Lei, however, fell into deep thought. He said with some hesitation: “I am thinking, was the Four-dimensional Universe also formed under the control of a very, very powerful Will, just like the ‘Supreme Will’ you mentioned?”
As soon as Lin Lei said this, Lenna also fell into silence. After a long while, she asked Lin Lei: “After you comprehended the Time Dimension, did you sense the peeping?”
“Yes, very slight, almost making me think it was an illusion. But I am certain that there is indeed a Will peeping at our every move.”
“That is why I haven’t dared to make any rash moves for tens of millions of years, preferring to guard my great forest. And the things we experienced afterwards indeed showed that there are stronger existences in the Universe. Many things that happen in the Universe, I actually cannot explain.”
Lenna sighed and said: “To a Pan-dimensional Creature, looking at this Universe is like looking at a clear pond where one can see the bottom at a glance. But whether the pond is really like this, or if it is just an illusion caused by light refraction, I have never known.”
Lin Lei was speechless. Indeed, for him now, although the water in the pond was clear, shadows still existed. Thinking about it carefully, it seemed that he wasn’t even sure if what was held in the pond was actually water.
