Chapter 39: Li Jian's Intention

Of course, what he said was complete bullshit.

Helping this woman without any return? Only an idiot would do that.

Li Jian's true goals were two things.

First, push Su Qin into Foundation Establishment as soon as possible.

Once she broke through, she would no longer be just another outer disciple.

A Foundation Establishment cultivator... even a newly advanced one was already a reliable backer in the outer sect.

With the massive Favor Debt she still owed him, having such a person tied to him would make many future matters much easier.

Second… he wanted to test something and confirm something.

The system could force requests.

It could make the target accept even outrageous demands as natural and proper.

But what if, instead of only relying on forced requests, he slowly guided the other party into accepting more on their own? What if kindness, benefits, and the promise of strength could reduce resistance even further?
