Chapter 42: Unclear Intentions
Chapter 42: Unclear Intentions
Chen Fengshi was talking, but his movements did not stop.
After picking up Little An, he jumped directly over the heads of the sluggish Parasites on the stairs, leaping up half a floor, and then leaping another half.
They were still wearing black riding suits and helmets. Chen Fengshi’s body looked well-proportioned, and holding the slender Little An did not look clumsy or burdensome, but every leap was as agile as a cheetah.
Little An did not speak, because she knew it was risky to stay here alone, and she had no way to block the mobility of a half-body Demon General; if a Demon General arrived, the consequences could be imagined!
She did not say any nonsense like asking him to put her down, because she had no mobility right now. She just stayed silent, and just as Chen Fengshi said, she shrank the range of the red mist threads connecting the Parasites, greatly reducing the load.
On the stairs they rushed past, the Fungal Demon Parasites stood quietly one by one, with three red mist threads connected to each of their heads at the same time, while the golden mist on Chen Fengshi’s body had rapidly expanded to the point where it could cover the length of an entire flight of stairs.
Where the giant sphere of golden mist passed, the red mist in the stairwell was sucked in like water flowing into a giant golden ocean whirlpool, and like dust of heaven and earth being sucked into a sweeping giant tornado.
Even though there was an endless stream of people in the stairwell, they all became decorations.
On the streets around Hongye Building, a continuous stream of people poured in, running into the stairwell and squeezing upward like a tide.
Demon Generals were driving or riding in cars on the road, speeding over in a hurry.
Little An’s body could not help but start to tremble; she had never tried to use her power to this extent before, and the high load on her nerves, along with the constant tension, made her feel that her body’s shaking was completely uncontrollable. However, she said nothing, just silently gritted her teeth and endured.
They had to be fast; there was no time for nonsense now, and even less time to whine about how hard it was.
Chen Fengshi jumped and climbed the stairs at full speed; he had to be fast, what if the Fungal Demon Main Body above took the elevator and escaped?
Every time he passed a stairwell entrance, he paid attention; the elevators were closed. He even prepared for the worst; if an elevator was running and went up to the floor where the Fungal Demon Main Body was, then, regardless of anything, he would destroy the elevator first!
Carrying Little An in his arms, Chen Fengshi rushed up to the twenty-sixth floor in one breath; except for the residents who had turned into Parasites, he surprisingly did not encounter any stronger obstruction, and the elevator was still out of service.
The door of the room where the Fungal Demon Main Body on the twenty-sixth floor was located was tightly shut, and it did not look like it had undergone any special reinforcement measures.
“Find a gun!” Little An said, her eyes already fixed on a submachine gun held by a motionless Parasite in the stairwell behind her.
Chen Fengshi did not speak; after putting Little An down, he rushed straight toward the door and kicked right at the lock!
With a loud crash, the lock fell off from the inside, the connecting parts of the stainless steel security door snapped, and the entire door fell straight forward onto the floor.
Little An could not help but be stunned, realizing more deeply the overbearing power of the Golden Power of Life.
If the outer security door was like this, the inner door could not withstand Chen Fengshi’s kick either; the lock broke from the inside, detached from the door, and flew off into several parts, the top half of the door’s connection broke, while the bottom half was still attached a little, so it slanted against the wall, smashing the wall until dust flew everywhere.
After Chen Fengshi and Little An rushed in, some red mist threads between the latter’s palms rapidly extended out, turning into the corridor inside.
After Chen Fengshi followed her over, he realized that the houses above had been knocked through, and there were stairs leading directly up.
Little An had already stopped connecting to the crowd in the stairwell, and followed behind Chen Fengshi up the circular stairs; seeing the red mist threads extending inside, after they went in from the corridor, they found that another floor had been opened up above.
Little An noticed that the structure of this room was completely different from normal home furnishings; there were many computers, monitors, and other equipment placed around, and the walls were especially thick, making her suspect that things were hidden inside the walls.
However, right now she was anxious to deal with the Main Body; the end of the red mist threads was where the Fungal Demon Main Body or Parasites were located, and from the number of threads, there were none on this floor.
“I’ll go in front!” Chen Fengshi went up the stairs to the twenty-eighth floor, and Little An followed closely behind; as she looked around, her long curly hair swung rapidly, and her face between the hair was full of gravity. No sounds came from behind, which meant that the Parasites in the stairwell were temporarily not a threat because they had been driven away by Chen Fengshi’s golden mist.
However, the red mist on other Fungal Demons would quickly spread layer by layer, and it would not be long before those Parasites moved again and rushed up. By then, she would be forced to maintain the high-load state of driving the Power of Life.
Chen Fengshi walked up to the twenty-eighth floor, right at the entrance of the corridor; on one side was a room, and on the other side was the entrance to a large living room.
In the living room, there were five people.
One woman, four men.
In Chen Fengshi’s eyes, the red mist threads extending from the Protoplast held between Little An’s hands behind him all stretched into the living room and connected to the bodies of these five people.
There were only the five of them here; Chen Fengshi’s gaze did not linger on the four men for long, and fell directly on the woman, and then he looked her up and down repeatedly, tirelessly.
“Is it nice to look at?” The woman had short burgundy hair, but her appearance was by no means masculine. She was clearly sitting there naked, yet her posture was so calm and natural that it made people wonder if she was actually wearing a piece of clothing that others could not see?
Chen Fengshi was looking her up and down, and her gaze was also looking him up and down.
However, Chen Fengshi was wearing a helmet and a riding suit, and the windshield on the helmet made it impossible to see inside from the outside.
Chen Fengshi believed that this woman was the Fungal Demon Main Body, because she clearly occupied a dominant position.
The four men completely ignored Chen Fengshi’s arrival, their tongues still slowly rubbing against her arms and legs.
However, Chen Fengshi was not completely unconcerned about the presence of those four men.
Because each of those four men was an elite in the bodybuilding world, elites far beyond Liu Shuzhi!
They were tall and burly, and the muscles on their arms looked thicker than Chen Fengshi’s waist! The most bulging muscles on them were even larger than the unusually plump chest of that woman.
Little An also came up, and her gaze circled around before also falling on the woman. Because she really could not accept the non-human body shapes of those four huge muscular men; it was too much, and those four could no longer give people the attraction of being strong, only the terror formed by the oppressive feeling of non-humans.
When Little An came up, she happened to hear the woman sitting in the middle, naked and smiling as she looked at Chen Fengshi, ask: “Is it nice to look at?”
She felt it was really embarrassing, and then she heard Chen Fengshi say: “It is nice to look at, but it’s a pity I saw it at the wrong time, so there is only the beauty of skin and flesh, lacking the complete beauty that blends with one’s aura.”
“Oh?” The woman smiled; her burgundy short hair was already meticulously groomed, and when she smiled, two small dimples appeared on her face, which complemented her flawless delicate features and made her look even sweeter.
This woman looked simply like a beautiful heavenly maiden.
However, Little An could not feel that way, because a heavenly maiden would not sit there and let the tongues of four muscle monsters move back and forth so disgustingly.
Chen Fengshi pointed a finger in a circle at the four muscle monsters and said: “If you let them guard the door downstairs, then the scene before me would be perfect, and your beauty would not have to endure the misery of your form and spirit being separated!”
Little An did not know whether to praise Chen Fengshi or kick him; could the Fungal Demon Main Body be fooled so easily? However, she also understood that Chen Fengshi was probably figuring out how to deal with those four ‘muscle monsters’! Compared to these four monsters, Liu Shuzhi looked countless times cuter.
“Your desire for exclusivity is really strong—of course I will try my best to satisfy the requests of an honored guest.” After the woman with burgundy hair finished speaking, without any action or further indication, the four muscle monsters suddenly left together; acting as if no one else was present, they did not even look at Chen Fengshi and Little An, directly pulled open the glass door, and then bare-handedly snapped six stainless steel pillars on the security net, lowered the hanging ladder outside, and the four muscle giants climbed down the hanging ladder one by one…
At this moment, Chen Fengshi had the impulse to rush over and break the hanging ladder to death the four muscle monsters.
However, he did not do that, because he was afraid it was a trap; if there was a camera recording that process, then his life would be in the hands of the Fungal Demon Main Body.
The four monsters left, and the woman with short burgundy hair smiled, picked up the remote control, and pressed it; on the TV screen hanging on the wall, the scene of the four muscle monsters climbing down the ladder was displayed, and on the large screen made up of four sixty-inch screens, there were a total of sixteen real-time images shot by cameras in different positions.
“Sit, let’s chat.” The woman tossed the remote control and just stood up; not only was she not shy at all, when she got the wine and glasses, she even adjusted her posture in a direction that seemed to fear it was not attractive enough.
“What, stalling for time to wait for Demon General reinforcements?” Little An’s tone was full of disdain; this woman’s naked body certainly had no attraction for her, but she felt that Chen Fengshi seemed quite happy, so she spoke first.
The woman smiled, raised her arm as if afraid of blocking others’ viewing, raised her arm slowly and very high, and then pointed her thumb at the ladder outside the balcony and said: “If it weren’t for having a good chat with you, I would have left long ago.”
She took the wine and glasses, poured three glasses, sat down, and raised her hand again to signal them to sit down and talk.
“Let’s chat, I’m very happy to. As for her, she’s obviously not interested, let her stand aside.” Chen Fengshi stepped forward, kicked a small table directly to the position opposite the woman’s coffee table, and sat on it.
Little An realized Chen Fengshi’s worry; he was afraid there might be some traps in this room, so he took the risk, while she would respond from a relatively safe position.
So she cooperatively stepped back, stood at the entrance they came in from, paid attention to the movements on the lower floor while observing the living room walls, and found them very thick, secretly feeling uneasy.
“Not going to drink a little?”
Chen Fengshi smiled and shook his head: “I don’t have the class to taste red wine, I belong to the beer-drinking class, but then again, no drinking while riding.”
“Your power is very strong, really, very strong!” The woman with short burgundy hair said what seemed to be very sincere words, and her eyes and expression were full of sincerity. “Actually, I have always believed that the relationship between us and you should not have to be a fight to the death. We can completely coexist, and we should coexist. For us, the resources occupied by your existence are so few that they are not worth caring about; for you, we were originally just completely ignorable, humble and tiny bacteria.”
After the woman finished speaking, as if to emphasize, and also as a clear statement of her stance, she added: “Yes, I am an advocate of peaceful coexistence!”
