Chapter 2: Can a Mad Tyrant Be Forced? [2]
Mu Jin froze for a second at Ying Huaifeng's answer.
This wasn't the reaction he'd expected.
After being humiliated like that, shouldn't Ying Huaifeng hate him?
Why did he sound almost... happy about it?
Mu Jin hesitated at that thought. After all, he couldn't see anything, so he had no idea what Ying Huaifeng was actually doing.
He asked 648: [Little Six, is the male lead pissed right now?]
648: "Sorry, Host, but per the Host Protection Act, you're not wearing any clothes right now. Although I can communicate with you, I can't see what's going on over there."
"But I did pick up some strong emotional reactions from the male lead when he saw you—probably disgust."
After a moment's thought, 648 added: "According to the original plot, after you humiliate him, he'll find a chance to slip you a curse and slowly take control of you."
"It might sting a bit. Get ready mentally. I'm logging off now~"
Mu Jin got it: [Mm, got it.]
Just as he was thinking about how to keep humiliating Ying Huaifeng, he heard the splash of Ying Huaifeng getting into the water, snapping him out of his thoughts.
Mu Jin looked toward the sound, putting his calm mask back on:
"Come here."
Ying Huaifeng stood in front of Mu Jin and waved a hand in front of his eyes. Once he confirmed Mu Jin really couldn't see, he let out a low chuckle.
So he really had gone blind, huh.
Mu Jin frowned, his face going cold at the sound of that laugh. He raised his hand and slapped Ying Huaifeng right across the face!
Ying Huaifeng's laughter stopped.
Mu Jin's hand paused as well.
By his calculations, that slap should've landed on Ying Huaifeng's face.
But in reality...
Mu Jin thought back to how it felt and was pretty sure he hadn't hit Ying Huaifeng's face.
He tentatively felt the spot he'd just hit, thinking this male lead had a pretty nice body.
………"This is a deletion dividing line. Don't ask how much was deleted—the author doesn't know either"…………
Mu Jin didn't feel the least bit guilty about what he was doing. He just looked at Ying Huaifeng calmly, the faint flush on his face still just from the steam.
Ying Huaifeng's breathing, on the other hand, got more and more uneven, his chest heaving with it.
Just as his throat bobbed and he was about to grab Mu Jin's wandering hand to do something—
"Smack—!"
A sharp smack cut through the tense, ambiguous atmosphere.
Mu Jin put all his strength into that slap. Ying Huaifeng's head snapped to the side, a clear handprint blooming on his pale skin.
The pain instantly yanked Ying Huaifeng out of those crazy, messed-up thoughts. He stared at Mu Jin, something different flickering in his eyes.
Feeling Ying Huaifeng's burning stare that looked like it wanted to eat him alive, Mu Jin lifted his chin and said coldly:
"Serve your Emperor well, or I'll gouge out those dog eyes of yours right this second!"
Mu Jin figured Ying Huaifeng would definitely curse him now.
But Ying Huaifeng just looked at him, spinning the silver bracelet around his wrist. After a moment of thought, he finally let go and spoke respectfully:
"Yes, Your Majesty."
………"This is a deletion dividing line. Don't ask how much was deleted—the author doesn't know either"…………
This way, though, he was practically leaning against Ying Huaifeng's chest.
Seeing Mu Jin like this put Ying Huaifeng in a great mood. He drawled lazily, "Your Majesty shouldn't go moving around so recklessly."
Mu Jin took a soft breath, shifted a little, and reached out to touch Ying Huaifeng.
When Ying Huaifeng was once again pushed to the edge by Mu Jin's unintentional teasing and was about to do something he shouldn't—
Mu Jin slapped him again, this time backhanded, and snickered: "Shut up, you stupid dog! Just do what you're supposed to do."
Another handprint showed up on Ying Huaifeng's face.
Everything stopped instantly, plunging them back into silence.
Mu Jin figured Ying Huaifeng was scheming about how to kill him.
But he completely missed the barely hidden excitement and craziness in Ying Huaifeng's eyes.
Mu Jin raised an eyebrow: "What? You wanna kill your Emperor?"
Ying Huaifeng lowered his eyes, his fingertips finally coming to rest on the silver bracelet.
In a spot no one could see, fine white powder fell from the bracelet, dissolving into the water and disappearing without a trace.
Ying Huaifeng said quietly, "I wouldn't dare."
"Tsk... You don't have the guts for that either."
Mu Jin gave him one warning before looking away. He leaned back against Ying Huaifeng's chest and let out a lazy chuckle:
"Keep going. Don't do anything you're not supposed to."
Other than that, leaning against Ying Huaifeng's chest like this was pretty comfortable... almost enough to make him sleepy.
Mu Jin closed his eyes, relaxing completely, and started thinking about whether he could get Ying Huaifeng to hold him to sleep every night. But he quickly scrapped that idea.
He was here to fix the plot. According to the story, Ying Huaifeng snuck out every night to stir up trouble, build his own power base, and win people over.
If he actually had Ying Huaifeng hold him to sleep every night, there'd be no way to get any of that done.
Mu Jin felt a twinge of regret inside, but he didn't let it show.
Seeing Mu Jin leaning right against him, Ying Huaifeng stopped his little games and obediently kept wiping him down.
As Mu Jin narrowed his eyes and relaxed his vigilance, Ying Huaifeng's lips slowly curled into a smile, his fingertips touching Mu Jin's chest.
The slight sting made Mu Jin frown, but he quickly realized that this was probably the gu curse Ying Huaifeng had planted in him.
This realization eased the furrow in Mu Jin's brow, and he let Ying Huaifeng continue wiping him down, acting as if nothing was wrong, no longer giving him a hard time.
It wasn't until he finally raised his hand to rest it on Ying Huaifeng's shoulder that he thought to himself that he'd probably fulfilled today's task.
Mu Jin said calmly, "Carry me to bed."
Ying Huaifeng could sense that Mu Jin was in a much better mood, but he didn't know why.
He could only lower his eyes and respond respectfully, "Yes, Your Majesty."
Then he wiped the water from Mu Jin's body, helped him into his nightclothes, dried his hair, and gently lifted him up.
Ying Huaifeng placed Mu Jin on the soft bed, smoothed his hair, and his movements stilled.
Staring at Mu Jin like this, Ying Huaifeng couldn't tear his gaze away, nor could he bear to leave.
The little emperor, lying there so obediently, cheeks slightly flushed, ink-black hair spread out, nightclothes open to reveal a patch of chest...
He looked like easy prey...
