"Look, it's a simple question guys, would you rather be a homeless lost person or a lost homeless person?"

"What?!!" Hote scrambled her face in confusion of what Flora was asking.

"Ugggh Hote it's not that complicated,it's a simple 'what if' scenario", Flora explained with animated gestures to Mac and Hote.

The trio were simply idling around her locker refusing to go home while hordes of other students were pouring into the halls, rushing home for the end of the school day.

"How is it not complicated? That makes no sense , a homeless lost guy and lost homeless guy are the same thing".Hote protested, not finding an ounce of intelligence in Flora's question, why were they even having this conversation again?, she wondered.

Mac hummed and stroked his chin, looking to be in serious thought.

"Mac stop ' hmmm-ing' and help me out here, tell Flora it's a dumb question", Hote pleaded hoping to be backed by him.

"It's not actually, it makes perfect sense", Mac said in a calm tone and adjusted his glasses.

"What? What do you mean?" Hote sighed in frustration, she knew it was another of Mac's antics he did to frustrate her whenever Flora would bring up an outlandish discussion.

"I mean,clearly a homeless lost person is different from a lost homeless person", Mac explained, fully 'stone faced' and turning to Flora ,who nodded frantically in approval.

"See? Mac gets it", she commented and frowned at Hote.

"Okay one of you two explain what the difference is" Hote said in a defeated tone and scratched her forehead.

"Well... obviously Flora meant to say that a homeless lost person is someone who is lost because they are homeless..." He said with a brief pause , raising a brow at Hote , before continuing, "....while a lost homeless person, is just a homeless person who happens to be lost...it's common understanding really" he added with a shrug.

"See????? Mac gets it!!" Flora exclaimed again as she flashed two thumbs up at Mac with a beaming smile.

Hote looked at the two with disappointment and annoyance in her eyes."Say 'Mac gets it' one more time and I will feed both of you to my dogs". They made no sense ,but in a way she kind of understood it now.

"Hey!!! You three!!!" A teacher suddenly showed up and called out to the trio, causing Hote to drop her bag out of her hand in surprise.

"You are 12B students are you not?" The teacher asked pointing at them with a folded up magazine he had in his hand.

"Yes...are we in trouble?" Flora asked as the sides of lips immediately folded down like a baby about to explode in tears.

"Sir !!! " Hote exclaimed and rushed between Flora and the teacher, opening her arms to form a sort of protective block, "please don't punish Flora or add anything bad to her record, whatever it is we dragged her into it, her parents will kill her if there's ever a blemish on her record or complaint from school."

"Yes," Hote with hands in his pockets and a deadpan Stare ,mumbled in agreement.

"What are you rascals talking about?" The teacher scrambled his face, confused.

"I just want you to go tell those classmates of yours that they can leave detention and go home now, I'm not waking all the way back there." He added before walking off yawning and stretching, incredibly tired from a day of doing a lot of nothing.

For some seconds that felt like days the trio stayed completely silent, maybe they overreacted?

"Wahhhhhh... I thought my life was over....." Trisha burst into a theatric of tears ,burying her face in Hote's chest.

"There there, you're not a bad student,they'd never do that to you," Hote consoled her with pats on the back as Mac leaned against the locker , quietly watching another episode of drama from the two, nothing he hadn't seen before.

After a long nap, Rei woke up stretching and yawning. The noise from her was the only sound in the classroom accompanied by the crisp sound of Arloh flipping pages of a book.

"Welcome back to earth," Arloh commented without turning to look at Rei who was seated a few metres away.

"Huh, weird, I didn't change still," Rei whispered to herself as she studied her hands and body .

"When did I fall asleep again?" She asked, loud enough this time for Arloh to hear.

"As soon as you were done running from me, screaming your head off and sat down," He answered with a hint of sass, still focused on his book.

"Oh...I'm sorry about that" Rei mumbled from behind Arloh which made him stop flipping the page of his book and slowly turn to face her.

"Did you just apologize? What for?" He asked ,both shocked that an apology came from Rei of all people but also not quite sure what she was apologizing for.

"Oh I'm just sorry I didn't actually, literally,scream your head off your stupid neck, and put you out of your- ow ow! Ow!!" Rei was interrupted in the middle of her snarky comeback as she felt a sharp pain suddenly in her head.

She curled up a little grabbing the sides of her head and grimacing in pain. Arloh who was rolling his eyes to no surprise of the answer she had given was now concerned as he got up and rushed to her.

"Are you okay? Let's get out of here, we should be done here by now anyways " he said picking up her bag and extending his hand to help her get up from the chair.

Rei didn't respond and just kept grabbing her head still wincing from the pain.

"Wait one second I will get the teacher," Arloh now in a mode of urgency rushed to the door of the mostly empty classroom , it was locked.

"What the? Locked?" He said as he shook and twisted the handle over and over trying to get the door open.

"did someone lock us in here?" He complained now feeling a bit stressed as he quickly rushed over to the teachers desk , luckily their phones where on it.

He picked up his phone and noticed the time when he put the screen on, it was fashionably late , the school day had ended about two hours ago, how irresponsible of the teacher to forget to dismiss them, surely the janitor while cleaning must have lazily decided to skip this classroom today and locked the doors and went off whistling or something of the sorts.

But there was no time to start wondering about who's terrible work led to this he had to act fast , Rei was still clutching her head and in pain.

"Oh my goodness, my phone is dead," he said in frustration as his phone suddenly died as he was about to make a call, he picked up Rei's phone and it was also dead, or maybe turned off? But it didn't matter she wasn't going to be able to use it or unlock it anyways.

Arloh frantically looked around noticing the windows that led out of the building, luckily they were on the ground floor. He picked up a chair and started to hit the glass with it until it smashed open.

"Okay Rei we have to get out of here, so don't get mad," he warned as he approached the girl who had still not lifted her head since.

He put her phone in a side pocket of her bag and carried both their bags in one hand and helped her up with the other.

Carefully he helped her climb out the window but she was in no condition to walk as they ended up just outside behind the school grounds.

With the school entrance way over on the other side , the fact that everyone who could help at this point probably already left, and that the schools location wasn't a very busy street, they won't likely be running into people passing by that would help for at least a ten minute walk.

Arloh acted fast and with Rei still out of sorts ,he got her on his back in a 'piggyback' and started walking. They would have to at least make the trek around to the school entrance and ask the security guard for help or walk to the nearest bus stop or hope a taxi passed buy and go to a hospital.

*At least she didn't try to strangle me as I put her on my back....what's she doing up there?* Arloh thought to himself as he walked along the quiet street with her on his back .

To his surprise and relief,Rei had stopped wincing and moving around and seemed to be fast asleep on his back almost as soon as he had started walking, he wasn't worried as he could feel her breathing rather calmly and what also felt like drool....heavens, he hoped it wasn't.

After about six minutes of walking in silence Rei jerked to wakefulness on his back, her eyes snapped open and she lifted her head so fast it almost threw Arloh off balance.

"Hey put me dow- ah!! that stings so bad," she was about to raise hell but the pain made her realize and accept Arloh was doing her a favor much faster.

"You better stay put , I'm just trying to help a classmate in need here, I'm not going to eat you or something," Arloh said, looking up as far as he could from that angle at her.

"T-thank you," Rei said quietly and rested her head on his back, at this point she hated it but was just in no condition to fight and not accept the help, Remi's masculinity cried outrage from deep within, but he knew he would just have to pretend this event never happened in the future, Arloh would never know anyways, he was helping someone else. Rei ,not Remi.

"Anything you want to add to that thank you?" Arloh asked , learning from last time that there was surely no way she meant a honest thank you.

"No, just thank you this time" Rei replied from his back with a tired voice.

"Oh" Arloh smiled a bit , hoping she didn't see, "well that's nice."

"Hmmm.." Rei hummed in agreement,then followed up with a question . "Why are you even helping me, don't you hate me?"

"What? Why would I leave a classmate in such condition, what makes you think that?" Arloh raised a brow , wondering how he had earned such a reputation in her head.

"Well why do you think I don't like you ?" Rei asked,along a failed attempt to lift her head.

"I don't know I thought you just have intense mood swings," he answered with a light shrug.

"No Amos, it's not mood swings " she answered with a little more sternness in her voice now.

"My name is Arloh.....but then what is it?" He asked , followed by a failed attempt to stop a car that sped right past them. "I mean you did mention that I know why you don't like me earlier when we argued at gym class, what did you mean by that?"

"Genuinely...I want to know if I did something wrong" he added after a brief pause.

Rei took a few seconds to contemplate before deciding to spell it out for him.

"Look...Aaron.."

"It's Arloh"

"Whatever...." She dismissed his protest and continued , "I know I can be annoying sometimes and maybe I'm just bad at first impressions.. but I remember you being very cold and unwelcoming to me when I joined this school, almost like you wanted me to just disappear, I'm not blind you know? I saw the way you'd look at me", she said , pausing to take breather .

"And like... I never did anything to you, I'm sure. it was obvious you didn't like me, you were quite rude when we got paired in chemistry class and ignored me when I asked you where the rest rooms were and any other time we made eye contact you looked at me like I killed your dog ". She explained ,while her head was rested on his back the whole time.

Arloh didn't say anything , afterall ,all the events she mentioned were true ,he was quite cold to her ever since she showed up at school and was never going to give her a chance to be seen in a better light by him , that was until that Friday he helped her out and actually got to understand he may have had a wrong image of her in his head.

"So you can imagine being me when all of a sudden this guy who hates my guts suddenly starts trying to be nice to me , talking about us being familiar on some Friday that I don't remember any events of.." she continued as Arloh followed her words attentively, dragging himself and her on his back down the pavement.

"I know your plan , I've seen this before, when they don't accept a person, they decide to have a laugh at your expense, pretend to be your friend, if you accept it they then fake it all to lead you to a moment where they can embarass you" she said , with a little spite in her tone, as if recalling a grudge.

"Wait, did someone do this to you?" Arloh asked, coming to a halt.

"What? N-No ,it's none of your business," she exclaimed , getting rather defensive . "if I wasn't too weak to move right now I'd have finished the fight I started earlier once and for all" she said with as much intimidation her tired body could throw in.

"You really don't trust me .. well I'll take the first step to clear things up." He said ,and resumed the trek .

"I'm sorry Rei..." He said softly, his shoes kicked up little pebbles in the pavement as he walked in awkward silence for a few seconds before continuing, " you are right , I was being excessively hostile to you, that was because I had created an impression of you based off someone else who I felt you were similar with and didn't like...I shouldn't have done that."

"So you are NOT ...taking me someplace to bury me alive and be done for?" Rei asked , still rested on his back.

"No...no I'm not" Arloh assured calmly.

"Oh.....then I'm sorry too, for punching you in the face."Rei muttered almost in a forced tone.

"It was more of tickles, cos they never landed" Arloh commented and chuckled.

"Ow!" He gasped as Rei used the last of her strength to kick the side of his legs .

"If you want to prove that you don't hate my guts and that I shouldn't hate you as well, move faster horsey!!" She Commanded in excitement, but was immediately shutdown by the sharp headaches again and went back to quietly resting her head on Arloh's back , afterall ,she had no choice but to hope he was actually helping her.

"Are you alright?" Asked Arloh.

"Hmmm" she hummed to confirm she was fine.

"So....do you really remember nothing from that Friday?" Arloh asked again to confirm once and for all.

"Nothing at all.." Rei said with a clicking sound from her tongue, "I even feel I forgot a lot of other parts of days as well" .

"That sounds serious, and with the headaches you're having now , you need to go to a hospital." Arloh warned in concern as they finally arrived at a busy street with a bus stop not very far ahead.

"Well my mom works at a medical institution, do you think you can call her for me?" Rei suggested.

"My phone is dead, and I think yours is too, just tell me the place and I can get us there, you should be able to hold on right? Or should I be more urgent about this?" He asked , wondering if she would be fine to make it to the nearest hospital.

"I'll be fine , I'm already feeling slightly better"

"Alright , tell me the address and I'll quickly get us a cab there" Arloh said as he managed to signal and stop a cab with his hands still holding her up on his back.

"What's going on? What are we doing here?" She asked using her little bit of energy to look around in confusion, "why am I on your back ?".

"What are you talking about Rei?... And you finally got my name right... Come on let's get in the cab and get you to the hospital " Arloh answered rather dismissively as he was focused on helping her into the backseat of the cab, the driver was already looking impatient.

After they were both in and the car started to move Arloh turned to Rei who was still very out of sorts and could barely move.
