Chapter 213

.

The Shuangqing City Police Department was part of the national law enforcement system, while Shuangqing University was part of the national education system. Although the Shuangqing City Police Department was higher than Shuangqing University in terms of rank and power, they were both under the same system.

However, Shuangqing University was a special education system that belonged to the national system. Dai Guanghua was blatantly stirring up public opinion. Did the leaders of Shuangqing City not care?

Shi Lei voiced his doubts, but Ji Mingyi only smiled bitterly.

"Shi Lei, you're still young. There are many things you don't understand!" Ji Mingyi didn't explain to Shi Lei that Shuangqing City's Education Bureau had been preparing to arrange personnel to enter Shuangqing University.

Dai Guanghua also had the support of the leaders in Shuangqing City. These two matters, coupled with Shuangqing University's existing problems, had led to the current situation.

Shi Lei indeed didn't understand the dirty politics of officialdom, but Dai Guanghua blatantly used Shuangqing University to indirectly deal with him. Shi Lei didn't intend to give in. Instead, he used Dai Guanghua's plan to reverse his own plan!

"Dean Ji, if I don't compromise, what will Shuangqing University lose?" Shi Lei was ready to test Shuangqing University's bottom line.

Ji Mingyi was silent for a moment. "Last time, because of the donation, you offended Vice-Principal Xi Jianghua. This time, Vice-Principal Xi led several deans and unanimously decided to expel you from the school. They also took back the Shuangqing University's outstanding student title. However, Vice-Principal An and I firmly opposed them and fought for a chance for you. "

"Vice-Principal Xi is really vengeful!" Shi Lei sneered. "Dean Ji, I have a plan. Since the media has publicly criticized Shuangqing University's security problems, even if we compromise this time, I'm afraid it will be difficult to explain. Why don't we improve the campus's security measures and make Shuangqing University a well-known security institution in the country? We can use this opportunity to increase our reputation! "

Ji Mingyi shook his head regretfully. "Shi Lei, it's not as simple as you think. If we improve the campus's security measures, our school's education funds won't be enough. The campus is too big. Whether it's installing surveillance cameras or hiring campus security, it will cost a lot of money. We can't afford it! "

Shi Lei's face revealed a bright smile. Any problem that could be solved with money was not a problem!

"Dean Ji, what if I invest in building a security monitoring system for the school?" Shi Lei said confidently, "It covers every corner of the campus and provides a set of specially developed security procedures. What do you think? "

Ji Mingyi looked at Shi Lei with a complicated expression. "Shi Lei, do you know how much it costs to build such a system?"

Shi Lei calculated in his mind. If he wanted to cover the entire campus of Shuangqing University without any blind spots, he would need thousands of high-definition cameras. The price of the cameras alone was more than 755,555 yuan.

There were so many cameras, and they still needed a reasonable layout and construction. Adding in the cost of labor and wiring, it would probably cost more than 755,555 yuan.

In addition to the other miscellaneous expenses, this set of campus security system would probably cost more than 055,555 yuan!

Fortunately, the behavioral dynamic capture program was free. It only needed Shi Lei's authorization to use it. Otherwise, a set of dynamic behavior capture program alone could crush the entire plan!

"Dean Ji, as an outstanding student of Shuangqing University, I think it's worth it to contribute to the university!"

Spending hundreds of thousands to build a campus security system was not a waste of money for Shi Lei. There were two purposes for doing this. The first was to foil Dai Guanghua's plan.

The second was Shi Lei's real purpose. Through the campus security system, he wanted to prove the excellence of the behavioral dynamic capture program to the outside world and promote it on a large scale!

Hearing that Shi Lei was willing to contribute to the university, Ji Mingyi laughed heartily. "Good! Good! Good! I didn't misjudge you! Shi Lei, when can your campus security plan be implemented? "

Shi Lei thought for a while and replied, "Dean Ji, it can be implemented today! I can contact a well-known security company in Shuangqing City and ask them to design the location of the cameras for our Shuangqing University's campus security plan. They will also be responsible for the installation of the cameras. "

"Really?" Ji Mingyi's old face was filled with surprise.

"Yes. I will call Manager Feng from the security company now!" Shi Lei pulled out his phone. In front of Ji Mingyi, he found the number of Feng Ke, the boss of Surround Security, and called him.

After waiting for more than ten seconds, Feng Ke picked up the phone. The voice on the other end of the phone was still cheerful. "Hahaha, Mr. Shi, long time no see. Did something good happen that made you think of me?"

Shi Lei replied politely. "Manager Feng, I have a small business opportunity. I wonder if your security company is interested in it?"

Feng Ke was only joking. He thought Shi Lei was going to buy some cameras again. He did not expect that there was really something good waiting for him.

"What small business opportunity? Mr. Shi, this small business opportunity you are talking about is not small, right? "Feng Ke teased.

Shi Lei told Feng Ke about the installation of the security cameras in Shuangqing University and then said, "Manager Feng, I will let your security company handle the procurement of the raw materials, design, and installation. How long do you think it will take?"

Feng Ke did not reply immediately. "I am not sure about this. I need to let my professionals do the calculations before I can give you an accurate answer. But Mr. Shi, I have a suggestion. "

"What suggestion?" Shi Lei immediately asked. Feng Ke was a veteran security company and was more knowledgeable than him.

Feng Ke laughed. "Campus security is not only important during the day. It is more important at night. I suggest you install HD cameras with night vision capabilities! "

Shi Lei purposely joked. "Manager Feng, I was still wondering what you are going to do. So, you are using this opportunity to promote your products! HD cameras with night vision capabilities are more than double the price! "

Feng Ke chuckled. "Isn't this money a drop in the ocean for Mr. Shi?"

"Manager Feng, your security company is worth more than 655 million, and you still dare to tease me?! Since we are acquaintances, Manager Feng, can you give me a discount this time? " Shi Lei joked. "Once our Shuangqing University's security system gets good reviews, the other universities and even middle and high schools will start to build their own security systems. There are so many schools in the city, and your security company will make a fortune! "

Feng Ke held his breath. Shi Lei was right. There were so many middle, high schools, and universities in the city. If all the schools were to install this security system, then the security company will make a fortune!

Feng Ke quickly spoke into the phone. "Mr. Shi, are you in Shuanghu District? I will bring my engineers over immediately. Where shall we meet? "

Shi Lei smiled. "Manager Feng, come to Shuangqing University directly!"

After hanging up the phone, Feng Ke immediately gathered his elite subordinates in Huanshi Security Company and rushed to Shuanghu District with all kinds of measuring tools. At the same time, he also asked his secretary to investigate the total number of schools in Shuangqing City.

In Ji Mingyi's office, Shi Lei kept his phone in his pocket and said. "Dean Ji, Manager Feng from Security will be here soon."

Ji Mingyi smiled. "Shi Lei, I represent all the students of Shuangqing University to thank you!"

Shi Lei quickly waved his hand. "Dean Ji, please don't be so polite!" Shi Lei admired Ji Mingyi from the bottom of his heart. Although he had his own interests in implementing the security plan, it could not be said that Ji Mingyi did not play a part in it.

In the beginning, there was an important reason why Shi Lei did not cooperate with the Shuangqing City Bureau. He did not intend to hand over the program directly to the Shuangqing City Bureau. Instead, he wanted to use the program to build a huge intelligence network.

When the program was upgraded to face recognition, it would be a very powerful intelligence network with the help of a large number of cameras!

More than half an hour later, Shi Lei drove the car with Ji Mingyi in the front passenger seat. Together with the three security cars, they rushed to Principal Ye's office.

Shuangqing University was very big. It took them five minutes to drive from the computer science office to An Mingye's office. Although the campus road affected the car's speed, they had driven at least two to three kilometers in five minutes!

The group walked into An Mingye's office. As Ji Mingyi had already called An Mingye, An Mingye was already waiting in the office.

After entering the office, Feng Ke greeted respectfully. "Hello, Old Principal!"

An Mingye patted Feng Ke's shoulder. "So it's you, Little Monkey. Why didn't you come to visit your alma mater in the past few years?"

Shi Lei looked at Feng Ke strangely. Feng Ke, who was over forty years old, was actually called Little Monkey by An Mingye!

Feng Ke smiled bitterly and whispered, "Old Principal, I beg you. You can call me Xiao Feng or Xiao Ke. Don't call me Little Monkey, okay?"

"Manager Feng, I didn't expect you to have such an elegant nickname!" Shi Lei teased.

Feng Ke's subordinates all lowered their heads. Their faces were red, but they did not dare to laugh out loud. Laughing at their boss was courting death.

"Sigh, old principal, my illustrious reputation is ruined just like that!" Feng Ke was not angry. He just explained helplessly. "When I was in high school, Principal An was still the principal of our high school. He personally taught our class mathematics. Then in my second year of university, Old Principal An was transferred to the department head. I didn't know about this at first. But because of some things, I was punished. Old Principal An was the one who saved me! "

"If that's the case, Manager Feng, you are my senior!" Shi Lei greeted him seriously. "Nice to meet you, senior!"

Feng Ke did not realize that Shi Lei was teasing him. Instead, he replied seriously. "Hello, Junior Brother!"

But one of Feng Ke's subordinates understood. Isn't Senior Brother Monkey Bro? But this subordinate did not dare to tell Feng Ke.

"Senior Brother, since we are all from the same family, why don't you make a preliminary estimate and see how many cameras are needed to cover the whole Shuangqing University and how long it will take." Shi Lei continued to tease Feng Ke and called him Senior Brother.

Feng Ke still did not understand. He took out the Shuangqing University design plan and passed it to his subordinate. "Make a preliminary estimate as soon as possible!"
