Chapter 680

.

Emerald Building, Dream Entertainment's new temporary headquarters. Currently, it was surrounded by all kinds of reporters. These reporters were all waiting outside Dream Entertainment to dig for breaking news.

Once they found out that Dream Entertainment, or Mirui Technology's other subsidiaries had started to move out, all the major news media would definitely report it!

Most of the news media only cared about attracting the attention of the audience. They usually didn't care about other things. Especially if the news reported was true or not, it didn't matter much.

Shi Lei drove directly into the underground parking lot and took the elevator to the 83th floor. At this moment, the benefits of Mirui Technology's subsidiary leasing the entire 82th and 83th floors of Emerald Building were obvious. Occupying two floors of offices by themselves made it impossible for the reporters to sneak into the company, ensuring the stability of the company's internal environment and personnel.

When Shi Lei walked into Dream Entertainment, Xie Hui was waiting for him. Most of the staff of Epic Chapter were also waiting for Shi Lei.

If Dream Entertainment moved out of the Xia Xia, what would happen to the employees? Would they leave with the company? Or would they be forced to resign?

"Mr. Shi, Dream Entertainment's official player forum has been temporarily closed. Next, we should …" Before Xie Hui could finish, he was interrupted by Shi Lei.

"Old Xie, the company will operate as usual!" Shi Lei glanced at the confused employees of Epic Chapter, as well as the members of Shuiyun Studio, who were pretending to be calm, and continued, "Don't worry, everyone. Currently, the board of directors of Mirui Technology has already come up with a preliminary plan. They are negotiating with the Shuangqing government. If the negotiations go well, the previous decision will be nullified. "

Xie Hui whispered, "What if the negotiations don't succeed?"

Shi Lei glanced at Xie Hui and then looked around at the other employees. He found that they were all eagerly waiting for the answer. Shi Lei could only smile bitterly. "The company will not forget or mistreat anyone who has contributed to the company. If the final decision is still to move out of the Xia Xia, Mirui Technology will set up a branch in Treasure Island. Our subsidiary in the Xia Xia region will remain unchanged and become the Treasure Island branch. Of course, if anyone doesn't want to go to Treasure Island, the company won't force them. "

After hearing Shi Lei's explanation, both the Epic Chapter development team and the people working in Shuiyun Club of the Sword Spirit Game Engine were relieved.

Shi Lei went to basement five after he was done encouraging his employees. Through Dream Entertainment's official website and with the support of the Shuangqing government, he released an announcement.

…

[Dream Entertainment's Technical Rumor Refutation Announcement]

Regarding the Central TV News and Online Entertainment Review Department's suspicion that Dream Entertainment's game, World of Heroes, has the ability to endanger public safety, Dream Entertainment would like to refute the rumors as follows:

6. The Hero's World's Somatosensory System is only used for bare-handed movements, so it has a certain amount of memory. The principle was no different from free boxing, except that it sped up the memorization process.

7. None of the operating systems in the Hero's World have the drawback of weakening the player's memory.

8. Characters not controlled by players in the Hero's World do not possess true intelligence. Please distinguish between virtual reality and reality.

Finally, they told the players a piece of good news. Under the coordination of the Shuangqing City Government, Dream Entertainment and the Online Entertainment Review Department were in the midst of a second round of discussions. This round of discussions would ultimately decide whether or not Dream Entertainment would withdraw from Xia Xia.

…

After Dream Entertainment's announcement was released, the players of Xia Xia cheered. Although it wasn't confirmed yet, at least for now, it seemed like Dream Entertainment had hope of staying. It wouldn't be like before, when they were about to withdraw from the Xia Xia market.

Although the overseas players were unhappy, they didn't complain too much. They only urged Dream Entertainment to release the Hero's World as soon as possible.

After Shi Lei released the announcement in basement five's computer room, he received a notification from Meng Xun. Shi Lei was requested to go to the Zhongyu District's City Hall personally to discuss Dream Entertainment's matter.

Of course, Mu Shuang would be involved in the business negotiations. Although the target of this negotiation was a little weird, bringing Mu Shuang along could still improve their relationship, right?

Shi Lei took the elevator to the 83th floor. In Mu Shuang's office, he didn't explain much. Instead, he pulled Mu Shuang out.

"Ah? Shi Lei, what are you doing? "Mu Shuang looked at Shi Lei in confusion. However, she didn't break free from Shi Lei's grip.

"Mu Shuang, let's go to the Zhongyu District's Shuangqing Government. The 'big shot' from the Online Entertainment Review Department is here. They want us to go to the Shuangqing Government in person. "Shi Lei's tone was somewhat sarcastic when he mentioned the big shot.

If the Online Entertainment Review Department's review work was done properly, there probably wouldn't be many online games in Xia Xia that passed.

Half an hour later, at 7: 55 p.m. on May 6st, Shi Lei and Mu Shuang arrived at the Shuangqing Government. Under the guidance of the staff, they went directly to the City Hall's conference room.

There were a total of six people sitting in the conference room.

Shi Lei recognized the three people in Shuangqing. They were the First Deputy Mayor, Meng Xun, Shuangqing's Police Chief, Bai Qiang, and Shuangqing's Deputy Mayor, Xie Nanfeng, who was in charge of economic power.

They were two allies and one enemy.

Although Shi Lei didn't know the other three people, he could guess that they were the staff of the Online Entertainment Review Department. In other words, they were the legendary 'big shots'!

Meng Xun purposely said in a dissatisfied tone, "Director Shi, you're a busy man!"

Shi Lei understood and said apologetically, "Good afternoon, Mayor Meng."

With the staff of the Online Entertainment Review Department present, and Xie Nanfeng, who wasn't from the same faction, Shi Lei and Meng Xun kept a distance.

Mu Shuang nodded politely to Bai Qiang. Bai Qiang was her uncle. Although there were some misunderstandings between the two families' older generations, Bai Qiang was still an elder. Moreover, Bai Qiang treated Mu Shuang very well.

"Director Shi, let's cut the crap and get straight to the point!" Meng Xun went straight to the point. "I don't need to introduce Director Bai and Mayor Xie, right?"

"Yes! Director Bai and I have known each other for a long time. As for Mayor Xie, we have a good relationship! "Shi Lei looked at Xie Nanfeng with a smile.

Xie Nanfeng was the deputy mayor in charge of the economy in Shuangqing City. How could he not be shrewd? Facing Shi Lei's provocative words, Xie Nanfeng smiled lightly. "Mayor Meng, maybe you don't know that Director Shi and I have known each other for a long time!"

Shi Lei and Xie Nanfeng looked at each other and smiled. They had a tacit understanding, as if they had been friends for many years.

How could Meng Xun not know the relationship between Shi Lei and Xie Nanfeng?

"Director Shi, let me introduce you. This is Director Wan of the Online Entertainment Review Department." Meng Xun hinted at Wan Shuquan who was sitting in the middle with his eyes.

Wan Shuquan glanced at Shi Lei with no expression on his face. He was going to retire and didn't want to have any trouble. Originally, he belonged to the sequence of postponing his retirement. If something went wrong, Wan Shuquan's retirement life might not be very pleasant.

"Hello, Director Wan! I am Shi Lei, the CEO of Dream Entertainment. "Shi Lei introduced himself politely.

Wan Shuquan nodded and responded calmly, "Hmm!"

Meng Xun introduced again, "This is Mr. Wei Dongcheng on the left, and Mr. Xiang Jihua on the right. They are both senior staff of the Legal Section of the Online Entertainment Review Department. They are mainly responsible for the review of Dream Entertainment."

Wei Dongcheng and Xiang Jihua were both middle-aged. They were not as lecherous as Tian Weiming. For the beautiful Mu Shuang, they just looked at her and then withdrew their eyes, which made Shi Lei very satisfied.

"Mr. Wei, Mr. Xiang, nice to meet you!" Shi Lei showed his kindness with a smile on his face.

The two responded to Shi Lei's kindness one after another and showed a polite attitude.

After the introduction, the discussion began. Shi Lei first put forward his position. "Director Wan, we, Dream Entertainment, will never hand over the source code of the somatosensory operating system. As for the source code of the human bionic action system, we will not hand it over either. In fact, we, Dream Entertainment, will not hand over any data source code of the Brave World. "

Shi Lei's tone was a little aggressive. He directly rejected the previous administrative order of the Online Entertainment Review Department with an absolute attitude.

Meng Xun didn't show a surprised look. Shi Lei had already communicated with Meng Xun about this answer. Dream Entertainment would not make any concessions on this issue.

Wan Shuquan's eyes were half-closed, as if he was in a trance and didn't hear Shi Lei's words at all. Until Wei Dongcheng coughed to remind Wan Shuquan, he came back to his senses and said slowly, "How can Dream Entertainment guarantee the safety of the Brave World? Or to put it another way, how can Dream Entertainment guarantee that the players of the Brave World will not threaten the social public safety? We have already investigated the situation of the player Qi Xinzhou. Although the CCTV News has some exaggerations, the somatosensory operating system of the Brave World does threaten the social public safety. "

Shi Lei said calmly, "We, Dream Entertainment, have already issued a rumor-refuting announcement. It's written very clearly. If you don't believe it, I have a proposal!"

"What proposal?" Wan Shuquan asked directly. This also meant that the Online Entertainment Review Department didn't believe the rumor-refuting announcement of Dream Entertainment.

"We will randomly select 655 players from all over the country. Two months later, we will gather them together and arrange for a martial arts test. According to Qi Xinzhou's standard, 655 players should become very powerful in two months, right? At that time, we can judge whether the somatosensory operating system of the Brave World will destroy the social public safety! "Shi Lei said his proposal.

Meng Xun interrupted, "This proposal is good! It's fair to Dream Entertainment and reasonable to the Online Entertainment Review Department. After all, the Online Entertainment Review Department is also thinking about the social safety! Director Wan, what do you think? "

Wan Shuquan was silent. Wei Dongcheng and Xiang Jihua were reading the materials. The atmosphere in the conference room became heavy. Until about ten minutes later, Wan Shuquan suddenly said, "Two months is too long. There are too many variables!"

"Director Wan, what do you mean?" Shi Lei asked.
