Chapter 972

.

Nanyue State, Mang Street City, Dark Hell City East Stronghold.

Shi Lei had successfully activated the second-generation The First Light. Shi Lei tried to walk a few steps inside the integrated equipment and then turned around to pick up the alloy sword and shield set. As for the pitch-black imitation electromagnetic cannon, Shi Lei didn't take it out.

Through the loudspeaker, Shi Lei ordered Ye Feng, "A Feng, get ready to start the test!"

Before the test of the second-generation The First Light, there was a basic performance test, which included the test of combat power and defense power.

"Boss, why don't you leave the testing to us?" Ye Feng suggested again.

What if there was a problem with the second-generation The First Light and Shi Lei got hurt?

Although the second-generation The First Light had passed Izur's simulation test, it was better to be safe than sorry.

Shi Lei did not reject Ye Feng's kindness. He unlocked The First Light's cockpit and replaced Ye Feng in The First Light. Ye Feng had driven The First Light before, so he had no problem driving The First Light.

When Ye Feng drove the second-generation The First Light to the East Stronghold's main hall, a specially modified armored off-road vehicle was parked in the middle of the hall.

The armored off-road vehicle parked in the middle of the hall was not a real armored off-road vehicle, but a modified imitation. By welding steel plates on the outside of the off-road vehicle, it was transformed into an armored off-road vehicle.

This type of armored off-road vehicle originated from Mang Street City's black car dealer, Pan Wenran. This person was also from Xia Xia. In Mang Street City's underground circle, he was close to Lonely Massacre.

Ye Feng drove the second-generation The First Light with a shield in his left hand and a sword in his right. The test that Shi Lei gave him was to drive The First Light and destroy the armored off-road vehicle.

"Boss, I'm ready. Should we start?" Ye Feng asked Shi Lei. The First Light's on-board communication system was connected to Shi Lei's communication channel.

Shi Lei put on his radio headset and replied, "Start the test!"

As soon as Shi Lei's voice fell, the 7nd Generation Aurora quickly moved. Its movement speed was very fast, as if it was teleporting. It covered a distance of 75 meters in a flash.

Ye Feng controlled The First Light, raised the heavy alloy sword, and slashed it at the armored off-road vehicle.

"Creak!"

The welded steel plates on the exterior of the armored off-road vehicle made an unpleasant deforming sound. The second-generation The First Light was very powerful. It had four independent limbs and was equipped with a 689 horsepower high-energy motor.

The high-strength alloy heavy sword slashed down from the top of the armored off-road vehicle, almost splitting the vehicle in half from the middle. After slashing once, Ye Feng stopped and waited for Shi Lei's next order.

"Continue!" Shi Lei ordered. "Destroy it completely!"

Following Shi Lei's order, Ye Feng drove the second-generation The First Light as if he had entered a crazy mode. The heavy alloy sword kept slashing at the armored off-road vehicle.

After more than 75 seconds, the entire armored off-road vehicle was almost torn to pieces by The First Light. Looking at the broken pieces on the ground, if he hadn't known in advance that it was an armored off-road vehicle, he would never have imagined it.

"Stop! Check if the heavy alloy sword is damaged, "Shi Lei said to Ye Feng.

Ye Feng stopped and checked the condition of the heavy alloy sword through the transparent HUD. After careful comparison, Ye Feng was sure that the heavy alloy sword didn't have any signs of damage. Even the edge of the blade wasn't curled. Of course, if the heavy alloy sword originally had an edge?

The edge of the heavy alloy sword was very blunt. It wasn't because it wasn't sharpened, but because it was designed to be blunt. After all, it weighed 715 kilograms and had excellent hardness. It didn't need the heavy alloy sword to be very sharp.

A sharp alloy heavy sword might instead cause the blade to become sluggish.

"Boss, the heavy alloy sword isn't damaged!" Ye Feng answered Shi Lei.

The alloy sword was in perfect condition. This was completely within Shi Lei's expectations. If a knockoff armored off-road vehicle could be damaged so easily, then wouldn't the material Li Chai chose be too weak?

"Very good!" Shi Lei was very satisfied with the first test of the second-generation The First Light. This test didn't just test the strength of the heavy alloy sword. It also tested the strength of the limbs of The First Light.

The limbs of the second-generation The First Light were independently powered. If the strength of the limbs wasn't enough, it would be very easy for the limbs to be destroyed when faced with 689 horsepower!

"Begin the second test!" Shi Lei picked up a Barrett M37A6 sniper rifle. The M37A6 sniper rifle dominated the 67.2mm sniper rifle market.

Shi Lei carried the M37A6 sniper rifle to the second floor of the foothold in the east of the city. He instructed Ye Feng to only use his left hand to hold the shield and test the defense of the alloy shield. He also tested the strength of The First Light's limbs again.

The 67.2mm sniper rifle was very powerful. The distance between Shi Lei and The First Light was less than 05 meters. At such a close distance, if the defense of the shield wasn't enough, it was very likely that it would hurt Ye Feng.

Considering this situation, Shi Lei thought about it and decided to test the defense of the shield first. Shi Lei ordered Ye Feng to put the shield on the ground and asked him to move to the side and not block the alloy shield.

Ye Feng followed Shi Lei's instructions and put the alloy shield on the ground. He drove The First Light to the side.

Shi Lei aimed at the alloy shield on the ground and pulled the trigger!

"Bang! Clang! Ding!"

The loud sound of the Barrett M37A6 gunshot rang out, followed by the loud sound of metal colliding. Then, there was a smaller sound of metal colliding. The slender and heavy sniper bullet had a powerful kinetic energy and hit the alloy shield.

The alloy shield, which cost 9 million Xia yuan, wasn't shattered by the 67.2mm sniper bullet. It only had a small dent. The sniper bullet ricocheted and hit Ye Feng on the side.

Even though some of the force was offset by the alloy shield, the 67.2mm sniper bullet was still very powerful. It actually knocked down Ye Feng, who was unprepared, to the ground.

Shi Lei immediately asked nervously, "A Feng, are you hurt?"

Inside the second-generation The First Light, Ye Feng didn't have time to figure out what was going on. He felt himself being knocked to the ground. The 67.2mm bullet had a powerful kinetic energy. Although it knocked down Ye Feng, it didn't cause any damage to Ye Feng.

The First Light's armor plate had clearly blocked the attack of the sniper bullet.

On the transparent HUD display, the on-board main system automatically reported that after being attacked, the body was 655% intact. The attack just now didn't cause any damage.

Even Ye Feng, under the protection of The First Light's excellent shock absorption system, didn't suffer any damage. If there had to be a damage report, would the dust on The First Light be considered a loss?

"Boss, I'm not hurt!" Ye Feng quickly replied. "The First Light isn't damaged either!"

Shi Lei put down the Barrett M37A6 sniper rifle in his hands and picked up the M9A6 carbine hanging in front of his chest. He aimed at The First Light and fired.

"Ding ding ding!"

The second-generation The First Light's alloy armor plate completely ignored the attack of the M9A6 carbine. Not even a white mark was left on the alloy armor plate.

Ye Feng was shocked at first, but then he understood that this was Shi Lei's test.

"Boss, I don't feel any damage!" Ye Feng reported the situation and expressed his feelings. "Boss, the kinetic energy of the M9A6's muzzle probably can't cause any damage to The First Light."

Shi Lei could already see that the second-generation The First Light's defense was completely like a turtle's shell. In a street fight, it was really not easy to win against The First Light!

After the simple test, Shi Lei was satisfied with the second-generation The First Light.

"A Feng, hurry up and put the N780 metal inside!" Shi Lei ordered the five members of the Punishment Mercenary Team. He first demonstrated how to open the second-generation The First Light's energy storage and fill it with N780 metal.

The five members of the Punishment Mercenary Team followed Shi Lei's example and began to fill the The First Light with N780 metal.

Shi Lei complained in his heart as he filled it. "Damn Little Li, in order to save internal space, he actually made the energy storage into a non-standard shape. It's so troublesome to fill a N780 metal!"

After nearly ten minutes, the group finally finished filling the N780 metal.

"Boss, where are we going now?" The youngest member of the Punishment Mercenary Team, Zhu Mingxuan, asked. Zhu Mingxuan was still underage. After getting the second-generation The First Light, Zhu Mingxuan obviously wanted to play around!

Shi Lei laughed. He could see Zhu Mingxuan's thoughts. Even he had the same idea. The second-generation The First Light was like a big toy in the hands of a naughty child. It had great destructive power.

"Let's go to Xia Long Bay Research Base!" Shi Lei said with a smile.

Xia Long Bay Research Base was about a hundred kilometers away from Mang Jie City. Even if they took a large truck, it would only take about an hour to get there. At the same time, Xia Long Bay Research Base was very valuable.

This research base did not research any self-developed technology. Instead, it researched foreign technology and then copied it. In terms of copying, Nanyue State and Xia Xia's companies had similar skills.

"Xia Long Bay Research Base? Boss, there's a naval base in Xia Long Bay. Isn't it too dangerous for us to attack the research base? " Ye Feng was obviously more familiar with Nanyue State. Ye Feng knew almost all the forces around Mang Jie City.

Did Shi Lei not know that there was a Nanyue State naval base in Xia Long Bay?

Of course Shi Lei knew!

It was because he knew that there was a naval base in Xia Long Bay that Shi Lei chose the research base. When Xia Long Bay Research Base was attacked, Shi Lei wanted to see how the second-generation The First Light would perform against the Nanyue State navy!
