Chapter 94

HK542 House Purchase

Shi Lei held the phone and was startled. The house in Jingya Court actually belonged to Zhang Song?

"Teacher Zhang Song, hello. I'm Shi Lei. Do you still remember me? Shi Lei from the Computer Science Department. "Shi Lei introduced himself and continued to ask," Teacher Zhang Song, are you in school? If you are, let's go together and take a look at your house in Jingya Court! "

"Oh? Shi Lei! I'm in school. But don't you have class today? " Zhang Song's voice carried a hint of surprise, "Shi Lei, if I remember correctly, you should be in the PhD dormitory! Why do you want to rent a house? "

Shi Lei stammered, "This … Teacher Zhang Song, you know that I rarely go to class. There are always some things that are inconvenient in the dormitory! "

"Hahaha ~" Zhang Song laughed. He thought that Shi Lei was going to live with a girl! "Let's meet at the back door of the school!"

Shi Lei carried his laptop out and rushed to the back door of the school. The PhD dormitory was not far from the back door, but it was not close either. It would take at least five minutes to reach there.

When Shi Lei arrived, Zhang Song was already waiting there. Shi Lei hurriedly ran two steps and said apologetically, "Teacher Zhang, I'm sorry for making you wait!"

"You're welcome. I just arrived. Let's go and take a look at the house! "Zhang Song went straight to the point and brought Shi Lei to Jingya Court.

The atmosphere was very quiet along the way. Shi Lei wanted to ask Zhang Song several times why he had a house in Jingya Court, but in the end, he did not ask.

Jingya Court was located in the suburbs of Shuanghu. Even in 7551, it was still not cheap. Every square meter cost about three thousand yuan! With this price, one could buy a good quality commercial house in a good area in the main city.

Zhang Song was just an ordinary teacher in Shuangqing University. Logically speaking, he should not have the capital to buy a house in Jingya Court.

The two of them silently arrived at Jingya Court's building 75, Room 8. Zhang Song took out the key and opened the door. "Come in and have a look!" Zhang Song went in first and greeted Shi Lei.

Shi Lei followed her in and looked at the decoration of the living room. The four walls were covered with simple but elegant wallpaper. The ceramic tiles on the ground looked very delicate. They were definitely not low-quality goods. A cabinet-style air conditioner was placed in the corner of the room. It was very inconspicuous. On the other hand, there was an eye-catching big TV. It was an extremely rare LCD TV in this era, at least 95 inches!

Zhang Song crossed his arms in front of him and didn't say anything, letting Shi Lei watch quietly. After looking around the living room, Shi Lei walked into the kitchen. There was a complete set of appliances in the kitchen, such as a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a range hood, and so on. There was also a washing machine on the balcony. Shi Lei turned around and went into the bathroom.

This one bedroom and one living room bathroom was actually not small. It was about five to six square meters!

Zhang Song silently opened the bedroom door. Then, he sat on the sofa in the living room, turned on the television, and started watching. There was no computer practical class in school today, so Zhang Song had a rare chance to relax.

Shi Lei came out of the bathroom and saw the bedroom door open. He smiled and walked in to take a look. The bedroom's decoration was more comfortable. The floor was made of solid wood, and the walls were pasted with light green wallpaper. The overall style leaned towards warm colors.

"Teacher Zhang, if it's convenient, I would like to take a look at the property deed and your ID card." Shi Lei asked according to the rules.

There were many traps in renting a house. For example, renting it from someone else and then renting it out, collecting the difference in price! It wasn't that Shi Lei didn't trust Zhang Song. He was just following the rules!

Zhang Song didn't mind. In fact, he had already prepared all these. He took out a document from his bag and handed it to Shi Lei.

The document contained the original property deed and a copy of Zhang Song's ID card. Then, Zhang Song handed over the original ID card. There were no problems with all the documents!

"Teacher Zhang, how much do you intend to rent it for a month?" Shi Lei asked as he put the documents into the document and returned it to Zhang Song.

Zhang Song looked at Shi Lei teasingly and revealed a faint smile. "How long do you intend to rent it for?"

Shi Lei was a little embarrassed by Zhang Song's gaze. "Teacher Zhang, I'm living alone! Don't get the wrong idea! "

"I didn't ask you how many people are living here. You don't have to answer!" Zhang Song's smile became more obvious. Shi Lei's explanation was like a blatant lie.

"If it's possible, I intend to rent it for four years. I'll rent it for my entire university life! "Shi Lei replied. "Teacher Zhang, we know each other. Besides, I've been renting it for a long time. Give me a discount!"

Zhang Song nodded. "Shi Lei, you're a multimillionaire now. Do you still care about such a small amount of money? 155 yuan a month isn't expensive, right? It's only 2,555 yuan a year. 73,555 yuan a month for four years. How's that? "

155 yuan a month was considered a high price for a one-bedroom apartment in Shuanghu District. However, Zhang Song's one-bedroom apartment's level of decoration was completely worth the price!

Shi Lei nodded in agreement. "No problem! Let's sign the rental agreement now! "

After both parties signed a simple rental agreement, Shi Lei said awkwardly, "Teacher Zhang, give me your account number. I'll transfer the money to you through the bank. How about it? I'll leave this agreement with you for now. After I transfer the money, you can give me the agreement and keys together! "

Zhang Song shook his head. He took out six keys and handed them to Shi Lei along with the agreement. "This is the renovation key. The other five are normal keys. After I leave, you can use the normal keys to open the door. The renovation key will naturally be invalid and reimbursed, so you don't have to change the lock cylinder. Keep the agreement with you. Remember to transfer the rent to my bank account. I don't believe that a multimillionaire like you can cheat me of 73,555 yuan! "

Shi Lei took the keys and agreement with a chuckle. Then he said, "Teacher Zhang, don't worry. I'll transfer the money to you later. By the way, Teacher Zhang, I have a question, but I'm not sure if I should ask. "

Zhang Song's eyebrows twitched. "You want to ask why I bought this apartment, right?"

Shi Lei smiled sheepishly and nodded.

Zhang Song sat on the sofa and took out a pack of cigarettes. He lit one and started smoking. He handed the pack of cigarettes to Shi Lei. Shi Lei shook his head to indicate that he didn't smoke. The cigarette butt flickered as the smoke rose. Zhang Song slowly told his story.

This apartment was actually his wedding home! Zhang Song was 73 years old this year. He graduated five years ago and taught at Shuangqing University for five years. Back then, he was also a computer science student at Shuangqing University. In his third year, he fell in love with a second-year art major girl.

After graduation, their feelings for each other were still unbreakable. Until this year, when they were talking about marriage after seven years of dating, Zhang Song's parents took out their savings to help Zhang Song buy a house in Shuanghu District as his wedding home.

However, the lovers of seven years didn't end up together!

The girl who graduated from the Art Department entered an advertising company and eventually got together with the director of the advertising company. Her wedding with Zhang Song was called off from then on!

This so-called wedding home was naturally a joke!

Zhang Song finished his story calmly, but Shi Lei could see that the grief in Zhang Song's heart didn't lessen at all. Instead, it was getting stronger.

"I'm sorry, Teacher Zhang!" Shi Lei grumbled in his heart. He didn't expect that he would mention someone else's sad past!

Zhang Song shook his head, "It's okay. It's all in the past!"

"Teacher Zhang, I wonder if you're selling this house?" Shi Lei asked tentatively. To be honest, he didn't ask to buy this house because he pitied Zhang Song. He really wanted to buy this house!

According to his memories from his previous life, the price of the houses in Jingya Court had always been rising. Buying it now was equivalent to making a long-term investment. Moreover, Shi Lei liked the decoration style of this house. There was another reason. Shi Lei didn't want too many people to know what he was going to do next. Buying this house was more appropriate.

Zhang Song looked at Shi Lei without blinking. He wanted to see a trace of pity or something similar in Shi Lei's eyes, but there was none in Shi Lei's eyes.

"Do you really want to buy it?" Zhang Song asked seriously.

Shi Lei also answered seriously, "Yes!"

Zhang Song sighed, "This house has an interior area of 05 square meters and a floor area of 14 square meters. I bought it for 640,555 yuan. The decoration cost 85,555 yuan and the furniture and appliances cost 95,555 yuan. Including the recent price increase, I'll charge you a total of 725,555 yuan!"

Shi Lei calculated in his heart. Zhang Song basically didn't take any money from him. He got a great bargain. This house was Zhang Song's wedding home. He must have put in a lot of effort during the decoration process. There was no problem of skimping. Now, it was convenient for him. Shi Lei laughed in his heart!

"Teacher Zhang, let's do it this way. We'll settle all the paperwork today. It'll be 735,555 yuan. How about that?" Shi Lei took the initiative to raise the price by 65,555 yuan.

"No problem!" Zhang Song wasn't a pedantic person. He agreed immediately. The two of them immediately brought their identity documents and went to the Shuanghu District Housing Authority to settle the transfer paperwork.

After all the paperwork was done, Shi Lei directly used his laptop to transfer 755,555 USD from the Union Bank of Switzerland to the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China account. He then converted it into West Continent dollars for a total of 6.17 million yuan. Then, after transferring 735,555 yuan to Zhang Song from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, he transferred one million yuan to Ji Mingyi's account, fulfilling his promise to donate.

In the blink of an eye, 6.17 million yuan was reduced to 895,555 yuan!

After declining Zhang Song's dinner invitation, Shi Lei returned to Jingya Court, Block 2, Room 257. He was ready to move the two servers to Block 65, Room 758.

After opening the door to Ou Yangxiang's house, Shi Lei walked in quietly. Although he knew that Ou Yangxiang should be working at the police station at this time, Shi Lei still moved lightly.

However, when he walked in, he was surprised to find Ou Yangxiang cooking in the kitchen!

Ou Yangxiang heard the sound of the living room door and immediately asked, "Shi Lei, is that you?"
