Chapter 326: The Fifth Day in the Entertainment World
Chapter 326: The Fifth Day in the Entertainment World
At the same moment, the dead dog Deng Yingrui felt his vision rising. Amidst the searing pain, his canine form dissolved like an illusion as human limbs and torso re-formed...
In the blink of an eye!
The scenes switched!
Memories were chaotic and interwoven.
The lingering terror of being slaughtered flooded Deng Yingrui's mind, drowning his sanity!
"Ah—! Stay back! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!!" He screamed in a frenzy, too panicked to wonder why his boss had turned back into a dog or why the knife was now in his own hand. All that remained was his most primal instinct: to fight back!
He swung the cleaver wildly at Lu Wenshi, who stood right beside him!
Man and dog tumbled across the floor, wrestling, snarling, and cursing.
Dying and coming back, coming back and dying again—over and over.
He watched Lu Wenshi and Deng Yingrui swap identities over and over, each time enduring the terror of being killed and the rage of killing.
Their minds were crushed and torn apart, again and again, through endless cycles of death and transformation.
At first, they were still fully conscious—they felt fear, begged for mercy, and burned with anger.
But as the loop continued, those complex human emotions began to fade, replaced by something more primal and direct—
A killing instinct driven by conditioned reflexes, and a fear and aggression toward each other buried deep in their souls.
Their eyes grew hollow, yet the moment they saw each other, they'd flood with bloodshot madness.
Eventually, both in human form, they were locked in brutal combat, using every means to kill the other.
An Yi felt the time was about right.
With a wave of his hand, Lu Wenshi and Deng Yingrui collapsed to the ground, wounded and utterly exhausted. Their eyes were vacant, their chests barely rising and falling. They didn't even have the strength to lift a finger.
The pool of blood around them vanished without a trace.
An Yi rose from the sofa and walked over slowly.
He stopped between them, looking down at the two lumps of nearly unconscious flesh.
"Was that fun?" he asked. His voice was clear and gentle, like a mountain spring, yet eerily unsettling.
The sound pierced the nearly non-functioning minds of Lu Wenshi and Deng Yingrui.
Both jolted. Their unfocused eyes struggled to refocus, locking onto An Yi standing there.
Fear flooded their limbs again!
Now they understood everything!
It was him! This devil! The source of it all!
They wanted to scream, to run, but their bodies couldn't muster even a shred of strength. All they could do was gasp like fish out of water, mouths opening and closing uselessly, their eyes filled with pleading and terror.
An Yi crouched down to meet their gaze. A faint, almost gentle smile lingered on his face.
"Looks like you've had enough fun." He nodded to himself, seemingly satisfied with their state. "Now, let's talk business."
His gaze fell first on Lu Wenshi.
"President Lu." His tone was calm. "Your company, Sparkle Star Entertainment, looks pretty good to me. It's mine now. Is that alright?"
Lu Wenshi's pupils constricted sharply.
An Yi didn't wait for a response and continued: "But I don't want to manage it. Too troublesome."
"So." An Yi continued in that same gentle tone, speaking the most terrifying words: "I need you to transfer all your shares in the company, as well as all available liquid funds, to me—in a legal and voluntary manner... alright?"
He paused, watching disbelief and instinctive resistance flash in Lu Wenshi's eyes, then smiled and added: "Of course, you can refuse. So... will you refuse?"
His tone even carried a hint of negotiation, but the content sent a chill down Lu Wenshi's spine!
The horrifying memories from moments ago flooded back, drowning him. Nothing could be more terrifying than that!
"No... no... I'll give... I'll give you everything..." Lu Wenshi begged with the last of his strength, tears streaming down his face.
What were a company or wealth compared to that kind of torment? Utterly worthless!
"Good." An Yi nodded with satisfaction, then turned his gaze to Deng Yingrui, who was equally scared out of his wits.
"Agent Deng..." His smile remained gentle. "You—mediocre ability, poor character. But you can still run errands and handle miscellaneous tasks."
Deng Yingrui trembled all over, as if stared down by a venomous snake.
"I need someone obedient to handle affairs. You're quite 'suitable.'"
An Yi said slowly: "You and President Lu will stay at the company and keep working. President Lu will create value, and you'll help him manage things, ensuring my assets arrive on time and in full."
He tilted his head: "As for compensation... it's letting you live and not experiencing that game again. How about it? Fair enough?"
Fair?!
Deng Yingrui wanted to cry, wanted to curse, but under An Yi's seemingly gentle yet truly chilling gaze, he didn't dare utter a single word of refusal.
"Of course, to ensure your dedication." An Yi, as if remembering something, snapped his fingers lightly.
Two sheets of paper materialized out of thin air before Lu Wenshi and Deng Yingrui.
"Sign it." An Yi's tone left no room for argument. "This is a contract. If you dare to pay lip service, or try to leak my existence, or... fail to meet the performance targets I require..."
He didn't finish the sentence, but Lu Wenshi and Deng Yingrui's minds automatically conjured images ten times, a hundred times more terrifying than what they had just endured!
The instinctive trembling from the depths of their souls nearly made them pass out!
"We'll sign! We'll sign!" The two practically fought to sign.
A flash of light, and the contracts vanished into their foreheads, disappearing without a trace.
An invisible yet absolutely unbreakable sense of restraint instantly bound them.
The two scrambled to their knees, kowtowing to An Yi like pounding garlic, tears and snot streaming as they vowed: "We'll obey! We'll be your servants! Please spare us!"
An Yi stood up and brushed off dust that wasn't there.
"Clean this place up."
He instructed, "Then, I want to see the initial plans for the equity transfer and fund transfers. From now on, the company operates as usual—make money and grow the business, got it?"
"Got it! Got it!" Lu Wenshi and Deng Yingrui responded hurriedly.
An Yi's eyes curved into a smile—this kid had a grab bag of Qimen tricks!
Just then, the doorbell rang outside, and Lu Wenshi's phone buzzed—it was the little lover he'd called earlier.
His heart tightened, and he quickly answered, "Beat it!"
With that, he hung up and shot An Yi a groveling grin.
An Yi smiled back, then turned his gaze to Deng Yingrui.
