Chapter 418: Day 23 into the Mary Sue Story
Chapter 418 Day 23 of Being Thrown into a Mary Sue Story
Ye Ming was full of confidence in his confession and his "deeply passionate and devilishly charming" image. He believed no one could resist his pursuit—especially someone like An Yi, who appeared cold and aloof on the surface but secretly craved excitement and the thrill of the chase.
An Yi only felt a violent wave of nausea rising in his throat.
Ye Ming's words, expressions, and postures were all dripping with suffocating sleaze and self-righteousness, enough to turn anyone's stomach.
This wasn't a confession at all—it was another form of harassment and offense, an attempt to wrap his filthy desires in the guise of "true love."
"Piss off." An Yi finally spoke, with undisguised disgust.
Lu Lu had been fuming from the start: "Didn't you hear him? He said beat it!"
The "lovesick" smile on Ye Ming's face froze. He clearly hadn't expected An Yi to react this way.
Rejected? So clean-cut and decisive, with disgust on top of that? Impossible! He was Ye Ming!
"An Yi, don't be so quick to reject me." Ye Ming ignored Lu Lu, quickly schooled his features, and slapped that devilish smirk back on, though his eyes hardened with a hint of menace and innuendo:
"I know you might not be ready to accept this right now, or... you're still sore about what happened before. Give me a chance—let's start out as friends, get to know each other slowly. You'll see I'm nothing like those boring rich boys."
He shot a pointed look at Lu Lu, who was already shaking with rage, fists clenched so tight his knuckles cracked, then looked back at An Yi, dropping his voice to a tone so suggestive it made your skin crawl: "I promise, I'll show you... pleasure and excitement you've never imagined. My 'skills'... are top-notch. Wanna give 'em a try?"
That last line wasn't just a hint anymore—it was practically a dirty proposition.
An Yi finally raised his eyes and looked directly at Ye Ming.
His gaze was contemptuous. He let out a snort of derision.
Good skills?
His were way better!
Ye Ming's words lit the fuse on Lu Lu, who was already about to blow.
"What the fuck did you just say?! You piece of shit!" Lu Lu was enraged. He lunged forward in one stride, his tall frame cutting through the air like a freight train, planting himself directly between An Yi and Ye Ming, completely blocking Ye Ming's lecherous stare at An Yi.
His eyes were bloodshot with rage, his voice dripping with menace: "Who the hell do you think you are?! How dare you talk to An Yi like that?! Who gave you the balls?! Get lost! Now! Right now! Get the hell out of here!"
Ye Ming was forced back half a step by Lu Lu's sudden outburst and fierce energy, but he quickly steadied himself, his face darkening as a vicious glint flashed in his deep purple eyes.
He coldly swept a glance over Lu Lu, his tone dripping with disdain and provocation: "Lu family brat, who gave you the right to speak here? What business is it of yours what goes on between me and An Yi? What right do you have to stand here?"
"What right do I have?" Lu Lu was completely set off by that retort. What right did he have?
He roared at Ye Ming: "Because I like An Yi! I love him! You hear me?! I love An Yi! So it's my business! It's damn well my business! If you say one more dirty word to him or lay a finger on him, I, Lu Lu, will make your life a living hell!"
His mind raced through what he knew about the Ye family. He had to do something.
Lu Lu's sudden confession was fiery and scorching.
His voice echoed in the quiet front yard, freezing Ye Ming in place and making An Yi lift his eyes slightly.
Ye Ming curled the corner of his mouth into a cold, cruel smirk: "Like? Love? Ha, the naive games of a kid."
He turned his gaze back to An Yi, his tone carrying self-assured certainty and temptation: "An Yi, you can't seriously be into this childish idiot who only knows how to yell, can you? What can he give you? Boring little innocent games? With me, you'll see the real world and get everything you've ever wanted. I, Ye Ming, have never failed to get what I've set my sights on. Choose me, and you won't regret it."
He remained utterly confident, believing An Yi would ultimately be drawn in by his "charm" and "excitement," believing Lu Lu's clumsy confession was beneath notice.
He judged others by his own standards.
An Yi was pushed past his limit by the relentless sleazy confidence and harassment.
He looked at Ye Ming's face, plastered with desire and arrogance, listened to his nauseating words, and felt that lingering "knot in his chest" from the Leng Bingning incident tighten to its peak.
Reasoning with someone like this was a complete waste of time.
He told him to leave, and he wouldn't. Then there was no need for more words.
Under Ye Ming's expectant gaze, An Yi suddenly moved.
In one step, he was in front of Ye Ming. Before Ye Ming could even react, he only saw a blur, and then an indescribable, excruciating pain exploded in his abdomen!
"Ugh—!" A short, pained grunt was forced from Ye Ming's throat.
His charming, confident, greasy smile instantly twisted into extreme agony and disbelief. His eyes bulged wide, pupils constricting.
He felt as if his internal organs had been rearranged. The searing pain instantly drained all strength from his body. His vision went black, his legs gave way, and even the ridiculous bouquet of roses slipped from his hands and fell to the ground.
Then, he knew nothing more.
His body swayed, then toppled straight backward, landing with a dull thud on the ground. He lay motionless, completely unconscious.
The world fell silent.
Lu Lu's mouth hung open, still frozen in his furious shouting pose, eyes wide as saucers. He looked at the unconscious Ye Ming on the ground, then at An Yi, who was calmly retracting his fist as if he'd casually swatted a fly.
All his pent-up rage and passionate declaration got stuck in his throat, unable to go up or down. He was completely dumbfounded.
But then, Lu Lu felt his heart about to burst from his chest, pounding wildly for An Yi!
He watched An Yi standing beside the unconscious Ye Ming, his expression cold, moonlight and streetlight falling on him, outlining his silhouette. That casual, effortless way of handling trouble, so calm and composed... it was absolutely badass!
However, the silence lasted less than three seconds.
"Young master!"
"Master Ming!"
Several suppressed cries came from the shadows of the nearby greenery. In an instant, four or five dark figures darted out and gathered around the fallen Ye Ming. Each moved with agility, their expressions tense and fierce—clearly Ye Ming's personal bodyguards.
They looked at their unconscious master, shocked and furious, then turned their gazes in unison toward An Yi and Lu Lu, radiating the murderous aura typical of underworld enforcers.
