Chapter 47: The Twenty-Fifth Day of Trapped in a Political Intrigue Novel
An Yi's long black hair spilled down his back, covering the faint red marks like plum blossoms marked his skin.
Ge Lian wrapped his arms around him from behind, burying his face in the top of his hair, then gently kissed his hair. "Junheng... my Junheng..."
An Yi dressed himself quickly and glanced at him. "Put some clothes on, will you!"
An Yi felt dead inside, wondering what he had been thinking.
Last night, Ge Lian had actually climbed through the window to see him again. He'd planned to kick him out, but then...
He glanced at Ge Lian's face, then at his body. Oh well, beauty is tempting—it's only human.
An Yi silently justified himself.
Noticing An Yi's gaze, Ge Lian curled his lips into a smirk and immediately spread his arms wide, inviting him to take a good look.
An Yi: ...
"Put on some clothes, you!"
An Yi reached out to pick up the jade hairpin that had been tossed to the foot of the bed and began twisting his hair up into a bun. As he lifted his arm, he spotted the teeth marks on his wrist and couldn't help turning around and poking Ge Lian's shoulder. "Are you a dog or what?"
Halfway through dressing, Ge Lian lifted his arm to catch An Yi's hand, then brought it to his lips and lightly kissed his fingertips. Hearing An Yi's words, he grinned brightly. "Woof!"
An Yi: ...
Ge Lian: "Woof!"
A blush spread across An Yi's face. He pulled his hand back and continued fixing his hair.
What a... freak!!
By the time the hot water was carried into the room, An Yi and Ge Lian finally made it out from behind the bed curtains.
Peng Yan: !!!!
He stood frozen in place, unable to control his expression. The maids and servants behind him were equally stunned.
How... how can it be the Cavalry General?!
Is the Lord really in a relationship with the Cavalry General?!
Now that they had stumbled upon this secret, would they be executed?!
An Yi had been exhausted all night. After washing up and wolfing down breakfast, he felt weary and weak. He glared at Ge Lian, trying to kick him out.
Ge Lian had been buzzing with excitement since yesterday, overjoyed.
Now he stuck to An Yi again, all clingy and affectionate, and began massaging his legs.
An Yi squinted, enjoying his service, and let out a satisfied hum. "Not bad."
Ge Lian smiled nonchalantly. "Thanks for the compliment, Lord."
An Yi tilted his head, tuning out the crazy comment section, and reached out to stroke Ge Lian's cheek. "General..."
Then, with his fingers, he pinched Ge Lian's cheek and tugged outward. Ge Lian grunted in pain but let him do it. "Ow~"
An Yi: "Hmph~"
----------
Dusk settled in.
Flying eaves and interlocking brackets cast gentle shadows in the last rays of sunset.
Deep inside the Jingbian Marquis's mansion, there was a waterside pavilion.
Outside, withered lotus leaves reflected the cold moonlight. Lanterns under the eaves gave off a warm, dim glow, casting fragmented, swaying reflections on the water.
Inside the pavilion, a basin of ice emitted thick white mist, dispelling the summer heat.
Ge Lian wore only a dark robe with a subtle pattern, its collar slightly open to reveal his sharply defined collarbone, as he lounged lazily on a soft couch.
He toyed with a warm white jade wine cup in his hand, but his gaze was like a tangible thread, firmly fixed on the figure standing by the window a few steps away.
An Yi had his back to him, dressed in a simple, elegant moon-white casual robe that accentuated his lean, upright frame.
He raised his head slightly, gazing at the fragmented and re-formed cold moon on the water outside. His profile, lit by the lamp, traced a clear, somewhat cold and aloof line.
"What are you looking at?" Ge Lian's deep voice broke the silence, tinged with a lazy rasp.
An Yi did not turn back. His voice was as clear as jade hitting stone: "Looking at the moon."
Ge Lian let out a low laugh, set down his cup, and stepped barefoot onto the soft carpet, approaching silently.
The wave of heat mixed with faint alcohol, leather, and a strong masculine presence instantly surrounded An Yi. He stopped right behind An Yi, close enough to feel the cool, pine-like aura emanating from him.
"What's so interesting about the moon?" Ge Lian's voice was almost against An Yi's ear, his hot breath brushing over the sensitive earlobe with undisguised intimacy. "How about looking at me instead?"
An Yi smiled slightly, turned around, and pushed him away. "Get me a glass of water."
"Alright~" Ge Lian's chest vibrated with a low laugh.
He poured a glass of warm water from the table.
Handing the cup to An Yi, he then wrapped his arms around An Yi's slim waist from behind, resting his chin on An Yi's cool hair, greedily inhaling the cool fragrance.
An Yi nearly spilled the water in his hand from the jostling.
He instinctively tried to break free, but Ge Lian's arms tightened around him.
"Let go." An Yi's voice carried a hint of helplessness. Why was this person so clingy?
"No." Ge Lian's reply was firm and decisive, with a mix of stubbornness and childish persistence.
He tightened his arms, pressing An Yi even closer into his embrace. His warm lips brushed intentionally or unintentionally against An Yi's cold ear. "An Junheng... what am I to you?"
His voice dropped low, carrying an eerie allure and an undeniable declaration. "An Yi, accept your fate. I belong to you, and you belong to me. You can't escape now."
Inside the pavilion, the candle flame let out a soft crackle, and a spark burst from the candle flame.
The flickering shadows stretched and twisted, casting the two closely joined figures onto the screen painted with ink landscapes, entangled together, indistinguishable.
An Yi let out a soft sigh. "I know."
Ge Lian lowered his head, kissed the top of his head, then scooped An Yi up into his arms. An Yi's breath caught, and he instinctively wrapped his arms around Ge Lian's neck.
Ge Lian carried him, striding forcefully toward the soft couch, his movements carrying a bold, conquering momentum.
He gently laid An Yi on the soft fur, the jade-cool body sinking into the interwoven backdrop of pure white and pitch black, creating a breathtaking sight.
He leaned down, bracing his hands on either side of An Yi, trapping him in his shadow.
"An Junheng..." Ge Lian's voice was so hoarse it was barely recognizable.
His kiss, unquestionably dominant and scorching with desire, like a wildfire sweeping across the plains, finally descended, completely sealing An Yi's lips.
Not a tentative taste, but a forceful parting of those cool lips, a deep invasion, wildly seizing An Yi's cool, alluring breath, as if to suck out his very soul.
An Yi's mind went blank. His body trembled involuntarily, his fingertips digging deep into Ge Lian's solid shoulders.
Clothes slid off messily in the chaos and heat. Moonlight, lamplight, the intertwined shadows flickering on the screen—low gasps and broken sobs all mingled together.
Outside the window, the cold moon was silent.
