Five weeks later – as Lilith pored over maps, planning next move, letter arrived bearing official Mercenary Guild seal. Zorak had confirmed Rock Dragon’s death and arranged her meeting with town lord. Her heroic men were expected as well.

Lilith and her mercenaries arrived at castle at arranged day. The fortress was looming before Lilith – massive stone bulk, dominating skyline above bustling Gornagog. Its jagged turrets and ramparts appeared to be designed to repel invaders at every turn, yet somehow retained grim beauty.

Shining metal plates of armored tower gates – barred portal into inner sanctum, few outsiders dared trespass. High battlements bristled with spears and longbows, guarding precious treasures, hoarded deep within vaults below.

From this stronghold legions marched forth upon conquest. Ships set sail to plunder riches of far horizons. Every inch of wall and parapet spoke untold stories of siege and slaughter, testament to enduring might of Minotaur
