Chapter 110: Becoming Your God (XIII)

Shang Ke could understand the Love God being a hedonist, but Neil really shouldn’t have tried to indulge himself with Shang Ke. In the end, he had provoked a War God and dragged Shang Ke into the mess along with him.

Shang Ke was once again taken to the War God’s temple, and he could more or less predict what would happen next. He decided to turn defense into offense. The moment Saya removed his mask, Shang Ke hooked an arm around his neck and sealed his mouth with a kiss before he could lose his temper.

Saya froze, his body stiff as he stood in the temple and allowed Shang Ke to assault his lips. Their mouths pressed tightly together, lips sucking and grinding against each other as they exchanged saliva.

Saya gradually relaxed. One hand settled around Shang Ke’s waist while the other cradled the back of his head. His movements went from inexperienced to practiced as he eagerly returned the kiss and deepened it further and further. Heat swept through their bodies, transforming into endless desire and steadily eroding their reason.

The clothes on Shang Ke’s body dropped to the floor in an instant as Saya pressed him against the wall. The War God once again demonstrated his miraculous instant-stripping technique, casually freeing a completely naked Shang Ke from all those inconvenient layers.

With lightning speed, Shang Ke summoned his animal-hide skirt. He might lose the battle, but he refused to lose in presence. Saya was still fully dressed, so Shang Ke absolutely could not allow himself to be completely outdone.

Saya was no longer satisfied with mere kissing. He began turning his attention to other parts of Shang Ke’s body.

Although this was Saya’s first time having sex himself, he had lived for so long that he had seen it often enough to know what it involved. The only thing he lacked was practical experience. In particular, he had absolutely no concept of foreplay and acted entirely on instinct.

Shang Ke’s animal-hide skirt offered no defense whatsoever. Saya drove straight into him, taking him all the way without leaving the slightest room between them.

Shang Ke threw his head back. Before the cry of pain could even leave his mouth, Saya’s next movement cut it off.

The relentless sounds of their bodies colliding echoed through the temple, accompanied by ragged, heavy breathing, as though the two of them had been engulfed in flames.

Shang Ke refused to admit defeat and struggled to match Saya’s rhythm. His response only earned him even fiercer thrusts.

Somewhere in his daze, Shang Ke was turned around and forced to take Saya’s powerful thrusts from behind.

The animal-hide skirt concealed the place where their bodies were tightly joined. All that could be seen was the skirt rising and falling, offering only fleeting glimpses beneath it…

The stamina of embodied gods was incomparable to that of mortals. Their desires were primal and direct, and they gave themselves over completely to the collision of their bodies and the merging of their souls. Divine power surged violently around them, rippling outward and throwing the nearby gods into chaos.

There was no telling how long it continued before Shang Ke finally fell into a deep sleep from exhaustion. For an embodied god, exhaustion came from the depletion of power. All the faith power Shang Ke had painstakingly accumulated recently had essentially been spent on Saya.

Saya lay lazily beside Shang Ke with his head propped on one hand, the fingers of his other hand slowly stroking back and forth across Shang Ke’s back. His gaze wandered over skin mottled with dark bruises and marks. Gently turning Shang Ke over, Saya bent down and kissed his lips, then gazed at his sleeping face with satisfaction and joy practically overflowing from his eyes.

This person belonged to him.

Saya felt as though a missing piece of himself had finally been filled.

However, he had not forgotten the bastard who had tried to put his hands on Shang Ke.

Saya’s gaze abruptly sharpened. The next instant, his figure vanished from the temple.

Three days had passed, and poor Neil was still restrained, lying stiffly on the ground with fallen leaves covering his face and the occasional insect crawling over him. Fortunately, this was the middle of nowhere. Otherwise, there was no telling how many spectators his miserable appearance would have attracted.

At that moment, the air rippled, and Saya appeared in front of Neil, staring down at him from above.

“Lord War God, just how did I offend you?” Neil asked with a bitter smile.

“Uno belongs to me.” Saya spoke only those four words, but they were saturated with possessiveness.

Neil stared at him in astonishment. “You and Little Mask…” He had actually failed to notice! That made no sense! He was the Love God!

“I’ll only say this once. If I ever see you making a move on Uno again, don’t blame me for showing you no mercy,” Saya warned coldly.

Neil’s expression twisted strangely. “You and Little Mask had sex? He agreed to it?”

“Of course.” Saya answered without the slightest hesitation.

“Impossible!” Neil blurted. “I clearly tied him to…”

His voice abruptly cut off. Neil realized he absolutely could not reveal that matter, or he would be in serious trouble. He was convinced that Little Mask couldn’t possibly have gone willingly, because Neil had tied his red thread to Yitamo. Embodied gods were already slow to fall in love. There was no way Little Mask could completely resist the Love God’s influence, abandon Yitamo, and fall for Saya instead.

More importantly, if Shang Ke fell for Yitamo, Neil might still have an opportunity to slip in between them. But if Shang Ke loved the War God, Neil basically had no chance at all! So no matter what, Neil would much rather the person Shang Ke fell in love with be Yitamo than Saya.

“What were you about to say?” Saya stared hard at Neil, certain there was something suspicious about the words he had swallowed.

“I was going to say that without my power, I’m afraid he won’t fall in love with you,” Neil amended quickly.

“Mind your own business. I don’t need you interfering in mine!” Saya waved a hand and released Neil’s restraints before turning away.

Neil sprang to his feet and stretched his limbs. Then his figure flashed, teleporting toward the royal palace.

He felt it was necessary to warn Yitamo to be a little more proactive. Otherwise, the man Neil had his eye on was going to be stolen away…

By the time Shang Ke woke from his deep sleep, two days had passed. The moment he opened his eyes, he found Saya sitting beside him with his clothes in disarray, quietly watching him.

Shang Ke climbed out of bed and found that much of his power had recovered. The marks covering his skin, however, had yet to disappear. They carried the War God’s aura, and probably wouldn’t fade for another three to five days.

Seeing that Shang Ke still looked half asleep, Saya reached out and pulled him into his arms, then lowered his head and bit his lip to wake him up.

Shang Ke glared at him. He definitely didn’t want another mark left on his lips.

“You’re glaring at me.” Saya’s expression remained solemn, but there was an unusual lightness in his voice.

Isn’t that obvious?

“I permit you to glare at me,” Saya declared in that same insufferably arrogant tone.

As if I need your permission! Shang Ke glared at him again.

Perhaps the Saya of this world had only just begun to fall for him, but to Shang Ke, this man had already been his lover through several lifetimes. There was no one he knew more intimately, so Shang Ke naturally felt no need to restrain himself around him.

Under Saya’s heated gaze, Shang Ke briskly dressed himself, flicked his sleeves, and strode elegantly out of the War God’s temple.

Saya: “…” Perhaps I should give him some lessons in etiquette. He clearly hasn’t developed any awareness of what it means to be a vassal god.

That was what Saya thought, but he had no desire to restrict Shang Ke too much. He liked seeing Shang Ke relaxed and completely at ease around him.

At that moment, he caught sight of Shang Ke’s mask lying discarded to one side. His expression darkened. He picked it up and disappeared from the temple.

Shang Ke had only just returned to his courtyard when he heard someone call from behind him, “Uno.”

He turned around, saw Yitamo, and naturally gave him a smile.

Yitamo froze, staring blankly at Shang Ke.

“What’s wrong?” Shang Ke paused and raised a hand to his face. Only then did he realize that he seemed to have forgotten to put his mask back on.

Shang Ke had no idea just how great an impact that single smile had had on Yitamo.

Before this, Yitamo had imagined countless possibilities for what lay beneath the mask. Only after finally seeing Shang Ke’s true face did he realize just how dull and unimaginative all those fantasies had been.

There were many beautiful people in this world, but this was the first time Yitamo had seen someone so beautiful that merely looking at him filled his heart with happiness. Shang Ke’s eyes and smile were like a sea of flowers beneath the sunlight—brilliant, radiant, and overflowing with life.

Yitamo felt his heart begin pounding wildly beyond his control. The vague, hazy feelings he had carried before suddenly became unmistakably real.

A change in faith could happen in a single instant.

Yitamo didn’t realize that, in that very moment, he had ceased to be a worshiper of the War God and become a worshiper of the Evil God instead.

Shang Ke sensed the change, and so did Saya, who arrived immediately afterward.

Saya stared coldly at Yitamo. No god would look kindly upon someone who abandoned their faith, especially when Yitamo’s newly changed faith carried his love for Shang Ke along with it.

Saya walked to Shang Ke’s side, wrapped one arm around his waist, and used his other hand to place the mask back over his face.

Yitamo’s eyes flickered slightly before he bowed to Saya.

This mortal was no longer his worshiper, so Saya completely ignored the gesture.

At the same time, Shang Ke felt the familiar aura that had once surrounded Yitamo gradually disappear, replaced by the power of faith belonging to the Evil God.

From that moment onward, Yitamo was merely one of Shang Ke’s worshipers rather than someone who felt naturally close because he carried the War God’s aura.

Shang Ke’s sense of closeness toward Yitamo had always come from the War God’s aura on him. Once that aura disappeared, so did the attraction it held. Yitamo would never know that his love for Shang Ke had instead become the very reason Shang Ke began distancing himself from him.

Of course, they could still be ordinary friends, but Saya, who knew exactly what Yitamo wanted, probably wouldn’t give him the opportunity.

Just then, Saya suddenly turned toward a particular direction. A god was watching them from within the clouds. When Saya looked over, the other god made no attempt to hide. Instead, he met Saya’s gaze directly, a faint smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

【Long time no see, War God.】 Saya received the other god’s greeting.

【Why are you spying on my territory without cause, Lord Death God?】 The god in question was actually the rarely seen Death God, the deity who governed death.

【Merely curiosity. Pay it no mind.】 The Death God’s gaze slowly shifted toward Shang Ke at Saya’s side.

Shang Ke seemed to sense something and was just about to look in that direction when Saya moved in front of him, blocking him from view.

An intrigued smile appeared on the Death God’s face. 【I truly never expected that mortal enemies from more than a thousand years ago would become friends. Oh, to be precise, I suppose I should say divine partners.】

【That has nothing to do with you,】 the War God replied coldly.

【I have no interest in who you have sex with,】 the Death God said, abruptly changing the subject. 【But the Evil God absolutely cannot become your vassal god.】

【On what grounds?】

【He belongs to the Dark Domain. How could a god of darkness submit himself to a god of light?】 Killing intent seeped into the Death God’s voice. 【War God, you can have as much sex with him as you please, but I will not allow you to claim him as yours.】
