Chapter 149: I Am An Evil Pen (VI)
And so Shang Ke was carried home by his man, locked in a dark room, tied to the bedpost, and stripped… Wen Jingrong practically put everything he had learned from their dreams into practice in reality. The more Shang Ke resisted, the more forceful he became. While trying not to physically injure him, Wen Jingrong used nearly every method at his disposal and ultimately forced himself on the person he had long desired.
Whenever Wen Jingrong started trying to be gentler, Shang Ke would struggle to escape. Their heated bodies rubbed violently together, and the shuddering pleasure repeatedly drove Wen Jingrong out of control, making his thrusts harder until he heard Shang Ke’s broken, exhausted moans. Only then would he slow down, soothing him softly while moving against him more gradually.
Once Wen Jingrong was satisfied, the baleful energy around him disappeared and the radiance of his good fortune surged instead, leaving Shang Ke in unbearable pain. The pain eased only when Wen Jingrong lost emotional control or his desire reached its peak. Shang Ke therefore had to keep resisting enough to provoke him while simultaneously doing everything he could to make him climax as quickly as possible and release that lust-generated energy.
By the end, Shang Ke could no longer tell whether he felt more pain or pleasure. In any case, he had lost all strength to resist and could only endure whatever Wen Jingrong did to him.
The bed was a complete mess, covered with traces of what had happened between them, while their clothes lay scattered across the floor. They had used only one condom; the next several times Wen Jingrong lost control, he completely forgot about protection. Shang Ke had deliberately encouraged that as well, because condoms weakened the effect of the lust-born baleful energy. After sacrificing this much dignity already, he certainly was not going to let a feast turn into a side dish.
The next day, while still deeply asleep, Shang Ke felt repeated prickling pain, as though a barbed tongue were continually licking over him.
His eyes snapped open. He was lying facedown on the bed, a damp sensation spreading across his back.
“Awake?” Wen Jingrong braced himself above Shang Ke on both arms and looked down at him, his voice hoarse.
Shang Ke’s hands had already been untied, and he lay there weakly. The morning light shining through the window made him narrow his eyes. His gently trembling lashes gave him an air of vulnerability and confusion. His bare back was covered in bluish-purple marks that looked strangely pure yet sensual beneath the morning light.
Although Wen Jingrong had taken Shang Ke through disgraceful means, he did not regret it. Even if he were given the choice again, he would still do the same thing. No matter what happened, he would never let this person go.
Wen Jingrong lowered his head and kissed the back of Shang Ke’s neck. The person beneath him immediately trembled, then curled inward like a frightened deer to avoid his touch.
Wen Jingrong paused. Shang Ke wrapped the blanket tightly around himself and began inching away, trying to wriggle out from beneath him. Unfortunately, Wen Jingrong’s knee was pinning down the other end of the blanket. No matter how Shang Ke tugged, it would not move, so he could only give up in defeat.
Wen Jingrong could not help wanting to laugh. Although he knew that what happened last night might make their relationship even worse, he still found Shang Ke unbearably adorable at this moment.
Shang Ke looked back in horror and was nearly blinded by the brilliant radiance of good fortune pouring off the man. It was only one night! Do you really have to look like you’ve just obtained the entire world?
Seeing the tenderness in Wen Jingrong’s eyes, Shang Ke truly could not bear to hurt him. Even though he was doing all this so that they could eventually be together properly, this whole love-and-hate melodrama was so ridiculously clichéd that he wanted to cry.
The only consolation was that Shang Ke had absorbed a considerable amount of baleful energy. Although most of it had already been consumed by Wen Jingrong’s good fortune, the amount remaining was still far greater than what he could obtain from dreams. Unfortunately, if this man overflowing with good fortune continued to “love” him like this, all the baleful energy Shang Ke had painstakingly accumulated last night would soon be burned away by that very “love.”
Shang Ke gathered his emotions and asked indifferently, “Satisfied now?”
“More or less.” Lingering desire still colored Wen Jingrong’s expression.
Shang Ke’s next sentence instantly destroyed his good mood. “I have a girlfriend. I’m not gay.”
The baleful energy around Wen Jingrong immediately began boiling again. He asked darkly, “How long have you been together? Have you slept with her?”
Shang Ke was about to answer when Wen Jingrong interrupted him again. “I don’t want to know about your past relationships. Just remember this: from today onward, I’m your lover—and your only man.”
He claimed he did not want to know, but the endless stream of baleful energy pouring from him completely betrayed him.
While secretly absorbing the baleful energy and metaphorically massaging his man’s shoulders in gratitude, Shang Ke said aloud, “I can’t become your lover. I just want an ordinary life—marry the woman I love, have children, and build a warm little family.”
Dark clouds gathered in Wen Jingrong’s eyes as violent hostility surged through him.
He abruptly tore away Shang Ke’s blanket, flipped him over, and with one thrust forced himself inside him.
“Ah!” Shang Ke cried out in pain.
Wen Jingrong hauled him upright and pressed him against the headboard, continuing to thrust as he sneered, “Look carefully. Who’s the man having sex with you right now? After I’ve taken you like this, are you sure you’ll still be able to satisfy some other woman?”
“Let go of me, I…” Shang Ke’s words were cut off before he could finish.
Wen Jingrong knew Shang Ke’s body intimately and deliberately stimulated every sensitive place he knew, nearly making Shang Ke respond despite himself. If the baleful energy surrounding Wen Jingrong had not begun fading again, Shang Ke probably would have lost control of his act entirely.
Dozens of minutes later, Wen Jingrong carried the limp Shang Ke into the bathroom and cleaned him. Once the baleful energy disappeared, needle-like pain immediately replaced it. Shang Ke bit his lip, the vulnerability on his face leaving Wen Jingrong both distressed and heartsick.
“Shang Ke, can you try to accept me?” A faint plea entered Wen Jingrong’s low voice. “I really want to be with you.”
The pain had left Shang Ke’s consciousness hazy, and he no longer had the strength to respond.
Wen Jingrong did not go to the company that day and remained at home to watch over Shang Ke.
When Shang Ke woke, he was alone in the room. He tried circulating the baleful energy inside himself and discovered that it had increased considerably. No wonder he had been able to maintain human form for so long.
He put on the pajamas Wen Jingrong had prepared for him, slipped into a pair of slippers one size too large, and walked out of the room.
Wen Jingrong was sitting on the sofa with a laptop, typing away. The moment he saw Shang Ke emerge, he hurriedly set the computer aside and strode over.
“How do you feel? Does anything hurt?” Wen Jingrong asked, naturally reaching toward him.
Shang Ke instinctively avoided his hand and maintained a safe distance.
A flash of hostility appeared in Wen Jingrong’s eyes. He was just about to intimidate Shang Ke when his stomach chose that exact moment to growl loudly.
Shang Ke looked up at him, doing his best to maintain an aloof, expressionless face. “Is there anything to eat?”
“I’ll have food delivered immediately.” Wen Jingrong pulled out his phone at once, only to hear Shang Ke ask, “Do you have ingredients here?”
“Yes.” Wen Jingrong answered immediately, then stared at him with shining eyes.
Shang Ke said nothing more and walked straight into the kitchen. He selected several ingredients from the refrigerator and began cooking.
Wen Jingrong stood at the kitchen doorway, staring blankly at Shang Ke’s busy figure. An almost unreal sense of happiness suddenly washed over him. Shang Ke was actually cooking for him?
However long Shang Ke stayed in the kitchen, Wen Jingrong remained at the doorway watching him, afraid that all of this might turn out to be another dream.
Shang Ke, meanwhile, felt as though his back were being stabbed. Someone’s radiance of good fortune was making its presence known with reckless enthusiasm; even without physical contact, it still pricked at him like countless needles.
It’s only one meal. Does he really have to be this happy?
Shang Ke’s eyes began to sting. He desperately wanted to forget everything, throw himself into Wen Jingrong’s arms, and respond passionately to his feelings.
Before long, a mouthwatering aroma drifted from the kitchen.
Once the dishes were served, Wen Jingrong could barely wait before picking up his chopsticks. Shang Ke was ultimately still a spirit, so anything he ate was converted into residue and dissipated into the air almost immediately.
Most of the food ended up in Wen Jingrong’s stomach. He ate with enormous satisfaction and privately gave Shang Ke’s cooking very high marks.
After they had eaten their fill, Shang Ke had no choice but to drag Wen Jingrong out of his bliss. “Wen Jingrong, when can I leave?”
Wen Jingrong’s softened expression immediately froze. “You cooked for me just so I’d let you leave?”
“You can’t keep me imprisoned forever.”
“If I want to, there’s nothing impossible about it.”
Seeing that Wen Jingrong looked ready to go berserk again, Shang Ke decided not to provoke him any further for now, lest he be dragged back to bed. This man definitely possessed some innate ability to become aroused anytime, anywhere. Shang Ke had personally verified that fact across several worlds.
Wen Jingrong was obviously unwilling to trust him out of sight. He insisted on keeping Shang Ke somewhere he could see and took him everywhere he went.
Still, Wen Jingrong did keep his promise: every time they had sex, he solved the employment problem of one person in difficult circumstances for Shang Ke.
Shang Ke gained an even deeper appreciation for just how stingy and calculating this man could be.
Wen Jingrong took Shang Ke shopping, bought him luxury goods, brought him to banquets, took him out to sea… and otherwise spoiled him lavishly. Over the next several days, Shang Ke did not resist any of that. Their nighttime sex, however, remained rough. Determined to make Shang Ke’s body completely accustomed to him, Wen Jingrong tried nearly everything he could think of, changing locations repeatedly and using all kinds of positions. Once, they even went so far as to have sex in the fitting room of a boutique.
Wen Jingrong sensed that Shang Ke seemed to be softening toward him and was delighted. But the moment he relaxed his vigilance, Shang Ke disappeared again!
Apparently all that obedience had been an illusion, and Wen Jingrong was furious. Even stranger was the fact that no matter what method he used, he could not find Shang Ke. It was as though the man did not exist at all; there were absolutely no records of him anywhere.
“Jingrong, so this is where you are.” A young man around twenty-four or twenty-five approached with a smile.
“Mm. It’s quiet here.” Wen Jingrong paid him little attention and merely took another sip from his wineglass.
“I heard you recently found yourself a lover. Why didn’t you bring him along?” The young man sat beside him and teased, “I’m curious what kind of peerless beauty managed to catch your eye. After all, you weren’t even interested in the person beside me.”
At that, Wen Jingrong glanced at the man beside him. He was exceptionally handsome, elegant in bearing and impeccable in manner. Before finding Shang Ke in reality, Wen Jingrong had once eaten a meal with him. Of everyone Wen Jingrong had met, this man resembled Shang Ke the most—but resemblance was all it was.
“President Wen, long time no see.” The man raised his glass toward him, a hint of flirtation in his expression.
Wen Jingrong merely nodded without returning the toast.
“Tsk. I really don’t know who could put up with your temper.” After complaining, Ge Junxuan got straight to the point. “By the way, Jingrong, I need a favor.”
“What?”
“Bai Lin’s company is competing for the development rights to an island and needs a large amount of capital. I was hoping you could give him a push. It would be even better if you were willing to invest under Wenshang’s name.”
“You mean Pano Island?” Wen Jingrong knew something about the island-development project but had never intended to participate. First, it was too far away. Second, Wenshang already had several tourism projects awaiting development.
“That’s right.” Ge Junxuan’s eyes brightened. “What do you think of it?”
“The required investment is enormous and the risk isn’t small, but if development succeeds, the returns should also be considerable,” Wen Jingrong assessed objectively.
“Then are you willing to invest?” Ge Junxuan asked with interest.
Wen Jingrong did not answer, rapidly calculating the advantages and disadvantages in his head.
“If I were to invest…” Wen Jingrong abruptly stopped speaking, his sharp gaze shooting toward a certain corner of the banquet.
Ge Junxuan failed to notice his expression. Hearing what sounded like possible interest, he quickly pressed, “So?”
Bai Lin also looked expectant.
“Excuse me. Something came up.” Wen Jingrong set down his wineglass, rose, and walked toward the other side of the banquet hall.
The two men left behind stared after him in bewilderment, unable to understand why he had walked away without even finishing his sentence.
They then watched him stride up to a young man, forcibly pull him out from among the guests, and disappear with him into a corridor at the rear.
“What’s going on?” Ge Junxuan looked blankly at Bai Lin.
Something flickered in Bai Lin’s eyes as he stood. “If you’re curious, why don’t we go take a look?”
“Good idea.” Ge Junxuan immediately agreed.
Naturally, the young man Wen Jingrong had dragged away was Shang Ke, who had been missing for quite some time.
He had not originally planned to show himself. But when those two men approached Wen Jingrong, Shang Ke noticed that the handsome young man among them carried an exceptionally dense amount of baleful energy. Someone like that was certain to be plagued by trouble and disaster in the future. Seeing Wen Jingrong considering a partnership with such a person, Shang Ke had no choice but to reveal himself.
Looking at the man before him, now covered in baleful energy once again, Shang Ke felt both delighted and conflicted. He was delighted because another feast was waiting for him, yet conflicted because apparently he had to keep racking his brain for ways to carry on this love-hate drama if he wanted to eat.
Today, Shang Ke wore a fitted white suit. Unlike the casual ease of his usual clothes or the sensuality of his sleepwear, the suit lent him an elegant, aristocratic air along with a distinctly restrained beauty.
Wen Jingrong stared at him with darkened eyes, immediately pressed him behind the curtains, and kissed him fiercely in punishment.
When Ge Junxuan and Bai Lin arrived, this was the heated scene they encountered. The two men were locked together in a kiss as though no one else existed, their bodies pressed tightly against each other. Although there were no further movements, the sight was intimate enough to make an observer’s heartbeat quicken.
Because of the angle, Ge Junxuan could not clearly see the face of the young man in Wen Jingrong’s arms, but the graceful lines of his body, long fingers, and pale skin were already enough to inspire plenty of imagination.
Ge Junxuan immediately guessed that this had to be the mysterious lover who had driven Wen Jingrong half-mad with obsession.
