Volume 1, Chapter 30 – My Judgment Is Never Wrong

“Password.”

The brass snake head on the door lazily opened its mouth.

“Beauty, elegance, talent.”

Stella braced herself and recited the secret phrase Patolize had told her.

Click.

The lock sprang open.

A wave of warm mist rushed toward her, carrying a mixture of expensive essential oils, sulfur, and some indescribably cloying sweet fragrance. The space beyond the door was absurdly large, surrounded on all sides by smooth white marble. In the very center was a luxurious sunken bath encircled by gilded faucets.

However, there were none of those dreamy multicolored bubbles in the bath. Instead, what greeted her was an entire pool of bizarre dark-purple hot water, with ominous bubbles constantly gurgling to the surface.

Vice Principal Mara stood beside the pool. She had changed into a thin black silk bathrobe, her damp long hair casually tied behind her head. In one hand, she held a wineglass filled with scarlet liquid that swirled gently within.

“Ah, you’re here, my little genius.”

Mara looked exceptionally delighted. For one brief moment, Stella felt as though she had been waiting for her for hundreds of years.

“Vice Principal, you wanted to see me…” Stella’s voice was a little dry, and she subconsciously took half a step backward. That pool of water didn’t look like something meant for bathing. It looked more like something meant for making stew.

“Don’t be nervous, Stella.” Mara set down her wineglass and walked gracefully over to Stella, affectionately taking her hand. “I knew it. I knew my judgment wouldn’t be wrong.”

She pulled Stella to the edge of the pool and pointed at the bath full of purple medicinal liquid.

“This is my private instruction for you.”

“Vice Principal Mara, but I still haven’t finished all the homework you assigned…” Stella tried to make one last struggle.

“Forget the homework. Katerina already told me. You can directly erase divine blessings. That absolute negation of Holy Light… There’s no doubt that it’s a manifestation of your SSS+ talent. Your bloodline is extraordinary. Truly extraordinary.” Mara tightened her grip on Stella’s hand so hard that it hurt.

“For this moment, I poured in the Abyssal Marrow Fluid I’ve treasured for fifty years, ten ounces of high-grade nightmare dust, and a full three tons of demonized mandrake juice.” Mara sighed with emotion. “This medicinal bath is priceless. You should know that even among those so-called prestigious families of the Demon Realm, very few could afford an awakening pool of this caliber. And because of your SSS+ genius aptitude, I even deliberately increased the dosage.”

Stella’s scalp went numb just listening to her.

Vice Principal Mara really was being far too ‘good’ to her.

If she soaked in all this stuff, would there even be an intact corpse left afterward?

And besides…

If she failed to awaken anything at all, or worse, if Mara discovered that she was nothing more than an ordinary human who showed absolutely no reaction…

She was finished.

“Alright, time is precious.” Mara released her hand and gently pushed Stella by the shoulder. “Take off your clothes and get in. Absorbing the essence requires your body and mind to be completely relaxed. Only then can the magical power factors within you be catalyzed.”

“Um… Vice Principal, if you’re here…” Stella tried to use her shyness to stall for time.

“Oh, right.” Mara suddenly realized what she meant, then gave her an ambiguously wicked smile. “Of course. A shy, abstinent child like you definitely wouldn’t be used to showing yourself in front of someone else, even if that person is your mentor.”

Considerately, she turned around and waved a hand.

“Don’t worry. The soundproofing and defenses of this washroom are top-notch. I’ll stand guard outside the door. No one will disturb your transformation. Enjoy this expensive treatment, Stella. I look forward to you giving me an even greater surprise when you come out.”

With a gust of fragrant air, Vice Principal Mara left. The heavy door slowly closed behind her.

Only Stella remained in the vast bathroom.

Dead silence, broken only by the gurgle of bubbles bursting at the surface.

Stella stood beside the pool and stared at her pale face reflected in the murky water.

Now she was completely finished.

If she were a real succubus, this might have been an incredible opportunity.

But she was a pure human.

If she jumped in just like this, there were only two possible outcomes: either this random assortment of high-grade potions would poison and corrode her to death, or she would sit there completely unresponsive like a piece of wood until Mara came back in, realized all that money had gone down the drain, and angrily turned her into fertilizer.

Either way, it was a dead end.

“…Calm down, Stella. Calm down.” Stella took a deep breath.

Truthfully, she was already used to encountering ridiculous situations like this.

Since there was no path of retreat left, she could only make one herself.

Awakening a bloodline talent…

Ultimately, according to Vice Principal Mara, it meant using extremely potent medicinal stimulation to catalyze the magical power factors inside the body.

She didn’t have any magical power factors belonging to a succubus within her, but she wasn’t completely out of options.

Stella’s trembling hand reached into her clothes and pulled out a small glass bottle that still held the warmth of her body.

This was precisely the high-grade succubus potion she had just brewed earlier using Cheryl Valentine’s tears together with the high-grade materials generously sponsored by Patolize.

The Valentine family’s bloodline. It was said to possess extremely powerful regenerative ability, bodily vitality, and explosive force like raging flames, making it one of the oldest bloodlines in the Demon Realm.

“If I don’t drink it, I’m definitely going to die. If I do…”

Stella stared at the ruby-like potion in her hand, crystal-clear and gleaming, and her gaze gradually hardened with resolve.

If she drank it, then with the disguise provided by the Valentine bloodline and the potion’s medicinal power, combined with this entire pool of highly nourishing medicine, perhaps some kind of miracle really could happen. Even if the awakening was fake, as long as she could bluff her way through…

“I’m betting everything on this!”

Stella gritted her teeth, pulled out the stopper, tilted her head back, and drained the scorching crimson potion in one gulp.

Gulp.

The instant the potion entered her throat, it felt as though she had swallowed a piece of red-hot charcoal. A violent current of heat instantly surged down her esophagus into her stomach, then exploded outward, racing through her blood vessels and into every limb and bone.

‘So hot!’

‘It hurts!!!’

This was completely different from the first time she had taken the succubus potion.

Was this the Valentine family’s bloodline?

Enduring the intense pain raging inside her body, Stella hurriedly undid her buttons and stripped off her clothes. Her fair skin had now taken on an eerie crimson hue under the effects of the potion, and the blood vessels beneath her skin faintly throbbed.

Barefoot, she walked to the edge of the pool and looked down at the medicinal liquid giving off poisonous fumes. She pressed her palms together and closed her eyes.

‘Almighty and omniscient Lord…’

‘Please don’t let that pool of water cook me alive.’

‘If possible, please let the Valentine family’s regenerative ability actually work…’

‘At the very least, don’t let me sit there in front of the Vice Principal without reacting like a potato.’

‘This is all for Your glory, after all…’

‘Probably.’
