Volume 1, Chapter 31 – The Valentine Family’s Blood
The instant she entered the water, Stella thought she had jumped into molten lava.
There was none of the enveloping sensation of liquid she had expected. Instead, it felt as though countless needles were stabbing into every pore of her body.
Vice Principal Mara had clearly gone heavy on the dosage. The entire pool of dark-purple medicinal liquid seemed almost alive as its effects surged through Stella’s body, immediately colliding head-on with Cheryl Valentine’s succubus potion. It was like two wild beasts suddenly awakening inside a cramped cage and instantly beginning to tear each other apart.
Pain.
Even her thoughts became fragmented.
Her purely human blood seemed to boil at that moment. The magical power factors contained within the high-grade potion were forcibly catalyzed by the medicinal bath, circulating through her body in an unbearably domineering manner.
Her vision was turning red.
Across her originally porcelain-white skin, eerie crimson demonic markings slowly emerged, spreading outward from her heart toward her limbs. The tips of her silvery-white hair were also being dyed blood-red at a speed visible to the naked eye. Agonizing pain erupted from her tailbone, waist, and forehead as well. The succubus tail and horns that served as part of her disguise became harder and more lifelike under the effects of the medicine, and even bat wings that had never existed before began to grow from her back.
A violent emotion Stella had never experienced before washed over her reason.
She wanted to destroy.
She wanted to see blood flow.
She wanted everything around her to submit beneath her feet.
Stella immediately realized that these impulses did not belong to her.
They belonged to the Valentine family’s desire for domination, engraved into their bloodline.
“…This is way too strong.”
The thought flashed through Stella’s hazy consciousness.
Two enormous currents of magical power rampaged through her fragile blood vessels with nowhere to vent. She felt like a balloon being inflated again and again, ready to explode into pieces from the inside out at any moment.

‘I am going to die…’
‘This time, I am really going to die…’
At the instant her consciousness was about to snap, Stella instinctively called upon the power she had always kept tightly suppressed inside herself.
Holy Light.
The foundation of a Saintess, and her final trump card.
Stella carefully controlled the Holy Light, not daring to let even the slightest trace leak outside. Instead, she compressed it to the utmost and wrapped it tightly around her fragile heart, internal organs, and brain, forming a white barrier inside her body.
The next instant, the rampaging power of the Valentine bloodline within her and the violent Abyssal medicinal power outside her body crashed into that layer of Holy Light at the same time.
Holy Light and magical power were naturally mutually repellent.
The two currents of magical power found themselves unable to erode any farther inward and were even violently repelled by that pure, sacred force.
If they couldn’t go inward, then they could only go outward.
The terrifying energy with nowhere else to vent instantly accumulated across the surface of Stella’s body until it reached a critical point.
Then it went completely out of control.
Boom!
The entire pool of medicinal liquid evaporated in an instant.
Purple mist mixed with a scarlet storm of magical power swept through the entire washroom. The expensive gilded faucets were twisted into scrap metal, while cracks tore through the hard marble floor and spread outward like a spiderweb.
Outside the door, Mara swirled the red wine in her glass as she roughly calculated how long it would take Stella to come out.

“What a lucky child, running into such a responsible and diligent mentor like me.”
“To save her from taking decades of detours, I poured half a treasury’s worth of resources into this without even blinking. Hehe, if the little succubi outside found out, they’d probably be so jealous they’d grind their teeth to pieces.”
She elegantly took a sip of wine.
“Even if the process hurts a little, that’s merely the sweet price of growth. After all, only I know how to avoid squandering even the slightest bit of a genius’ potential… Ah, I’m almost moved by my own selflessness.”
Suddenly, the floor beneath her feet shook violently, and scorching air seeped through the gap beneath the door.
“Hm?”
The smile in Mara’s eyes instantly froze.
Even through the magical defenses of the Prefects’ Washroom, such a violent disturbance had managed to get through.
Something had happened.
She casually tossed aside her wineglass. Dark-red magical power gathered in her palm as she violently pushed open the brass door, which had already begun to warp.
“Stella—”
Scalding steam rushed toward her. Mara waved a hand and dispersed the mist.
Then she stopped.
At the center of the dried and cracked bath, the girl stood barefoot.
Lingering steam still swirled around her. Her silver hair clung messily to her cheeks, but the ends had turned blood-red. Dark-red demonic markings coiled around her fair skin like thorns, brightening and dimming with every breath she took.
What startled Mara most was the aura surrounding the girl.
It was not the cloying magical power of a lower succubus, but something as violent as the embers of a raging flame.

Stella slowly opened her eyes.
Her aster-purple eyes were gone, replaced by a dark red like molten lava.
“I’m gonna die…”
Stella staggered and could barely get the words out.
She had almost died just now.
If she hadn’t constructed a barrier of Holy Light in advance, then the combined effects of the Valentine succubus potion and an entire pool of Mara’s brutal medicinal concoction acting on an ordinary human like her probably would have caused her body to explode outright.
At least now, the Holy Light had protected her, allowing only the surface of her body to be reshaped as the magical power was forced outward, creating a delicate balance.
‘Praise You, Lord.’
Mara stared at the streaks of scarlet at the ends of Stella’s hair and the violent fluctuations of magical power that resembled smoldering flames.
Violence, scarlet, flames…
Without a doubt, these were characteristics possessed by the Valentine family, one of the ancient surnames of the Demon Realm.
“No wonder…” Mara murmured.
Her thoughts rapidly rewound.
Mara remembered the evaluation that the Mirror of Desire had desperately displayed before exploding during the opening ceremony.
SSS+ Ultimate Tsundere and Abstinence.
Now that she thought about it, everything made perfect sense.

No wonder Stella’s personality was so twisted, appearing aloof and abstinent on the surface while actually being arrogant and violent. No wonder she was unmatched when it came to seduction. No wonder she had displayed such astonishing talent during that interrogation class. No wonder she possessed a natural suppressive effect against Cheryl Valentine. Even that cold, distant manner she always carried, as though everything in the world was beneath her…
How could that possibly have been the inferiority and aloof pride of someone from a declining family?
So that was it.
The Darkfallen surname had never belonged to some so-called declining succubus family, some tiny border clan, or some nameless bloodline.
All of it had merely been a cover.
The suspicions Mara had harbored all this time finally had an answer.
The blood flowing through the body of her most talented SSS+ student, Stella Darkfallen, was unmistakably the blood of the Valentine family!
Translator Note
A half-human, half-succubus! xD
Reading this chapter somehow make me can guess where the direction of this novel is going…
It’s literally the novel title! lmao
“I’m Only Pretending To Be a Succubus, So How Did I Become a Real Succubus?”
So, will she become a real succubus, literally?!
