Volume 1, Chapter 8 – Succubi Are All Weirdos
Stella clearly remembered the special warning Inquisitor Itheria had given her before pushing her onto the train.
“Succubi are undoubtedly a seductive and dangerous species. The Creator gave them enchanting faces like angels, but the devil’s soul seized upon certain flaws within them and wormed its way into their bodies. Stella, remember this well. Never try to judge them by normal standards, or sooner or later, you’ll suffer for it.”
Those had been her exact words.
Stella recalled Cheryl’s bizarre behavior just now.
Alright, Itheria really had been right.
“…Succubi really are all weirdos.”
Stella muttered under her breath.
Clearly, Cheryl was going to cause her no shortage of trouble in the future. Juvenile succubi really were difficult to deal with. Every last one of them was a weirdo. Apparently, only adult succubi like Vice Principal Mara were a little easier to get along with.
Second day of her career as a spy. Mentally exhausted.
Stella sighed inwardly, then turned around. Her violet eyes settled on Vice Principal Mara as she did her best to look like an exemplary student.
Spycraft Tip, No. 3.
A thousand faces for a thousand people.
Stella had already worked out the attitude she would adopt when dealing with the succubus professors from now on.
She was presently the descendant of a declining succubus family from the impoverished eastern region. Through constant hard work and unyielding perseverance, she had finally earned admission to Lilith Academy. She was now an aloof genius with SSS+ potential.
Every gesture and movement radiated confidence and elegance. In other words, she perfectly matched the image of an ideal student in every professor’s mind!
The only flaw was that everything above was either fabricated or an act.

“May I return to my seat now, Vice Principal Mara?” Stella blinked lightly, her voice as pure as clear water.
Mara listened to her voice and looked at her fair skin and violet eyes. Hearing Stella address her with the same respect one might show a mother, an entirely new idea suddenly occurred to her.
“Stella, wait a moment.” Mara reached out and stopped her. “I still have some homework to assign you.”
Stella looked up, a trace of confusion in her left eye.
‘Homework?’
‘Isn’t homework normally assigned to all the students at once? Why had Mara specifically stopped me?’
She secretly glanced at the surrounding succubus freshmen, especially Cheryl, who had already sat down and was resting her cheek in one hand. It seemed Cheryl was just as confused as she was.
“Seriously, Stella, after observing you just now, I’ve realized that you’re exceptionally talented when it comes to seduction. So I intend to give you a special assignment.”
“…?”
“I want you to spend your time outside class refining your control over seduction arts and place at least five succubus students under your control. Hmm… finish it before Wednesday, then come find me. I’ll teach you a special lesson.”
“W-What?”
“Normally, students aren’t permitted to cast spells on one another, but you’re an exception. So do your best and work hard!” Mara gave Stella’s shoulder a forceful pat. “You’ve earned this.”
Stella was completely stunned.
She took back what she had said earlier. Vice Principal Mara was a weirdo too.
Stella had no idea what sort of mood she was in when she sat back down at her desk.

She had thought the trouble was finally over, only to have an even bigger problem dropped into her lap.
She actually wanted Stella to mind-control five succubus students? Was she joking? With the seductive ability granted by the succubus elixir, Stella would probably struggle to seduce even a chicken standing at the entrance of some village. Was she supposed to deliberately start trouble and use Holy Art Counter on them one by one, just like she had with Cheryl?
Forget it…
That was hardly conduct befitting a Saintess. Besides, it might cause even greater trouble. Stella decisively abandoned the idea.
Anyway, let her count how many problems she had on her plate now.
Hmm… six days remaining on the succubus elixir’s effects, the Primordial Doctrine the Inquisitor had ordered her to obtain, and now this seduction assignment on top of everything else.
Stella weakly propped her cheek up with one hand and sighed as she watched Mara lecture at the front of the classroom.
Stella remained silent throughout the rest of Mental Seduction Studies, all the way until class ended. Only her right hand, hidden inside her sleeve, kept tracing crosses over and over again…
“So much pressure… I want to sneak some of the Lord’s offerings…”
She muttered.
As though reacting to Stella’s words, the succubus girl sitting at the desk beside hers put down her quill and looked over.
“The Vice Principal really likes you. It’s rare to see her give a freshman such special treatment.” She took the initiative to speak. “You really are lucky.”
‘No, I think I’d rather do without this kind of luck.’
The corner of Stella’s mouth twitched before she looked over.
Platinum-blonde hair looked especially alluring against the backdrop of her horns. The blue ribbon was perhaps a little too innocent, but its hue perfectly matched her eyes and was quite beautiful. She held an impressively thick, exquisitely made diary in her hands.

Petite, delicate, intellectual. Those were Stella’s first impressions of the girl.
Among all the succubi Stella had met so far, not a single one possessed an air quite like hers.
“Ah… I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Remedios Bledia, an A-rank freshman. My core trait is Hundredfold Wisdom. My family isn’t particularly famous, so we can just skip over that.” Remedios shifted her seat slightly closer and amicably offered Stella her hand, only to immediately pull it back. “Ah, sorry, I forgot you’re an abstinent SSS+ succubus. You must dislike physical contact.”
‘How polite.’
Stella was a little moved. She had finally met a somewhat normal succubus.
She couldn’t believe everything the Inquisitor said after all. Not every succubus was a weirdo—
“Oh, right. I’m from the House of Terror and Slaughter.”
Remedios gently wiped the tip of her quill and spoke with a smile.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Stella Darkfallen.”
Stella: “…”
‘The House of Terror and Slaughter?’
The House famous for slaughter spells, forbidden knowledge, and sacrifices. As far as she knew, even a problem succubus like Cheryl was only a student of the House of Domination.
She took back her previous thought once again. This girl was probably a weirdo too.
Remedios did not continue speaking. She merely began writing rapidly. Stella secretly glanced over from the side and discovered that her notebook was almost like a memo, filled with short, interconnected passages.
Stella watched for a while.

When she came back to her senses, she found Remedios looking at her through half-narrowed eyes.
“I just remembered something. Can I ask you a question?”
“What?”
“Why did you collect Cheryl’s tears?” Remedios spoke as though she had already seen through everything, and the interest in her blue eyes grew increasingly intense.
She leaned forward and lowered her voice, speaking in a secret-sharing tone that only the two of them could hear.
“Don’t try to fool me with that excuse about taking her humiliation as a trophy. There are plenty of ways to humiliate a succubus, but no one would specifically use a test tube to collect a succubus’ tears.”
“Unless… the tears you needed were merely an ingredient.”
At that moment, Stella’s feelings could be summed up in a single sentence.
‘…I’m so tired.’
