The study room was dead silent. Azelith sat on the sofa, staring straight ahead with her lifeless eyes.

Celeste and Titus stood in front of her, side by side, their eyes fixed on her face. Every second felt long as they waited for her to speak.

Malakor had already gone back into Azelith's shadow. But her shadow could be seen flickering every now and then. It showed that he too was waiting to hear the reason behind his Lady's condition.

At last, Azelith took a slow breath, as if she were gathering the pieces of her thoughts one by one. Then she finally began to speak.

"I don't want anyone to hear a single word of what I'm about to say, except the people in this room and Seraphina."

"I swear on the Matriarch of Life." Celeste said seriously, while Titus just nodded.
