One Punch and It's Done

"What, are you surprised? Ready to give up?" Titus grinned, clearly enjoying himself at the sight of the kid's stunned face.

"Just give me a second, I'm thinking." Magna replied, still trying to make sense of whatever law of physics had just been broken in front of him.

He had one real shot at forcing Titus to use a spell, and it had come down to a single surprise attack at top speed.

But now that even that hadn't worked, he had to rethink his whole plan from scratch.

'Should I just ask him directly?' If he asked, there was a good chance Titus would show him how to use a spell anyway.

In the end, what they wanted was for Magna to want to become a Shadow, so they would take any chance to impress him or leave him in awe.

But somewhere deep inside, Magna's competitive streak wouldn't let him take the easy way out. He didn't want to give up that easily.
