Chapter 115: The Very Same Eyes

Chapter 115: Chapter 115: The Very Same Eyes

After Feng Si killed the conversation, only the stench of blood and the nearly inaudible whisper of wind through the grass remained in the wheat field.

Her gaze fell to a spot nearby, where she saw the shattered remains of her F22 robot butler. With a somber expression, she walked over, crouched down, and picked up a robotic arm with both hands.

"Why are you picking that up? If it’s broken, just get a new one," Ying Kong said, walking over.

Feng Si was taken aback. "Can’t the F22 be repaired? I’ve gotten used to this robot butler."

Ying Kong glanced down at Feng Si, then at the mangled robotic arm in her hands, a flicker of pity in his eyes.

’I didn’t expect this female to be so sentimental, even over a robot butler. It’s a shame her standards are so high—she has her sights set on the King... Otherwise, I’d be tempted myself.’

Ying Kong bent down and picked up the robot’s main chassis, which had been smashed as flat as a pancake. With a few quick movements, he extracted a diamond-shaped chip. He waved it at Feng Si and said, "We can save its AI brain and put it in a new body. The F22 will be back to life."

"That’s wonderful, thank you."

’Thank goodness. The robot butler that protected me can come back.’

...

「Meanwhile, high in the sky.」

With a surreal expression, Black Hawk steered the ship toward its destination. Inside the pitch-black warship, it was utterly silent, the windows tightly sealed against the sound of the wind outside.

Chi Jie sat by the window, legs crossed, his chin resting in his hand as he gazed out at the view.

He already had a red-haired female who could soothe his spiritual power.

It was for this very reason that he had gone out himself, returning to the forest where they had met to search for her.

—Just like in the past, no female had ever earned a second glance from him.

But unexpectedly, upon meeting this black-haired female, he felt a strange and distinct attraction to her. With her pale face and startled, fearful expression, he found it simply impossible to look away.

’The implications of this... are so troublesome.’

Chi Jie’s eyes were dark and profound, like a sun hidden behind storm clouds.

"Investigate the danger she was just in," Chi Jie ordered, suppressing the restlessness stirring in his heart.

...

Feng Si took Ying Kong’s vehicle back to Boman Gate Island.

She changed out of her grass-stained clothes and soaked in the bathtub with Yun Chi, letting out a heavy sigh.

’Sigh... I ran into him, and I had to lie to him again.’

’The afternoon was as thrilling and terrifying as a roller coaster. I’m so tired. Lying to that male beast’s face was the most draining part of all.’

Soaking in the warm water, Feng Si turned her head to look.

Yun Duo was sprawled across her arm. With a look of pure innocence, he pushed his upper body up, trying hard to grab the strands of his mother’s hair that dangled near her ear.

His short little foreclaws couldn’t quite reach. He strained, pushing up with his hind claws, his chubby belly sucking in as he stretched. His two front claws finally reached a gently swaying strand of his mother’s black hair, just as his smooth little body began to slide down.

Yun Chi knew pulling hard would hurt his mother, so his grip was loose. Feng Si’s silky hair immediately slipped through the smooth scales of his black claws.

Yun Chi let out a soft, breathy giggle.

He immediately went back to trying to grab his mother’s hair, the pleasant voice from earlier completely forgotten.

A smile spread across Feng Si’s face, and she finally let out a genuine laugh, free of any lingering negativity.

Yun Duo’s golden eyes, wet from the bath, were covered by a transparent membrane that shimmered with a beautiful light. They were the same flowing, golden flames, yet they felt like a fire lit inside an ice cave—a sight that warmed the heart.

’He inherited those eyes from his father.’

’We saw each other, but it seems... he’s left the area. He definitely won’t be able to find me for now.’

For some reason, she sighed with a hint of regret.

Waking up in the forest that night felt like a lifetime ago, and she thought she had long forgotten the man’s face.

But seeing him again today, she couldn’t deny it. Except for his eyes, which had been closed before, the man standing before her overlapped perfectly and with crystal clarity with the image stored in her mind.

’Even... the chiseled waist and abs of that impossibly perfect body...’

Ahem.

Feng Si reached for her bathrobe and stood up, wrapping it around both herself and Yun Duo.

’Stop thinking about it.’

"Sss~" The little black Cloud whined coaxingly, his small claws resting on the shell of his mother’s ear, which was red from the heat. ’I wanna soak a little longer~’

He lowered his little head, his gaze still fixed longingly on the large, rippling tub of warm water.

Seeing that they were getting farther and farther away, a clever idea popped into Yun Chi’s head. He leaned in and planted a smacking kiss on his mother’s elegant, pink chin, then stretched out a black claw to point back at the water.

"Sweetheart, we’ll take another bath tonight. Right now, we need to put the wheat we harvested out to dry in the sun," Feng Si gently explained to Yun Duo.

Yun Chi tilted his head back to listen seriously to his mother. He gave a muddled little nod, retracted the claw pointing at the tub, and snuggled his small body tightly against Feng Si’s shoulder.

"If freshly harvested wheat isn’t dried in the sun, it will get moldy and rot, and we won’t be able to eat it," Feng Si explained, gently stroking the top of Yun Duo’s head as she carried him toward the bedroom. "So we have to spread it out to dry right away."

She laid Yun Chi’s little clothes on the bed, carefully dried the little guy off with his small towel, and helped him get dressed.

As for herself, she just threw on a loose-fitting top and pants that were easy to work in. After feeding Yun Duo his milk and lulling him to sleep in her pocket, she headed for the lawn outside the villa.

’Her way of de-stressing was to find something to do. Once her body was exhausted, her mind would be too tired to keep spinning. It really was an excellent way to unwind.’

Then, standing in a patch of shadow completely blocked from the sun, Feng Si fell silent.

’Where did all the sunlight go?!’

...

On the peak of Boman Gate Island, sunlight poured down, making a large white house glint brightly.

In the sunny courtyard, Feng Lian felt like she was sitting on pins and needles, while all the other females around her cried out in surprise.

They never would have imagined that the Low-level Female from the base of the island, who had been escorted by the Second Legion’s Vice Admiral just yesterday, would today be personally escorted by Lord Ying Kong, the King’s First Subordinate Officer.

Could a single female really order such powerful figures around at will?!!

Everyone was shocked, but after a moment of reflection, they reached a conclusion: ’Could it have been an order from the Beast King himself?’

’If that’s the case, then that female is no simple matter!’

’So why is she still living on the dark, damp edge of the island?’

Unlike the group of females who were chattering and laughing, Feng Lian was so shocked she completely forgot to maintain her expression. Her pupils constricted, and her heart was pierced by the sharpest pangs of jealousy and pain.

’Why is that black-haired female back again? Hasn’t Hu Ya made her move yet?’

’What in the world is going on?!’

"What’s wrong? You look awful. Are you feeling sick?" one of the females in the courtyard noticed and asked with concern.

"I’m fine." Feng Lian forced a smile. "I just remembered I have plans to go shopping with Ya Ya today, so I’m heading out." With that, she stood up and walked away.

’This won’t do. I have to find Hu Ya and get some answers.’
