Chapter 123: Chapter 123: Yun Duo Has It All Figured Out
Feng Si rose and went to the bedroom, refusing to let Hu Fei and the others follow. She was going to pack her luggage by herself.
She had always been in the habit of keeping her luggage in her spatial storage. Since it was so convenient to retrieve items with just a thought, she kept all her belongings inside it.
There wasn’t really anything to pack. The suitcase she’d brought from Nantong City was sitting in the walk-in closet, completely untouched. Someone just needed to come and carry it away.
The only reason she’d returned to the bedroom during this move was specifically to collect the wheat she had been drying.
After returning to her bedroom, Feng Si walked straight to the balcony. She squatted down, looking at the wheat spread out on the floor. Her fingers touched the cloth beneath it, and with a single thought, all the wheat on the balcony vanished into thin air.
Immediately, in an open area on the right side of her newly enlarged spatial storage, the wheat that had been drying on the balcony appeared, completely undisturbed.
This was the benefit of having an enlarged space. If it had still been just a few square meters like before, this wouldn’t have been possible.
She would have had to sweep the wheat, which was spread over several meters, into a pile, pack it into sacks, and then transfer it to her storage. It would have been time-consuming and troublesome.
Feng Si came downstairs at lightning speed, carrying her suitcase. Fox Cui immediately took it from her and carried it herself.
The tableware she had left in the kitchen was also completely packed up. It filled three large cardboard boxes, which were placed in the middle of the living room. When Hu Fei saw Feng Si approaching, she bent down and picked up the stacked boxes.
f22 also stood unharmed in the living room.
"Alright, we can go now," Feng Si announced after glancing around at her things.
Hearing this, Dean Liu Xuan’s face visibly relaxed. This was the easiest time she’d ever had dealing with a Special-level Female; her duties as dean would soon be complete.
The group followed behind Feng Si, heading for the door.
f22 took a few steps to follow, but the f22 house’s steward manual immediately activated in its programming. Rooted to the spot, the robotic steward became dejected.
Watching its master’s back grow more distant, f22 wished it could go with them.
But it was just a housekeeping steward, only capable of chores. It wasn’t as versatile as an S2 robotic steward, which was equipped with combat functions in addition to housekeeping ones.
’I failed to protect Master in the wild last time,’ f22 thought, feeling dejected.
As the group walked toward the main gate, Yun Chi, nestled on his mother’s shoulder, listened to the footsteps behind them. ’Something’s not right,’ he thought. ’One of them is missing.’
Yun Chi tilted his head, thought for a moment, and turned to look back.
f22 stood motionless by the stairs, its square screen of a head lowered slightly. It looked like it had no intention of following them.
"HISS!" ’Hurry up and follow!’
The high-pitched hiss, directed at the f22 robot, was a command from the cub, Yun Duo.
Yun Chi’s large eyes were filled with urgency. He might be young, but he kept a very clear inventory of his family’s property!
’Not a single one can be lost.’
The dutiful little cub Yun Chi was earnestly guarding his mother’s assets.
This saccharinely sweet, childlike sound drew everyone’s attention.
Feng Si stopped at the main gate. She tilted her head and first saw Yun Duo, who had propped himself up and was puffing out his little belly.
Then, she saw f22 standing alone in the vast, empty living room, its square screen tilted up to look at her expectantly.
Liu Xuan stopped and glanced back as well, then turned to Feng Si. "Lady Feng Si, f22 is just an ordinary housekeeping robot. S2 Castle has already equipped you with a state-of-the-art robotic steward. There’s no need to bring this sort of..."
"I bought f22 with my own coins. Do you want to be left here?" Feng Si interrupted Liu Xuan, beckoning to f22.
"Come along."
Liu Xuan would never defy a Special Rank Female over such a trivial matter. Seeing this, she very quickly opened the light screen on her wristband and, on the spot, modified f22’s final ownership rights, transferring them from the Boman Gate Institute to Feng Si.
f22 finally walked over with steady steps, moving to its usual spot behind Feng Si. Its dark screen flashed green as it re-registered its owner.
After that, Feng Si’s move from the base of Mountain Island to its peak went smoothly.
There were two residences for Special Rank Females, both of which were the most luxurious small manors on the entire island. The interiors were decorated in an opulent white and gold color scheme. The pristine white walls were carved with exquisite patterns and traced with gold thread.
A transparent energy shield once again silently and invisibly enveloped the small castle. Without the owner’s permission, outsiders couldn’t even dream of getting in.
Sitting in the hovercar, Feng Si only briefly glanced at the rows of white castles ahead. Her main focus was on the spacious courtyard one could see after passing through the entrance.
She nodded, relieved, upon seeing a vast lawn, a lake, and a lush forest.
Yun Duo craned his head to look out the car window, fascinated. The late afternoon sun hit the fountain, and the splashing water landed on the green ground, making the lawn glitter like gold.
After passing the fountain and arriving at the castle’s main gate, Liu Xuan, having seen Feng Si settled in, took her leave with the two stewards.
Hu Fei, however, stayed behind as a sub-female steward, tasked with being the head steward for Lady Feng Si during her stay at the S2 residence of the Boman Gate Institute.
Seeing this, Feng Si didn’t say anything.
The manors for Special Rank Females were located on the peak of Boman Gate Island, and there were only two of them.
They were designated S1, which was already occupied, and S2, where she would be staying. The vast manor came with a Beastman head steward, sixty sub-female servants, and a personal female robotic steward.
Feng Si looked toward the grand, exquisitely carved white gate. Beyond it, a group of sub-females in uniform were kneeling in two rows, their heads bowed, leaving a straight path down the middle.
She paused, startled, then turned and had Hu Fei dismiss them.
Only then did Feng Si walk inside with a light step, f22 trotting closely behind her.
A lone robot was left standing at the entrance.
It was the S2 robot, which was the same half-human height and shape as f22, but its chassis was a metallic yellow—a color well-suited for stealth.
She crossed the main hall and, as was her habit, had the S2 robotic steward lead her to the bedroom first. Past the living room, thin gauze curtains billowed from the white, floor-to-ceiling archways lining the long corridor.
The bedroom was the finest and most magnificent room in the entire castle. Its terrace offered the most beautiful views, and it even had a sunken hot spring.
Feng Si, however, wasn’t particularly concerned with the luxurious decor before her.
’After all, it’s not like it’s mine. I’m just staying here until the banquet is over, then I’ll be leaving.’
...
「The next morning.」
The move had shown Feng Si just how convenient her enlarged spatial storage was, so she resolved to upgrade it as much as she possibly could, no matter what.
While eating breakfast, Feng Si took the black ring from Yun Chi and began to check the benefits bestowed by the Empire.
She wasn’t familiar with Pantian City, so she had no idea where the house was, and the one billion coins had just become a string of numbers on her Coin Card. Both of these rewards seemed rather dull.
The only reward that truly caught her interest was a matte black hovercar.
